Ali Marie
I remember when I first started studying to be an actress at the age of Eight. Guys & Dolls was my favorite show because one of the characters Adelaide was always sneezing from a cold. I never realised I had a fetish till about the age of 12. But even before that I ALWAYS wanted to go & see Guys & Dolls whenever I could! The first time I saw it was my favorite sneezey memory from childhood! What were YOUR favorite memories? But even before that I ALWAYS wanted to go & see Guys & Dolls whenever I could! The first time I saw it was my favorite sneezey memory from childhood! What were YOUR favorite memories?I don't know about FAVORITE, but my EARLIEST were of the count on sesame street sneezing seven times from the seven flowers he counted. And the penultimate scene in the muppet movie with the secretary (Cloris Leachman) who was allergic to animal hair. (And I was very disappointed when she guest starred on the muppet show and it turned out she WASN'T in fact allergic. I was really looking forward to that episode!) Link to comment
Skiffy
I used to look forward to when characters in TV shows I watched had a cold or something for an episode (every kid's TV show seems to have this plot line at least once). I used to want to watch it on my own and would feel awkward if there were other kids watching it with me. Also, I liked to play a game with my best friend where I would pretend to sneeze because my "character" had some allergy. My own sneezing does nothing for me, but maybe I liked that game just because it involved fantasising about sneezing. I dunno.btw, I might check out that play.... Link to comment
Talon Winchester
Oh gosh. As long as we talking about sneezing, the time when I saw that kid on Barney sneeze. I think it's from tree allergies or something. That was my first show with sneezing! I won't pour my heart and soul out to you about my brother! I tend to ramble when I talk about him... shy guy
My favorite childhood memory is sitting behind the garage, finding a long, fairly stiff blade of grass, and inducing a sneezing fit. I started doing this when I was about ten, and continued until I was about fourteen, when I started using clothes tags. Oh, to be young again! Link to comment
BananaTree
My earliest is--duh--MONSTRO! God, he terrified me...the next is an old cartoon where this wolf shakes pepper on some baby ducks to make them sneeze, so he can grab them without the mom knowing. (Cuz they would stop swimming behind her to sneeze) He did this, like, 5 times! Link to comment
Bluebird
Ooh no this topic was good I want to revive it xDAlthough really quickly: I concur with what you said Alexandra Marie about Guys and Dolls, although I discovered it after I came to terms that I had this little "quirk" of mine. I'm yet to see an actual full-through performance of it though (I'm thinking about requesting it for our school musical next year since we need something that highlights our main actress and she's pretty spot-on for Sarah Brown- but we already did it in 2003 so I dunno =P).ANYWAY!! Onto the memory that I've recently started thinking about again.I...can't even remember how old I was when this happened (6? 7? Somewhere around there.) But my grandfather used to work at a community college in another county; can't remember exactly what he did but his job must have been pretty important and he worked close with their theater, I think. So I remember around Christmas time their theater company was putting on some Christmas show or another. I can't actually remember what happened in most of it xD But the one thing I do remember was their parody of the Twelve Days of Christmas. And one line in particular (once again- the only line to stick with me!) went something like this-"On the ____ (I think it was 3rd... soooo can't remember) day of Christmas, my mother had the flu."Cue this really well-acted fake sneeze. I don't even remember what it sounded like- the memory is incredibly foggy- but I remember it was really good. xD Edited February 26, 2012 by Paws Link to comment
Rhomberg Rabbit
Just sitting in class at school and listening to all the sneezyness* around me.*Is that a word? Link to comment
count tiszula
I know it's difficult to explain but when I was little people didn't have telly and only occasionally went to the cinema to see films. So all my childhood sneeze memories are of real life sneezes....!My favourite perhaps is from when I was perhaps six and my form went for a swimming lesson. As we were changing back afterwards a friend of mine who was changing just next to me separated by a plastic curtain produced a loud yet unvoiced sneeze of amazing beauty, a classic ATISHOO! I pulled back the curtain and asked him if it were he who had sneezed, which he blushingly admitted. However, this ecstasy eventually turned , through my innocence, into a bad experience... iheartsneezn
like count de tiza my favorite childhood memories were actual sneezes. I remember one kid in my first grade class was a messy sneezer and had to hold is hand over his face to cover up his mess after every sneeze which probably contributed to my liking of messy sneezes. I also remember that next year in second grade there was a freckly nosed kid who had bad allergies and often had 15 minute fits of sneezes at the begining of the day. Its funny how back then I knew that i liked sneezes but i wasnt really conscious of it you know? I liked sneezes but i didnt know why or in what kind of way LOL. It seems like people were sneezier back then. No one sneezes around me anymore even though they continuously say the allergy seasons are getting worst. oh well Link to comment
