Trillium
It all started when we had to replace our furnace two weeks ago. Apparently there must be a lot of dust and debris in our furnace ducts, because when we got this new, more powerful furnace, stuff has been blowing around EVERYWHERE in our house. And so, as the days go by, I have been sneezing more and more.Last Monday was pretty typical of me these days. Somehow I avoided sneezing in the morning before work, but as soon as I got to work, I started sniffling and rubbing my eyes. (Did I mention that my office is full of dusty papers? Yes, I am messy.) I happened to be on a five hour dead boring conference call, and I put the phone on mute while I sniffled and blew my nose repeatedly, and rubbed my eyes. I'm sure I looked just lovely. Finally, lunch break was called, and I went down to the cafeteria to get a Diet Coke to revive me. As soon as I got back to my office and sat down again, I started sneezing. I reached for a tissue as soon as I felt the strong, sudden tickle in my nose, but only got halfway to the tissue box before, HuhISSSHHooo, I sneezed on and sprayed the arm of my chair, then HuhISSHHHooo, sneezed on my pant leg (eww), then almost got the tissue before HuhISSHHHooo, sneezed on the floor. I still had the phone receiver glued to my ear! I plucked the tissue out of the box and caught the next series of sneezes neatly in the tissue, before I was done. More sniffling after that. After another hour of this conference call, I was finally done. I was really tired of sitting in one place for 5 hours, so I decided to take a break and drive to a local bookstore to look for a CD for a friend. Unfortunately, or fortunately as the case may be, my car has become dusty again, and my nose tickled on the drive to the store. The sun caught me in the eye a couple of times on the drive, so as I was driving, I sneezed again, this time into a tissue, HuhISSHHoo, HuhISSHHoo, ISSHHHooo, and I was done, other than all the sniffling afterwards. So fast forward to the Thanksgiving weekend, which I spent with my BIL and SIL a couple of hours away. I was still feeling pretty sneezy, and I was concerned how I would do being around their dog, because dogs are yet another thing I am allergic to. I did ok on Thursday, but we were only there a couple of hours for the meal, and we drank some beers outside by the fire pit at night. The next day, though, was another story.I woke up pretty early and went into the kitchen for coffee and to chat with my SIL. It wasn't too long before their dog padded into the kitchen, and I started sneezing. The first couple sneezes were really super wet, wetter and bigger than my usual, and snuck up on me unexpectedly. If I had to spell them out, I'd say they sounded like HaASSHHHOoo, or something like that. I had to catch them in my hand because I didn't have enough warning to take a tissue out of the pocket of my robe. My SIL blessed me, and I was kind of embarrassed at the racket I made, since everyone else was still asleep. So I went to take my shower, thinking I'd wash off the dog dander and maybe not sneeze as much.Well, I may have washed off the dog, but something else, maybe the scent of the shampoo, made me sneeze again as soon as I got out of the shower. At least those weren't as loud as the initial set, more like my usual HuhISSHHooo sounding sneezes, but they echoed in the bathroom and woke up my BIL. This was pretty much the pattern for the rest of the day. We went hiking in the woods down to the Mississippi River to see the migrating tundra swans -- I sneezed. We drove in my BIL's car (full of dog hair) to the restaurant -- I sneezed. Eating spicy Cajun food at the restaurant -- I sneezed. Back at my BIL's house, I sat on the couch to drink beer -- and sneezed. Out by the fire pit drinking beer -- I sneezed. And so on.Damn furnace. I think I'm gonna have to spend the rest of the winter outside in a tent! Link to comment

Bondi
I know that I personally hate the idea of sneezing around family members, especially that much, so hope that it wasn't too bad for you. But I still enjoyed reading the obs. Bless you! Link to comment
count tiszula
So many gorgeous sneezes! I don't know which are the best; the ones that come out all sprayey while the hankie is being desperately fumbled for? The really loud ones[ including waking someone up with one/?Or just general sneeziness? I hope we shall learn of more. Link to comment
