Does anybody ever wish they would catch a cold?

I've been debating about putting this up for a while now and decided it's time to get brave and put this up.

Does anybody ever wish they would catch a cold, or have tried to catch a cold before? or am i just crazy. Because I honestly, even though feeling totally miserable, enjoy having a cold and I dont know why but I get really irritable when my family memebers catch colds.

Am I totally alone?

I am at the end of a cold and enjoyed it....except for the fact that it wears me down.....But I get annoyed when all my friends get sick and I remain well. You would think that being around all those germs would make you sick, but NO you have to just stay well..

sorry its just irritating sometimes.

I've never actively tried to catch a cold, and most of the time I put some amount of basic effort in to avoid them, but yeah, there are definitely times when I kind of want one. And I know there are a number of other people here who sometimes really want to catch a cold and one or two who have actually tried (and sometimes succeeded) to catch one from someone, so you're definitely not alone!

Hell to the no. My mom is a germphobe and makes my life a living hell when I get sick, therefore, I have to be a germphobe too. She actually cancelled Christmas, opened my gifts and threw them at me because I caught my dad's cold. So, no. In my current living situation I do not.

However colds don't bother me other than the sore throat I ALWAYS get.

I wouldn't mind taking care of my boyfriend when he has a cold though.

Your not alone I have wished I have caught a cold, When I get colds I quite like having a cold until they turn into something worse. I totally understand what you mean.

Yes, I am actively frustrated by how few colds I catch. I have even tried to catch them with no visible success on a number of occasions and i know other members who have done the same. You're definitely not alone.

I'm glad I'm not alone, for the past week I've felt a cold coming on, but its not become full blown yet so I doubt it's actually coming. Frustrating!

Uh...Not really, I think just because I don't like being contagious. But I have purposely induced with my allergies to get attention from someone special.

If I'm alone or have a SO to take care of me I don't mind too much. But I also hate being contagious. However, the thought of a guy intentionally trying to catch a cold (for whatever reason) is an alarming turn on.

I dont mind being sick, but I HATE being on the edge of this cold. Today my head has been pounding and my throat has not been sore, but irritated all day, which sucked because I had an audition this afternoon.

I think that is the best thing I've ever heard in my life, and boys like this need to come visit my college campus as soon as possible!!

I definitely fit in both the "would like to catch a cold" and "has tried to catch one" categories I have not succeeded each time I've tried though, which is surprising, because I seriously try, and I live on a college campus, so there's PLENTY going around...I'll only get a few hours sleep for a while, take a cuetip and swab elevator buttons and incubate my nose with it, not wash my hands before eating, touch my nose and eyes profusely...to no avail. Maybe next time? I was just around a friend on the cusp of getting a cold, which is the most contagious part, so I've got my fingers crossed, especially since I am reallyyyy stressed and sleep-deprived...

Heh, no. I hate having a cold. But if I had a genie in a bottle, I'd make him all your wishes come true. I like OTHER people getting colds!
