Disclaimer: I sadly do not own Sonny or Matt

*Warning there is some langauge*

Ok so this fic is based on a band called from first to last. They have always been one of my favorite bands, particularly the lead singer, Sonny Moore. Unfortunately due to problems with his throat/vocal chords, Sonny had to quit the band a few years ago because he couldn't scream anymore. They are still completely wonderful, just not the same without Sonny. But he is too adorable for words, and I've always loved the idea of him and Matt [lead guitarist]. So I decided to make it into a fic here. Enjoy and please leave me feedback, especially if you are a fellow FFTL fan.

The shrill bell rang for the third and final time, signaling anyone who showed up to class thereafter would be marked late. However, Matt didn't seem as if he cared very much if he was late, or if he got caught smoking on school property and, seeing as he was only seventeen, underage.

He glared up at the gray sky and shivered slightly. It seemed it was going to start raining soon, but although he was outside, Matt didn't care about that either, as he was sitting underneath the stone cover over the picnic area outside the cafeteria. The high school he attended was quite large, with about 2,000 students total, so the few people who really ever payed attention to him were quite fearful of him. And rightfully so, as he did have quite a repution for threatening violence towards others, and very often acting on it. He was quite tall and burly, with dark eyes which were usually covered by a satiny layer of jet black hair. His large arms were covered in various tattoos, visible beneath his black t-shirt, and there were several silver hoops haning from various locations on his ears and face. To the teachers, he was just a troublemaker, a lost cause. After handing out so many detentions he never attended, they mostly just gave up. Even the school counselor stamped him as hopeless. He didn't care though. It was evident that he didn't care about much of anything. As long as he had a pack of cigarettes with him he was usually happy.

As he sat alone, he often thought of his mother. He thought of what she had done to him, the night she had left, the harsh words she had spat, and his father.... She left him alone in that condo, he was only 7, what the hell was he supposed to do? For days he'd lay there, to petrified to move, until finally the police had found him, discovered what she'd done....

He heard footsteps approaching him from the side, snapping him out of his tragic memories. He turned his head slightly to the side and groaned inwardly when he saw who was approaching him. It was Sonny Moore, a boy he had been in school with for many years and never particuarly liked. If there was anyone in the world who was Matt's opposite, it had to be this guy. He was one of the top students in the class, though only 16 [he had skipped a year due to becoming bored with the material], and was involved heavily in more activites than Matt could even count. Honor society, math team, chior, quill and scroll, science olympiad, the swim team, you name it, Sonny probably does it, with the exception of most sports. Sonny was not exactly built like an athlete, being about two heads shorter than Matt and about half as wide. He had pale skin and warm brown eyes, and long, shiny black hair that was always brushed to perfection. He was what most people considered downright adorable, with a slightly broad nose and childlike features, and always seemed to be smiling [apparently his smile was as cute as he was]. He was always very well dressed too, today he was wearing a fitted ivory sweater and dark gray skinny jeans. Most of the females were crazy about him, and he was extremely popular and well liked, being very friendly and kind. In addition to all his school activies, he worked part time as a counselor for terminally ill children, volunteered at a local animal shelter on weekends, and was constantly looking for new ways to help anyone and everyone he could. He was ambitious, driven, happy and had what some would call a heart of gold.

Complete opposite of Matt.

So what the hell did he want? Matt thought grudgingly. He turned to glare up at him, hoping maybe he would keep walking. But Sonny just gazed back with a calm, steady expression, as if to let Matt know he did not intimidate him. He stopped a few feet from him.

"Hello Matt," he said politely.

"What the hell do you want, can't you see I'm busy?" Matt was feeling quite antagonistic today, and was almost glad for a chance to take ot out on someone. "Here to gloat about saving extict worms or something like that? Go tell it to somone who gives a shit."

"Actually, Mrs. Ross just wanted me to see why you're not in class again. She wants to know if you've finished you assignment on Beowulf."

Matt laughed a cold, high-pitched laugh. "You tell her I find this cigarette much more enjoyable than some ancient book about a flea bitten wolf. And she should get used to my absence, because that won't change anytime soon."

Sonny looked at him incrediously. "If you hate it here so much and have no intention of going to class, then why do you hang around here? Why not just drop out and go pollute the air somewhere else?"

"Oh what does my presence make Mr. perfect look bad? Have you taken it upon yourself to erradicate the school of anyone who doesn't measure up to your standards?"

"I just asked you a question." Sonny stated calmly.

"Well really it's none of your damn business, are we done?"

Sonny sighed slightly. "Yea, fine, see you ar-"

Matt's head snapped up, wondering what had cut Sonny's last words off, and saw his nose scrunched up slightly and a vacant expression in his eyes, which fluttered shut as his breathing began to hitch.

