thewhitetigerleo
I just moved to Pasadena Where it seems I have been sneezing up a storm but I am not the only one. It seem that everyone here has allergies of some sort. I went to the park bad and a good idea cause the observations are great. I will be sure to post some later. I was just woundering does anyone else seem to know if California produces alot of sneezers or is it just me? And How many people here are from Cali.? you dont have to answer the last question. just if you find that more populated areas bring more allergies. Link to comment
Adrilynn
I am from Cali and I know a lot of people with allergies, my SO sneezes at least once a day, and some people at my work go into regular sneezing fits. whenever my brother comes home for a visit he sneezes a lot. but I've lived here all my life, so I do not know if this is abnormal. Demosthenes
I live in the OC, and while there are a lot of allergy sufferers around here I guess, I don't really get to see much sneezing really. I don't think allergies or sneezing is any more common here than anywhere else. There is one guy at my work who somehow manages to break into allergic sneezing fits even in the confines of our climate controlled lab. Chris
I'm a good hour away from L.A. and other than the smog it's quite nice here! Link to comment
colorado198219
Wow, multiple good observations with-in a short period of time I cant imagine that happening in Omaha. Wow, I wish I lived in California not only do you all out there have warm weather and lots of cities close together but sneezers also.I am just wondering do any Californians know if the state as a whole is considered a very high pollen state (like much of the south or Texas) or a low one (such as the Dakotas)? Also is there a high transplant population out there not used to the local allergens that could cause sneezing in some people?I guess not only does California get the good weather year-round but they get alot of good sneezers also.Hopefully, the Californians on the forum post lots of observations. colorado198219
I am in California but have lived in several different states. I don't know what has changed over the years in California, but I have noticed a massive lack of sneezing since moving here in 2017, luckily moving for a better opportunity soon despite the huge amount hiking and the ocean. The valley, desert and agricultural areas have more allergy issues than the coast. I know on a bus ride from Utah to California there was two guys who sneezing alot in Utah, Nevada and desert areas of California we traveled over the Cajon Pass which and the sneezing all but stopped because of the coastal air. California seems to have a very, very high percentage of guys who sneeze once in a row, I would say it's 95% of guys here just once compared to 50% in Phoenix and Utah. Las Vegas was interesting also I had roommates there and the guys sneezed lots and lots of singles very frequently. I would say 50% of guys who I was roommates with and worked with an Arizona sneezed in fits at least occasionally. I miss some of the incredible sneezing fits that guys would sneeze in Tempe and in the Salt Lake City area. Before the pandemic, I worked around dozens of guys and it was interesting because 95% of them would sneeze a single. I knew several guys who talked about allergies and yet they didn't ever sneeze more than a single. Link to comment
