Allergies in Library

Sorry guys for not posting recently - school's absolutely burying me in work. Just wanted to share a particularly memorable day in the library...I was sitting in a back corner, studying for my upcoming midterms when I saw a guy come up and sit beside me. He was fairly tall and handsome, with a pointed nose, curly red hair and glasses. And Red, as I shall call him, was quite well built, which kind of offset his otherwise nerdy appearance From the minute he sat down, he was already looking quite miserable - spring here has come early, and it clearly seems to be kicking his butt, because he was constantly sniffling and blowing his nose every 30 seconds. The sniffling clearly didn't seem to help him because his nose was far too clogged with congestion to let him breathe through any further. His eyes seemed to be pretty watery, although it was hard to see because his glassed were fairly tinted. As I tried my best to concentrate on my work, I suddenly heard a rustle next to me. Trying to be as discrete as possible, I took a quick peak next to me to see Red fumbling through his backpack and pull out a fairly large wad of Kleenex. "Oh man," I thought. "This is going to be interesting..." Sure enough, Red's poor nose clearly seemed to have had enough as they flared suddenly and leaked a bit out of the edge...just as they flared a second time, Red managed to separate a tissue from the wad and bring it to his nostril, just in time to catch a tremendous "HAASSCHHHMMMM!!!" He was one of those sneezers who seemed to sneeze and blow at the same time, for upon the next "HHHAAAAAAAASCCCHHHHMMMKKKKKKKK", Red let out a tremendous blow upon finishing his exhalation from the sneeze. But blowing clearly didn't seem to help the poor guy, because he was still quite congested. In fact, it may have made it worse, because for the next 2 minutes or so, he would sniff, blow loudly, sneeze a resounding "HAAASSCCCHHNNNKKKK", blow after sneezing, and sniff again. After nine sneezes, he finally seemed to notice me staring at him and gave me a kind of sheepish "Yeah, my allergies suck" grin, athough he probably didn't realize why I was gaping (rather, I suppose he thought that his sneezing was disturbing my studies...which, it kind of was ). After a couple more blows, his congestion seemed to subside, and he settled into his work. Although he kept sniffing and snorting for the next half an hour (possibly the most unproductive half an hour of my studies), he didn't sneeze any further, which was quite disappointing, considering his FANTASTIC display earlier.

So, all in all, a productive day in the library (though not in the way I was planning )

Same here! I've NEVER witnessed anything like this! Well, at least I get to read about these amazing occurrences on here!