"hek'gsshoo!" He sneezed softly into the crook of his arm, of course, exactly how your supposed to. He then sniffed a couple of times and sighed once more.

"Can you please leave now and not infect me with your virus?" Matt said scathingly.

"It's just allergies, don't worry." With that, Sonny turned and walked away. He sighed once more as he entered the building. Stupid stupid stupid! he scolded himself. Matt was an idiot, a loser who had no respect whatsoever for himself or anyone around him. He was a cruel heartless selfish asshole.

So why, why did Sonny get butterflies in his stomach everytime he saw him? Why is it when he thought of him he could barely focus on anything else? And why is it that his harsh words were hurtful to Sonny?

Why was Sonny crazy about this stupid boy?

Sorry for the lack of sneezes, I promise I will make up for that in other parts. And this one will most definitely be continued. In fact, I'm going to begin working on the second part in a little bit. Please leave some feedback, I'm completely open to suggestions! And I hope I'm not the only FFTL fan here, but even if I am I hope you all enoyed part one! :whoo:

Ok so here's part two. [i'm really into this right now]. I don't think there will be a ton of sneezing in this part, but more than the last, and it will explain alot more. Enjoy

"Momma?"

The small boy ran down the hallway crying for his mother. He couldn't have been older than six, he was dressed in deep blue pajamas, and his voice sounded anxious and uncertian. He pounded down the stairs and stopped abruptly at the bottom, letting out a cry of agony and fear. There was a woman standing in the living room over a man, they were blurred so no details could be made out of them, except that the woman was holding a gun in her hand. Without warning, she pulled the trigger, and with a sickening sound, the bullet pierced the mans chest. He let out a horrifying blood-curdling scream before falling silent. The boy ran towards the scene, and all at once the woman turned, the gun went off again, and the boy screamed much like the man had.

Sonny awoke with a start. Heart racing, drenched in sweat, and gasping for air, he turned shakily to glance at his clock. It read 4:17 am.

It was that dream he thought. Always the same one, yet he never had discovered what it meant. It had haunted him for months now, and he didn't know what to do. Calm down, he told himself, it was only a dream, it's always only a dream, it's not real. As the shock began to wear off, he noticed a dull ache in his head and his throat was feeling quite scratchy.

"Oh no," he moaned, "I can't be sick today, I have a presentation."

He viciously hoped that he just needed a bit more sleep. He wandered down to the kitchen to take some tylenol and then made his way back to his bed. He collapsed on top of it and was asleep almost immediatly.

At 6:00, Sonny's alarm rang shrilly, demanding that he get up. He smacked the large button on top to make it shut up, then groaned upon realizing he felt worse than he had less than two hours ago. His head was throbbing, his throat was burning, and he felt very feverish.

"Crap" he whispered, for fear that anything else would be quite painful. "I can't miss school today, I can't be sick, no."

At that moment his mom called up the stairs "Sonny, are you up yet sweetheart?"

He called back "Yes" and it seemed to take the little energy he had and sent him into a fit of raspy coughing. He heard footsteps coming up the stairs and his mom opened his door and stepped into his room. "Honey, are you feeling ok?"

Sonny nodded, but Sonya Moore was not fooled. She stepped over to his bed, sat lightly on the edge of it, and felt his forehead.

"Oh no," she said, "looks like you've caught a cold. I told you that you've been working too hard. Why don't you take the day off, stay home and rest?"

"No!" he almost shouted, which sent him coughing again, "I can't, I have a really important presentation I've been working on for months!" His mother shook her head in a disapproving way."You can do the presentation later Sonny, but your health-"

"Look, the presentation is second block, I'll go for the first half of the day and if I'm not feeling better by then I'll come home." Sonny was a good student, but he didn't have perfect attendance owing to his health not being wonderful. His teachers did not count this against him however, and he wasn't overly concerned about it either.

Sonya did not look happy, but she agreed to this, "Ok, well get ready, I'll drive you. Do you want me to bring you some breakfast?"

"Maybe just some hot tea" he said horsely.

His mom smiled adoringly at her son, said "alright then", patted his head and left.

Sonny walked to the bathroom to examine himself. His swollen, bloodshot eyes had dark circles underneath them, and his skin, though flushed pink, was even paler than usual. He grabbed a thermometer and stuck in under his tounge for a few moments. When it beeped, he pulled it out and read 99.7 F. At least it's a low grade fever, I'll be allright. With that he turned on the shower, hoping he would feel better afterwards as he usually did. The small bathroom was almost immediately filled with steam, and his nose, which had already been tickling slightly, seemed to go into a frenzy. He had to sneeze bad, and he had a feeling just one sneeze would not suffice. His breathing began to hitch wildly as he stepped into the shower, and he didn't even bother trying to fight it as the tickle overwhelmed him completely.

