Sniffing Spices

I've been pretty light on obs the past couple weeks, and the obs that I do get are not worth writing about. Yesterday though I had an EXCELLENT obs (in my opinion) that i just had to share.

I went to Red Robin yesterday with a couple of friends (home of the bottomless fry basket) and we were sitting at the table eating our burgers and french fries. Every table at Red Robin has special seasoning and I usually put it on my fries. When I was putting it on my friend asked me what it was. I told him that it was a seasoning and he took the container from me and looked at it confused as if he was trying to decide whether or not to put some on his food. He then twisted the cap off, held it up to his nose and took a big wiff of the seasoning.

Instantly his nose scruntched up. He had to turn to the side away from the table and sneezed, "HUAH AISHHHOOO, AHSHOOO! Oh my God, this is strong stuff!" I thought I was in bliss, but he THEN went back to the container and took ANOTHER big sniff of the spices!!!

"HA ISH-HOOOO! *sniff* Heh, HEH HAISHOOO, ISHOO! Wow! I can sneeze instantly just by smelling this! *laughs* Now there's a party trick!"

Yes, you can do that at my party anyday, I thought. He passed the container around the table encouraging people to sniff it. Most people said something like, "Ew! No, that's gross!" or "Why would I want to sneeze like that?" Two other people tried to sniff it and had no reaction. I tried it, but it didn't make me sneeze, although I wish it had, because that would have been a LOVELY way to induce.

AWww that's so cute ^.^ man... I wish my friends did cute stuff sneezy stuff like that when we go out to eat.... mostly the just set things on fire :turban: :turban: (no joke!)

to totally threadjack though, I was out eating with friends, and one of them had to sneeze, and another one prompted her to "LOOK AT THE LIGHT! LOOK AT THE LIGHT" which was so enthusiastic and cause I couldn't resist laughing (the lighting there was too weak to help anyway if you ask me) and then when the sneeze really did go away (awwww) the couldn't-sneeze one, and another one of my friends were looking at my overly enthusiastic look-at-the-light!-friend and wondering what the heck.. and she was like "what? it helps!" and I then couldn't resist myself and nodded and added something along the lines of: "actually it's called photic sneezing, but the lighting here isn't strong enough to help even if you were prone to it". and then I sort of skidded to that cute story about how photic sneezing is a relic of old times when caveman would leave their caves and the sun would make them sneeze and then they became alert (which I'm sure you all know really). Then they all gave me scared looks, I mumbled something about google, and then one of them suggested that we get the bill and get away from the scary lady  bastard! ^.^ anyway I was amused, I like it when they're scared bwahahahah :turban:

Sorry for the jack! wub you Lalee ^.^

Too bad it didn't work for you, but OH MY GAWD! That was awesome. I was wondering, could I invite him to my Halloween Party at the end of this month? And then I need to go to Red Robin and see if they'll sell me a bottle of those spices! I know which ones you are talking about, and how cool is that? :turban: This guy sounds like a lot of fun! Wonderful obs, thanks for sharing, sweetie!

Wow, yummy!! :innocent:

I have never heard of Red Robin, but it's now up there on the 'must visit' resturaunt list! :omg:

I loved the way you spelled those sneezes, they are some of my favorite types. I just LOVE when they do one big sneeze, followed immediately by the second part of the sneeze repeated. Its like an echo... oh so HOT!!
