Fits and Starts

I was babysitting for this couple who live near me on Sunday night. They arrive home about half past midnight and the first thing I hear after the door opening is, "huh-RUSHOOO!. One gloriously full sounding male sneeze. Because I'm sitting in the living room (I can't see them, they can't see me), this was lovely and I could enjoy it, alone. However, it was followed by more, perfectly identical and almost perfectly spaced sneezes, and it didn't sound like there was any chance of them stopping. Now, I start to get angsty. Obviously, this gentleman is quite a bit older than me (although not bad looking), married and I'm looking after his child. Not the kind of person I want to get turned on in front of.

Of course, I have to come into the hall to get my shoes on and leave. At this point, the fit subsides a little and he says something to me, thanking me for looking after the kid, I think. But this utterance ends in the most delicious build up, and leaves me nearly dying: "hehhh...heheh...hhhUSHOOO! USHOOOO!" And so the fit continues. He probably made the most delicious pre-sneeze faces, and I know he went to get tissues, but I couldn't enjoy any of that because I couldn't bear to look at him.

And then, the best and worst bit. After a particularly wrenching "hhutschOOOO!, he says the following magic words: "I'm going to be sneezing all night now." I may have missed breathing at that point, but I definitely started pulling my shoes on faster. It was a wonderful utterance, and it sounded as if he was probably right. The sneezes must have reached well over twenty by now, and weren't backing off. Perhaps understandably, I retreat out to my car, hurriedly saying goodbyes with the sound of his sneezing still behind me.

Whilst I have much enjoyed replaying the sneezing in my mind since then, I have to say the whole situation was one of the most uncomfortable of my life. I jut wanted to put as much distance between him and me as possible. The only comparable feeling is my reaction to sneezing as a young child. Still, for volume and quality of sneezes, it has to be one of my best obs ever.

I can totally understand. I get the same way in situations where I feel like it is totally "inappropriate" to enjoy the display. It's like a divide where there is a part of me that is still liking it- but I just want to flee.

I Very much enjoy how you write, and that scenario actually made me think of someone whose kids I used to watch and I sort of got to put myself into the ob.

Yeah, that lucky woman! I'm jealous! I also see why you might not have been able to fully enjoy it, but I think I would have still enjoyed it, no matter what the circumstances were. They sounded really awesome!

Lovely obs. I can so empathise with feeling uncomfortable - sometimes if I get to see someone sneeze who I've wanted to see sneeze for a while, I still feel a bit uncomfortable. But hell, I know I'll love thinking about it later, so it's all good in the end.

Wonderful observation. It may have been embarrassing - I know how it is - you don't know where to put yourself ! - but it was worth it - and worth it for all of your friends, who have enjoyed it immensely!

Wonderful description. Sad how the most excellent obsides can be awkward like that. However, if you can brazen it out, it can be really good; after all, what does a non-fetishist expect you to do; not rush madly away.

yeah it has me wondering about what made him sneeze, too...though i can relate to the discomfort of the whole thing, as i've been there myself TONS of times. my gad it's awful when you are starting to get a wee bit excited, but aren't allowing yourself to look at the person, and there is all these power relations and age discrepancies...how delicious but tortuous all at once!!