"Heh heh Iishoo! Etchoo! Huh Ushoo! Iitchew! Chew! Haah..HURISHOO!!" Even after all that, the tickle in his nose was only muted, and he had a feeling it would be a very long day. He quickly dressed and gathered his school books. His mom called to him from down the stairs. He had to sneeze again, and he didn't particularly want to do it in front of her, so he thought blowing his nose would make it subside some. How wrong he was, for once he was done the tickle intensified, and try as he might, he just couldn't stop himself from once again being overtaken by several sneezes, growing more powerful each time.

"Heh heh Heishoo, Itcheww, Chew, Chew!! Hurishoo, ETCHOO, HASHOO!!" He could barely get in a breath between sneezes, and although he tried to muffle them, they were just too strong. He didn't have to speak to know he would sound horribly congested, but he thought at least he could stave off the persistent itch long enough to get to school.

He walked slowly down the stairs, and was overcome by the tickle once more, but managed to stifle a wet "Hhgnst!" into his wrist. He sniffed a few times and said "Ok, Ib reaby." His mom merely said "Bless you dear" as she handed him the steaming mug of tea. It smelled wonderful, however the steam set his nose of yet again. He sneezed softly into his arm. "Itchew! ugh!" H groaned, for all this sneezing had really begun to hurt his throat.

"Bless you again, are you sure you're ok to go?"

He sipped his tea, which felt wonderful on his raw throat, sniffed to clear his nose, and said "Yes mom, I'm fine."

By the time they arrived at the school however, he had drunk all of his tea but was slowly beggining to feel worse. His whole body was aching now, and he was starting to feel a little light headed. But he sucked it up, he just had to get that presentation done..

"You call me if you need me, I'll come straight here ok?"

Ok mom, I promise."

Sonya smiled slightly and squeezed his arm in an affectionate way. "Have a great day honey, I love you."

"Love you too mom."

As soon as he exited the car and the winter air hit him, his nose began to tickle again. "Hhgnst! Hhgchoo!" He tried to stifle them, but the last one was just a little strong for that. He sniffed and rubbed at his throbbing head as he began to walk toward the building, and sneezed once more, another "Hhgnst!" into his wrist. Just then, his best friend Emma caught up with him.

"Bless you Sonny! Are you okay, you look awful!" She brushed her golden brown curls out of her bright jade eyes. Short as Sonny was, she was several inches shorter, with a small yet full figure and and ivory complextion like his. He pretended to glare at her.

"Gee thanks alot Em, you're such a good friend." he then coughed harshly and moaned in pain, clutching his throat. "Yea, I guess I'm a little sick."

"A little sick?" Emma said, "You sound extremely sick. You should go back home. I'll drive you." she offered, always eager to help anyone, just like Sonny. He grinned slightly in spite of himself. "Thanks Em, but I have a big presentation, I'm really fi...huh.....*sniff* fine."

"She rolled her eyes as he pinched his nose shut. "Sonny you can sneeze if you have to that bad, I won't consider it rude." Good thing too, because no sooner had she said those words that he couldn't manage to hold it back anymore.

"Haah..Hachoo! Eishoo! heh..heh..Huishoo!"

"Bless you!" Emma said and offered him a tissue, which he gratefully accepted and blew his nose softly. Just then, the first bell rang, signaling they had ten minutes to get to their first classes.

"You're not the only one with a presentation today, I better get going." Emma said and hugged him gently around the waist. "Feel better, and good luck!" she flashed him a smile and dashed off to the other end of the hallway. He turned in a daze to make his way to his history class, when he suddenly hit something solid. It took a few seconds for him to realize it was a person, then as he looked up, about to apologize, he realized it was none other than Matt.

"Can you please watch where you are going? I thought you were the smart kid, and you can't even manage to walk down a hallway without running into someone." Sonny wasn't really listening, because at that moment his nose had begun to itch fiercly. He tried his best not to sneeze, but as usual he had to sneeze too badly to be able to do anything but let it out.

"Heh hishoo! Hurishoo! Ah Ahchew! Chew! ugh!" He groaned and clutched his throat again, for the pain had become severe now.

