chui Posted October 22, 2007 Posted October 22, 2007 k.....so im sure you guessed from the title.....i was sneezed upon in my class.alrighty, some background, i teach college human anatomy....so most of my students are 19-22. well, i have this one very pretty light skinned black girl in my class, and apparently she walked in with allergies or something last week. as soon as she sat down, she sneezed a soft double. both were a nice "Hi'shhh!" with a double handed steeple cover....the first was very soft, with the second just a bit more powerful, causing her to bend over. now this was all good...no problems at all but then....the class gathered around a desk where i was sitting so i could show them some of the dissections, and this girl stood just on my left when....DUMDUMMMDUUUUUMMMMMMMwhatever had been playing around in her nose struck again!!!! you guessed it...another "Hi'shhh!" with the same exact cover and bend....only this bend put her right over my shoulder....and apparently that wasnt an airtight cover after all..... it wasnt a messy one, but i felt the brush of air as she wronged directly on my left arm.... and for a few seconds i just stammered and tried to act like i forgot what i was trying to say (heehee...yeah...it was all an act) sheesh.....thats the first time that ive had someone do that to me without my permission....or even an advanced notice.... most disconcerting.....well...she didnt even notice....and i didnt say anything...after all....i wouldnt want them to know how much it threw me....knowing my bunch, they'd take to wronging in class all the time to try and get bonus points...MOOCHES!!!!!! so...hope you enjoyed!!
(hippo) Posted October 22, 2007 Posted October 22, 2007 That's GREAT!! Though really, i think it's wierd that she didn't.... draw any attention to it. Like, surely she KNEW she just sprayed her teacher, wouldn't she apologised? Or was she completely oblivious Anyway, very nice! Man, classrooms ROCK for obs.
vote_for_pedro Posted October 22, 2007 Posted October 22, 2007 LOL @ airtight cover! That's pretty funny, Chui. I wonder, though, if she did realize it but wanted to ignore it. Kinda like when you accidentally spit when you talk. It's best to just move on and forget that you shot a droplet of bodily fluid at another person, right? Or maybe she really had no idea, like you said. You should've wiped your arm on her shirt and yelled "Ewww!"
Vetinari Posted October 22, 2007 Posted October 22, 2007 Oh nice obs Chui! LOL @ airtight cover! That's pretty funny, Chui. I wonder, though, if she did realize it but wanted to ignore it. Guest Posaune Posted October 22, 2007 Posted October 22, 2007 Nice obs, Chui! It is a little surprising that she didn't apologize, though. Even if she had completely covered, that still would have been polite. @ VFP's post. Hahaha, that would have been awesome.Where can I sign up for Chui's class? I bet Anatomy with you is awesome. :3
aggedy_ann Posted October 22, 2007 Posted October 22, 2007 Where can I sign up for Chui's class? I bet Anatomy with you is awesome. :3Yes, why can't you be my Anatomy teacher? I promise I'd behave. But I bet your class would be a blast. And great obs.
count tiszula Posted October 22, 2007 Posted October 22, 2007 Wonderful! I wouldn't mind betting that she didn't even notice the fact that she had sneezed, let alone where; and in a way that makes it all the more wonderful.I hope your demonstrations include lots of detail about the nose [the anterior extensor alae et narium or whatever]. When I was young my medical friends described how their anatomy supervisor, when he forgot where he'd got to, would always do the breast...yet again.
Jemmabean Posted October 23, 2007 Posted October 23, 2007 Nice obs, Chui! It is a little surprising that she didn't apologize, though. I believe it means "Trombone." I'm sorry that this post is nothing ado about nothing, but leave me alone. I'm bored and at work. and I was reminded of that poem by your name.
chui Posted October 23, 2007 Author Posted October 23, 2007 thats it! next time...im DEFINATELY going to put down the large pointy scalpel in my hand...point to my shoulder and proclaim loudy and to everyone in the class:ATTENTION! we have just had a demonstration of an involuntary responseoh why yes we have had a response...you just didnt see it....this is an example of a REFLEX and comes as a result of an intense stimulationyes...i would teach a class with that much double entendre in my words You will all be graded on your ability to reproduce this reflex. feel free to practise as much as possible in the open study time at the end of the period. how bout that for an anatomy/physiology lesson? and by all means guys, come on over!!! i'd love to have a batch of fetishists in my class!!!!

It's amazing to be trying to teach and concentrate with sneezing going on. You must be in heaven
army-girl Posted October 23, 2007 Posted October 23, 2007 oh man I wish I had seen the expression on her face after! I wonder if she looked mortified or not! sweet obs not sure how exactly I would've reacted in your place, but fumbling is cute - all together - awwwwww
