cheech
I dont know if anyones brought this up yet, but does anyone pay attention to that 'dance move' It does have a name- but i dont know what it is. I think its like your supose to be underwater- and the person blocks there nose with one hand and then goes down (as if there going under water)YOU KNOW THE ONEi HATE it. being a fetishist, its bugs me when people do that move. and i sure as hell would never do it. I dont know why, i think its the nose blocking thing.Does anyone know what the hell im on about? Link to comment
murphy dee
Ha, yeah! I know exactly the move you mean. Dunno if it has a name, though. Can't say it's ever bugged me before, I guess I've just never really thought about it much. The move doesn't exactly remind me of sneezing or anything related, so it doesn't make me uncomfortable.Only reason I don't like it is because it's one of those cheesey dance moves that parents do. Or maybe that's just my mom. Link to comment

The Dude
It's called The Swim. It was really popular in the 60s. Link to comment
count tiszula
I remember a real fake sneeze dance move popular in the 80s, and Google tells me it was in Superman by the immortal europop kings Black Lace. The convention was that on the command "sneeze" one should pretend to cover and at least bend over in a sneezy bob. Pinching the nostrils was optional, as was making fake sneeze noises. If only it had caught on as much as the Birdie Song or Agadoo! It's on YouTube, chaps........ Link to comment
Vetinari
I remember a real fake sneeze dance move popular in the 80s, and Google tells me it was in Superman by the immortal europop kings Black Lace.I HATED that move and the "song" it went with. I wouldn't have thought it possible that I could find anything less pleasant than Agadoo but Black Lace managed it. Link to comment
murphy dee
I looked up a video of that Black Lace song and now I hate myself. Those Black Lace guys should really hate themselves, too. Link to comment
Vetinari
I looked up a video of that Black Lace song and now I hate myself. Those Black Lace guys should really hate themselves, too.It blighted my teenage years. No wonder I hated discos so much. That whole phenomen was summed up best in The Chicken Song, "The disco is vibrating, the sound is loud and grating, it's truly nauseating, lets do the song again ....." Link to comment

nolongeractive
Honestly, I never thought about it before.. but now I can see why it would be awkward, I guess. I personally don't find it all that awkward, but I guess it depends on your stance on the matter - I can understand where people are coming from. Link to comment
zneeze
I do know what you mean, I've seen that before. Personally, it doesn't bug me though. If anything, it draws my attention to their noses, which if they're girls makes me happy Link to comment
Just Older
I can't say I've ever seen anyone do that dance move ... apart from on TV, I mean.I don't think it would bother me though. Link to comment
EnbySneeze
Oh my god as soon as I saw the title I knew exactly what you were talking about! God it makes me feel so awkward every time someone does that. Link to comment

_Daisy_
^ I'm so glad that the only two relevant dance moves of my generation simulate either horse-riding or dry-humping. Link to comment