"Hey, are you ok?" Matt asked in a soft voice. Sonny's head shot up, shocked that he sounded concerned. Matt shook his head and the expression on his face was abruptly replaced with a scowl. "I don't care if you're ok or not, if you don't get out of my way you sure as hell won't be, I'll make sure of it, and if I get sick then you're dead. Not get the hell out of my way!" With that, Matt pushed him, sending him banging loudly into a row of lockers, and stalked off in the other direction. The students observing the scene glared after him, for the majority of them liked Sonny and hated Matt. Sonny felt even worse now, not because of anything Matt had done physically, but because Sonnys heart had surged with hope when he thought he heard Matt sound worried, but he was sure he must have been hearing things, all smoke and mirrors that only exsisted in his fantasy world. Matt was utterly repulsed by him, and Sonny felt quite the opposite. Stupid! Sonny told himself and hurried off to class as the bell rang.

And Once this one is posted I'm starting part 3. I hope this isn't overload, I just haven't wrote in so long, it feels good, and I'm very into this story.

I apologize that I'm not to great at the 'sneeze sounds', I'm working on it though! Let me know whatcha think :D

Matt burst through the door and kicked one of the wooden picnic chairs over in his rage. He was furious with himself.

"Dammit, how could I be so stupid!" He growled to no one. He had almost let it slip that he didn't actually hate Sonny, he just didn't like him very much. But he did NOT like him, no, not at all. Even if he was smart and funny and sweet and gorgeous...Which he's totally not. Matt is not the least bit attarcted to him. Nope, not even a little. Desprate for something, anything to distract him, he pulled out a can of spray paint from his bag. He shook it vigorously and began to spray aimlessly at the wall, not trying to make any certain shapes, just for something to do.

He did have to give Sonny one thing, however, he didn't blame him for wondering why Matt did show up every day just to skip class and smoke. He had wondered that before too. After all, he hated this place, but when he considered the alternative...he shuddered, realizing he had been spraying the same spot for the past two minutes, and the empty can was now spraying air. He tossed it aside, grabbed his lighter and a cigarette, and resumed his normal activity for the day.

Sonny collapsed into his desk and immediately layed his head down, hoping for some relief from the throbbing ache. It seemed to only intensify as the seconds went on. Every sound around him made the pain even more severe. He felt so weak and exausted, he couldn't ever remember feeling this bad. He couldn't find it in him to lift his head off the desk. Next think he knew, someone was shaking his shoulder softly and saying his name.

"Sonny? Sonny, can you hear me?" He opened his eyes and slowly turned his head so he could see beside him. His teacher, Mrs. South, was looking at him with a very worried expression. He suddenly sat up, too quickly, and a wave a dizziness passed over him, but he tried his best to ignore it.

"Oh no, has second block started? I'm gonna be late, crap!" he began to frantically gather his books, his head now hurting so intensely it was all he could do not to burst into tears. He felt even more drained than he had before.

"Easy Sonny, the bell hasn't even rang yet," Mrs. South looked alarmed, "it's just not like you to fall asleep in class and I just wanted to make sure you're allright. Which clearly-"she paused as he coughed harshly into his sleeve"-you're not. I think I should call your mother."

"No, please I'm fine Mrs. South. My allergies are just acting up today." he lied in a hoarse whisper. "I'm fine I swear."

"Ok, I'm going to give you the benefit of the doubt, but if you start feeling too bad, you let me or someone else know all right?" He was having a hard time focusing on her words, the room was swimming in and out of focus.

"Yea, sure promise. May I please go to the bathroom?" Mrs. South nodded and handed him the wooden pass. He stood slowly and exited the room. As soon as he shut the door behind him, he leaned against the wall and began coughing weakly. He had never felt so terrible in his life. He tried to stand straight but the walls around him grew dark and fuzzy. He felt like a fish out of water trying desperately to suck in enough air, but he could tell it wasn't enough. Two things happened at once: the ground began to speed towards him, and, right before he lost conciousness, he heard a familiar panicked voice call his name. "Sonny no!"

"Momma NOOO!!"

The woman was pointing the gun at the little boy, who quivered if fear, begging her to stop.

"Momma daddy is hurt you have to make it better! Please momma help please!" The boy screamed and was sobbing loudly, it was a very disturbing sound. Suddenly the woman seized the boy by the arm and slapped him hard across the face, causing him to wail even louder.

"Don't you EVER tell me what to do you stupid little bastard!" She snarled in his face. Her breath smelled strongly of alcohol and her eyes were red and glazed over. Out of nowhere she had a knife in her hands, and without any warning, she shoved it into the boys stomach and quickly yanked it out, then turned and ran out the door. At that point, all there was was blood. Hot red blood, burning, making the skin boil.

Matt was in the kitchen of the apartment he sometimes stayed at with his friend Travis, who was working at the moment. He heard a soft strained whimper come from the living room and rushed to the boys side to see what was wrong.

