murphy dee
I'm only allergic to one thing: bath oils. Like, those little spheres full of scented oil that dissolve in water. I don't sneeze, though, I break out big time. Link to comment

sneezychick93
I'm allergic to fluoride. Weird yeah, thats the only thing too.Sneezychick, if you don't mind saying, how does that allergy work?Swelling and pain, and since usually fluoride enters in the mouth area it can irritate my sinuses as well. I have to be careful what toothpastes I use and the dentist has to brush it on my teeth, but usually my mouth hurts anyway with them being really careful. Haha its a weird allergy. Link to comment
ID2006
Only strange allergy I have makes me break out. Salt. Yes, I am allergic to salt touching my skin, with the exception of the palms of my hands, and obviously inside my mouth. It's not bad if I wash really good (like over and over again with soap) but usually it's just better to avoid it. This means most bath stuff is out, no playdough (not being able to play with playdough as a kid was devastating and that's how the doctor first figured it out), and if I go to the beach it usually means a severe scrub down when I get home. I also have to be careful about washing my face after I cry or it can make my eyelids and cheeks break out. So, do I win for strange skin allergies. Link to comment
coldcure08
I have OAS (Oral Allergy Syndrome) So, since I have regular seasonal tree pollen and grass pollen allergies really badly, Fruits and vegetables with similar proteins to the pollen make me asphyxiate and require hospitalization if I eat them raw. Funnier still my roommate is a vegetarian. Link to comment
Jorm
Since we do seem to be including non-sneezy allergies, I seem to be allergic to bleach, which seems pretty weird. And I'm about the only person anyone (including doctors) has met who is allergic to ibuprofen. Tylenol and Aspirin are pretty much all I can take as pain killers, which sucks because ibuprofen works so much better most of the time! Link to comment
Rhomberg Rabbit
My hubby is allergic to scented tissues. Seriously...And you buy LOTS of those, don't you? Edited March 9, 2011 by Mayor McSneeze Link to comment
Chanel_no5
I have a friend who's highly and utterly (and sneezily) allergic to cows. No other animal, no pollen, nothing else. Cows. Link to comment
Nova
I have a friend who's highly and utterly (and sneezily) allergic to cows. No other animal, no pollen, nothing else. Cows. That is fantastic. Of all the animals. One would've thought we'd purged the cows from anything that could ever harm us (like their brains, for example. Imagine a smart cow...). But there you are. You can apparently be allergic to cows... Link to comment
Chanel_no5
You can apparently be allergic to cows...Oh yes, her boyfriend used to work at a cow farm, but he had to quit because she couldn't be in the same house even if he changed clothes immediately. I only witnessed one allergic reaction from this, but it was... wow, it was bad. Link to comment
glowstick03
I'm literally allergic to the cold. As in, if it's cold outside, I will break out in hives. It's not as bad as it used to be when I developed the allergy about four years ago...I would just go outside and break out. Now it takes a little more time before I'll start breaking out. But I can't be outside very long, go into the ocean, sit on bleachers, etc. It just makes me so itchy. Kinda sucks...but I've survived my first "real" winter thus far, so it doesn't completely hinder me. Link to comment
Candy
I'm allergic to the adhesive on normal bandaids--it's not the latex, because latex-free ones still make me break out. So far only curad sensitive skin ones work. Link to comment

foreverajerseygirl
Once in awhile I truly make a mistake...lol... Do you have any idea how hard it is to find pocket size tissues that are not scented or have some sort of aloe or lotion mixed in them? Poor guy...he never knows if he is sneezing from the allergies to pollen and dust or the tissues!!!! To combat this, I bought him hankies. He hates them! BUT he will carry one with him just in case tissues are not available. You know what else makes him sneeze uncontrollably? When the hanky is washed with fabric softener...who knew????? I have a friend whose esophagus swells if he eats bananas, and my mother-in-law gets an itchy tongue if she eats melon, but only when certain types of pollen are in the air. So crazy. Link to comment
