Sneesee
Well, I've had a bit of a dryspell with the obs lately, but this weekend kind of changed that. It all started out Friday night, when hubby and I went out with some new friends of ours. We met this couple at Giordano's for pizza, and had a marvelous time! I was kind of anxious to hear one of the men at our table sneeze, but had no such luck. The one sneeze that did happen, came from another table. It was the table off to the right side of my hubby. While the wife was talking about something kind of amusing, we all heard a very loud, "HARRRUSSHHHHHHUH!" I mean, it was probably one of the loudest sneezes I've ever heard, not kidding! All four of us at our table stopped what we were doing, and all turned our heads to the table where the sneeze came from. The poor guy who sneezed was then sniffling and rubbing at his nose, he was an older Eastern Indian guy, and he looked really embarrassed. his family ignored him, so they must have been used to his sneezes! Later on, hubby asked me if I had seen what happened at the restaurant, and how all four of us looked at the guy. I said, "Yeah, that was pretty amusing." He agreed! The next observation was from Saturday at work. I worked with one of my buddies, Karen. I think I may have mentioned her before, but if not, I'll describe her a little. She's funny and sarcastic, so we get along really well. She is a little taller than me, with reddish brown, really curly hair, and she has a cute little button nose. I've seen and heard her sneeze quite a bit, but Saturday, she complained that her nose was in really bad shape, and that she felt like she might be coming down with a cold. Well, of course, I stuck close to her ALL DAY long! I was treated to several really nice pre-sneeze expressions form her. She grabbed tissues from my drawer, and kept them in her apron pocket. Every time she felt another sneeze brewing, she'd reach into her pocket, pull out the tissue and hold it several inches from her face. Then, when the sneeze would come, she sneeze into the tissue. She has an average sounding sneeze, not loud, but not soft and not really girly. Her sneezes seem to fit her. She sneezed probably about ten different times all day. Once, she even had this really nice false start, with the tissue ready and everything. Then about a minute later, she sneezed for real. When she left work, I told her to go home and get some rest. She mumbled something about her "stupid nose." I felt kind of bad, because personally, I thought her nose was being very good! I had a make observation from Saturday, too! It was a quick one, but very cute. I was alone at the special services desk, trying to do two things at once. I had a 20 year old guy (I know this because I had his license and looked at his birthdate!) who was standing there, waiting for me to process a credit application. While I was putting his info into the computer, the phone rang and I was on it, answering a question for another customer. Out of the corner of my eye, I saw my quiet credit app guy (who was wearing a baseball hat), rub at his nose. I tried to keep a stray eye on him, but also had to watch what I was doing. I heard him sneeze just once, "HESSSHHHHUUUUU!" It was such a nice, medium volume sneeze, kind of wet sounding. And I looked up in time to see him run his hand under his nose and then look down at the counter. If I hadn't been on the phone, I would have blessed him, but the moment passed, and he was avoiding eye contact anyway. The last observation was from yesterday. I was working in the paint department for a friend of mine for a couple of hours. I went over to the special services desk for a couple of minutes to talk to my friend, Trish. When I went back to the paint desk, there were two women looking at paint color chips. I could tell they were mother and daughter, they were both petite, with dark skin and hair, and beautiful features. The mom got that faraway look in her eye, and stepped away from her daughter, and sneezed a very powerful, but not super loud, "Hesshiew!" The daughter turned to her and said, "Bless you!" I could tell mom wasn't done, because her face still looked distant, and then she sneezed a second, even bigger sneeze, "HEH-SSHHHIEW!" The daughter said, "Bless you again!" I was amazed at the size of the sneezes from such a little woman. I kind of followed them around with my eyes, but there were no more sneezes from either of them, or for the rest of my shift for that matter. Link to comment