Sonny lay there on the fouton, tossing and turning, drenched in sweat and with tears streaming down his face. He was crying loudly now, though he was clearly still asleep. Must be having a nightmare, Matt thought. He stuck a thermometer in the smaller boys ear and waited for the beep. 102.6 F. That was alot higher than it should be. Matt knew he needed to act fast to try to lower his fever and calm him down. Without thinking about what he was doing, Matt ripped Sonnys short sleeved button down off, revealing his bare chest, which Matt tried very hard not to look at. he filled a ziploc bag with icecubes, soaked a thick washcloth in cold water, wrapped it around the ice cubes and proceeded to rub it slowly over Sonny's chest, his stomach, his neck and his face. He also went under his arms, for he knew this was a good cool down spot. Sonny seemed to relax at this touch and fall once again into a deep exausted sleep.

Ok, so maybe Matt had lied earlier. Maybe Sonny was ok. Or even better, maybe Matt did lke him some. Alot. Maybe he was crazy about the boy. So what if he was? Doesn't change a damn thing, Matt thought bitterly, Sonny would never ever consider Matt as a love interest, even if he was gay.

Sonny began to stir slightly, bringing Matt back to earth. What would he say to Sonny if he awoke? How would he explain that he was suddenly so concerned for his well being? Looking at his beautiful angel face, he really didn't care. He just stroked his flushed cheek softly, and once again Sonny seemed to fall deeply asleep.

"That's right, just sleep," Matt said gently, "I'm here, I won't let anything happen to you. Sleep well Sonny."

I just realized there was no sneezing in this part, I'm sorry about that, but I hope you enjoyed it all the same. I will more than likely write more tomorrow.

Aww thank you guys! That really means alot to me, I'm glad you're enjoying it. You should all look them up if you like hardcore type music, they are amazing. Also, Sonny has a solo project that is kinda techno-ey which is really good too.

Yup you got it, I'll remember next time not to go the mysterious route here :P

This part will explain alot more. It will be really long and there won't be any sneezing again, but bear with me, I'm just getting started on that part. :P

It had been a few hours since Matt had rescued Sonny from school. He had been thinking it over while Sonny slept very soundly. He was curled up on one side of the fouton, his pale cheeks flushed, snoring softly but breathing very deeply and evenly. Poor kid must have felt terrible.

Matt had just been walking down the hallway, no apparent reason behind it, just wandering for something else to do. It was quiet save for the muted voices of teachers coming from behind various doors, no one else was around. That is until he heard a door shut behind him and a few heavy, uneven footsteps. He whipped around to see Sonny leaning against the wall, and the look on his face was quite alarming. His eyes had widened in panic, for he seemed to be having a difficult time drawing in air, then slowly he had started to slip towards the floor. Matt could see he was fainting, he looked so pale and weak, he could tell something was seriously wrong with the other boy. He didn't stop to think about what would happen if someone saw him, what they would think, what Sonny would thing if he realized...no, Matt didn't care, he just wanted to help him, this beautiful innocent wonderful angel. And as Matt rushed foward, closing the short distance between the two of them within a second, and grabbed Sonny gently yet firmly in his arms just before his head hit the floor, flinching slightly upon feeling how way too hot Sonnys skin was, he knew it. He liked Sonny. Alot. And he didn't care what anyone thought or said, all he cared about was the sick boy who hung limply in his arms. He lifted him with ease, he must've barely weighed 100 pounds, and carried him swiftly out to his beat up old camaro. Car would be worth something if he took the time to clean it up some. Oh well. He laid Sonny gently across the back seat, who was shivering and whimpering slightly. Matt couldn't help but roll his eyes slightly as he pulled off his heavy jacket and wrapped it tightly around the small boy, who seemed to have gotten what he wanted and relaxed at once. Grinning slightly, Matt gently shut the door and climbed into the drivers seat. He drove the 10 miles to Travis's place carefully and slowly. Sonny was silent the whole way there, Matt wasn't sure if he felt comforted or concerned by this fact. Travis was working a long shift and wouldn't be home until long after the sun had set. He'd had no problem with Matt hanging out there as he had made a key for him, and when Matt had called to explain about Sonny, he had insisted they go there and stay as long as they needed to. He had also informed matt of where he would find a thermometer, tylenol, chicken noodle soup and various other things that would be extremely helpful as Matt spent the afternoon tending to Sonny. Luckily, Travis had said goodbye and hung up with no further questions. Once Matt pulled up and parked outside the door, he carefully pulled Sonny from the car, carried him inside and lay him down on the futoun. He had had to work to bring his fever down once, but other than that Sonny had been sleeping without making any sound other than his light snoring. And Matt had been sitting beside his head, letting him get as much sleep as he could.

Now what am I supposed to do? Matt thought. He knew Sonny's mom must be worried, as well as the teacher who had no doubt went looking for him and realized he was missing. He looked at the clock. It was ten past four. He knew everyone must be worried and looking for him, but Matt was the last person they would ever suspect to find with him, and since Travis had graduated from a totally different school last year, they would have no way of finding his apartment. Matt sighed heavily. He knew he would bein deep trouble for this. Sonnys mother would be furious, the school would probably kick him out for good, and Lisa...he shuddered again, as he did everytime he thought of his legal guardian. The bruises on his chest and stomach had just started to fade, and now he was gonna be black and blue all over again.

But I don't care, he thought fiercly, shaking his head. Sonny needs me, and I really really care about him and I'm gonna be here, no matter what anyone says. I wonder if I should wake him up.

Then, as if Sonny had heard his thought, he began to stir slightly. He moaned and opened his eyes slowly up at Matt, who watched his face to gauge his reaction. He looked confused, but not angry or upset, in fact he looked kind of...happy. Was Matt seeing things? Maybe he was getting sick too. Or maybe Sonny was so sick he was the one seeing things? However, Sonny's next words proved to him it was clearly not the latter.

"Matty, 's that you?" he mumbled sleepily. "Whater you doin' here, wherem I?" Sonny's words were slurred, but he seemed to have a pretty good idea of what was going on. He decided he may as well be honest, maybe Sonny didn't totally hate him at least.

"Shh, it's ok, you fainted at school. You were too sick to be there in the first place, your fever was really high. I brought you back to...my apartment-" no need to explain all the complicated details "-and you've been sleeping ever since. How are you feelng now?" But Sonny's eyes suddenly widened in panic and he tried to sit up and speak qucikly, which didn't seem to work too well for him.

"What? What time is it, what about my presentation? Where is my mom, does she know where I am? What about my teachers? What abo-ahh." he cut off suddenly and clutched at his head, clearly in pain.

"Sonny? Sonny, relax, it's ok. I was waiting for you to wake up to call your mom, and I'll let the teachers know what happened. And you can make up your presentation, I think it will be a bit better when you're not too sick to even sit up. Don't worry, just lay down and tell me where it hurts, I'll make it better." Matt said firmly. Sonny obeyed, still holding his head. "Everything hurts." he whispered pitifully, "I don't feel good Matt."

Matt's heart was positively melting, he smiled warmly and stroked the other boys face. "I'll make it better Sonny, I promise. I'm going to go to the kitchen for a few minutes, I'll be right back." Matt walked into the kitchen and began gathering everything he needed, filling another bag with ice cubes and heating water to make tea with.

Sonny was convinced he was dreaming, no doubt due to his raging fever and throbbing head he was on the edge of hallucination.

Matt was taking care of him? He couldn't believe this was real, it was far beyond a dream, he could never have imagined this. He felt like there was something, something he had heard eariler, something that had also seemed unreal. He tried to think back and remember, but he was far too tired for that, so he just closed his eyes, hoping it would aleviate the throbbing in his head some. Some moments later, he awoke with a start to see Matt leaning over him grinning slightly.

"Now if I'm taking time out of my day to take care of you because you're too stubborn to admit that you're terribly sick, can't you at least do me the honor of staying awake for five minutes?" he teased him, but there was a distinct hint of worry in his voice.

"srry, 'm tired" Sonny muttered thickly. Matt chuckled and brushed the boys long raven feather hair back from his face.

"'S ok Sonny, but you do need to take this for me. Can you sit up a littie?" Sonny nodded once and Matt helped him scoot up into a sitting position against the pillows Matt had built up behind his head.

"Open up," Matt said. Sonny obeyed and he placed two small pills on his tounge, then placed a straw between Sonny's lips. He swallowed, sucking the chilled water through the straw to chase the pills down. It was quite painful against his tender swollen throat, and he grabbed at it, whimpering softly.

"Hey it's ok, that medicine will make it better, it will just take a little while. Drink this, it will help." Matt had prepared him a cup of hot tea with lemon and honey. He quickly drank all of it. It soothed his throat and warmed his cold aching body. The pain in his head was already starting to fade some, and in it's place he was growing increasingly sleepy. He layed down and shut his eyes.

"Matt, 'mcold" he mumbled. Matt grabbed a blanket off the floor and wrapped it around the small boys shoulders, tucking him in tightly. Looking out at the black sky and realizing it was getting late, he reluctantly made a decision.

"I guess I better call your mom to come and pick you up. She'll be worried sick by now.."

"Noooo!" Sonny almost shouted, then in a much calmer voice "wan' stay 'wifyou"

Matt couldn't believe what he was hearing. He shook his head to clear it, then replied as calmly as he could, for inside he felt like jumping for joy.

"You can stay as long as it's ok with your mom. I'll call her and explain the situation, and as long as she says it's ok I'll stay right here with you."

"Mkay" Sonny mumbled almost incoherently. Matt dug Sonny's cell phone out of his pocket and hit the speed dial to call his mom.

"Hello?" answered an attractive female voice that sounded worried and slightly hopeful.

"Ms. Moore? Hi, it's Matt, I'm a friend of Sonny's from school. He's here with me at my apartment, he fainted in class this morning, but I brought him here and gave him some medicine. His fever is down and he's been sleeping. If you want I'll let him stay here tonight and take care of him."

"Oh thank God he's allright! Yes, as long as you're taking care of him that's fine Matt. I'll come get him tomorrow and take his straight to the doctor. Thank you so much for taking him with you and taking care of him. I can't thank you enough."

"It's ok Ms. Moore."

"Please, call me Sonya."

"Right, Sonya." Matt grinned. Sonya suddenly gasped, as if something had occured to her suddenly.

"Wait, are you Matt Good?"

"Yea I am, why?" Oh no, she must know what a trouble maker I am, she's gonna call the police and report me for kidnapping her son. But to his suprise, Sonya giggled.

"He may kill me for telling you this, but Sonny talks about you all the time, I really think he has a little crush on you." she giggled again.

Matt was stunned, at a loss for words. He scrambled for something to say. Then, suprising himself more than he ever had, he replied "Well I am very flattered, your son is a very special boy, and I can assure you he is in very good hands tonight."

"Well thank you so much, you have no idea how much it means to me to know I can trust you with my son. Tell him I love him when he wakes up."

"I will, thank you very much, bye."

"Bye Matt, see you tomorrow." He hung up the phone and turned to look at Sonny. Once again he was asleep, but this time he looked so peaceful, like he was actually getting restful sleep. Matt's heart was now a puddle in his chest as he climbed into the bed next to Sonny and wrapped his arms around him, drawing him close.

"mmm, matty?" Sonny murmered

"Shh, I'm right here, everything is fine, just relax and go back to sleep."

"Kay, thanks Matty." he had barely gotten the words out before he was asleep again. Matt then did something he'd only dreamed about. He leaned over and planted a soft kiss on the boys warm cheek. His skin was baby smooth. Sonny seemed to enjoy the touch and snuggled closer to Matt, whoheld him tightly and drifted to sleep, where no matter what he dreamed, it couldn't possibly beat his current reality.

So so so sorry for the lack of sneezes, believe me in the next part that will be very much made up for. I hope this explained some stuff and I hope you are all enjoying it. I'm open if you have any suggestions as to what I should do next or if there is anything you'd like to see.

Ok so here's part five. As promised there is much sneezing, and for those who reach the end and are ready to kill me I promise I'll update again tomorrow. So enjoy! *Warning if you have a severe needle phobia there is a moderately detailed description of a shot towards the end*

Matt awoke to soft sunlight streaming in from an open window somewhere to the left of him. He yawned and opened his eyes and was momentarily shocked to see a mass of tangled black hair directly in front of his face. Then it all came flooding back to him: He was in Travis's apartment, and he was with Sonny Moore. He sat up slowly as not to disturb the other boy, who was still fast asleep. He uncoiled his arm from around him and looked around the room. Travis must be there, as Matt noted a half empty coffee mug on the table beside the chair and a pair of shoes and dark grey pea coat strewn across the floor. He must have got in late and went straight to bed. Matt walked down the hallway and peered through the crack in the bedroom door, and sure enough Travis lay there wrapped up in a fleece blanket, his brown curls sticking out in ever direction around his face. Matt gently closed the door and returned to the living room, where Sonny appeared to be stirring in his absence. He opened his eyes and looked up at Matt, looking a little suprised himself at first but then seeming to remember. Matt grinned and sat down next to Sonny, who layed his head in his lap as Matt began stroking his hair.

"Good morning, how are you feeling today?"

"A little better, my head doesn't hurt so much."

"I'm glad to hear that, I know you slept very well last night." Sonny yawned and stretched

"Yea, thank you for taking care of me last night, I re-heh Hetchoo! *sniff* really enjoyed it."

"Bless you," Matt said as Sonny began to cough loudly into his hand. "this is one nasty cold you got huh?"

"Yea, I don't think I ever remember being this sick before. Itchoo! Hah Heishoo! nngst! Uh, this sugks." he said as he flopped back down on the bed.

"Here, take some more medicine, I'll get you some soup and juice if you want, it will help."

Sonny grinned like a child, "Yes please, that would be wonderful."

"Ok, well here's the remote for the TV. You can watch Saturday morning cartoons if you want. Just rest ok?"

"Kay! Hey, where's the bathroom?"

"Right there," Matt pointed to a door on the other side of the room, next to Travis's room. He then went in the kitchen and began to prepare Sonny's soup.

Upon walking into the small bathroom, the first think Sonny did was look in the mirror. Holy hell! he looked completely awful. The shadows under his eyes were the color of eggplants, his eyes themselves were puffy and red, and his hair looked like it hadn't been brushed in a month. he was dressed only in his boxers, and his pale skin was so white he looked dead. He still felt a bit feverish and weak, but not like he would pass out. He grabbed a brush off the counter and yanked it roughly through his thick hair in an attempt to tame it, splashed his face with cold water, and returned to the living room and his bed. He layed down on his side and began flipping through the channels on the large TV, and once he had found the cartoons Matt re-entered the room with a tray of a steaming bowl and a glass filled with orange juice. He sat it on the table and once again placed two pills on Sonny tounge and placed the straw between his lips, which he drank from deeply, being very thirsty.

"Thanks Matt," Sonny said, then his nose began to itch once more. Matt noticed the vacant look in his eyes.

"Need to sneeze?" Sonny nodded as his breath began to hitch. Matt grabbed a tissue off the tray and held it around Sonny's nose and mouth just in time.

"Heh itchew, chew! Uh Ishoo! Hutchoo! Ishew!"

"Bless you, now blow" Sonny did as Matt told him, his nose was clear for about ten seconds, then the congestion and the tickle returned aprubtly. He let out one harsh cough and sniffed a few times, then moaned softly.

"I don't think I'll ever get better, how did I get so sick so fast? Hhgnst!" He stifled the last sneeze against his wrist, at which Matt raised his eyebrows.

"You shouldn't do that you know, you'll bust you're eardrums. And you will get better, don't worry. I'll make sure of it." Sonny's eyes met Matts, and saw they were filled with warmth and adoration. Sonny was desperate for an explination.

"I thought you hated me." He blurted out without thinking, the words coming out as an accusation. Matt did not drop his gaze however, he continued to stare steadily into Sonny's milk chocolate eyes.

"No, not hated, I just resented you because I knew you would never be mine." At this, Sonny leaned over and boldly kissed the tip of Matt's nose.

"Well I guess I'm yours, aren't I? I don't want this to end anytime soon. I like it too much." He smiled widely, looking like a small child who had just gotten a puppy for Christmas. Suddenly his breath began to hitch again, and Matt handed him a tissue.

"Hetchoo! Huh Ikgshoo! Ishew, ha ahishew! Ugh!"

"Bless you Sonny. You really do want to be with me? I mean, you know how I am. The troublemaking burnout of the school. You really want to be with someone like me?"

"Yup, sure do." Sonny said matter-of-factly. "I have ever since grade seven. Remember?"

"Yea I do," Matt smiled at the memory and blushed slightly. "I used to say you must be lost, you looked like you were eight."

"Now I look older though, right?"

Matt pretended to think for a moment, "Eh, maybe you look twelve." He chuckled as Sonny swatted him lightly on the arm, fearing Sonny may have just given himself a bruise.

"So do you live here alone? Where are your parents, are they here?" Sonny had tons of questions for Matt, seeing how he barely knew him. However, Matt's face fell signifigantly.

"No my parents aren't here, and this isn't actually my apartment. It's my friend Travis's. I just stay here with him sometimes."

Sonny looked confused. "So why bring me here to a guys apartment who I don't know rather than take me to your place?"

"Because my place isn't good, allright? I don't have any parents, they're dead! I live in a group home for troubled teens. I avoid going there as much as I can, and I couldn't have brought you there, I haven't been in days and I'll be in so much trouble when I go back, you wouldn't have been able to recover there. Travis doesn't mind you being here at all, trust me, it's the best place for us right now." Sonny felt overwhelmed by so many different emotions, the most dominate probably being sorrow.

"What happened to your parents?" He asked gently.

"Sorry, but I don't really like to talk about it." Matt didn't say this in a harsh way, but his voice sounded cold and distant, the Matt Sonny had always known. It's no wonder he was so unhappy. Sonny was about to comfort him, but at that moment his nose had other ideas.

"Heh heishoo! Itchew! huh Hurishoo!" Sonny grabbed another tissue and blew his nose, then wrapped his arms around Matt's shoulders, who merely said "Bless you Sonny" and didn't move.

"I'm sorry, I didn't mean to upset you. And I don't care where you live or what you've done, I'm not leaving. is this Travis here?"

"Yea, he's asleep, he will probably wake up soon then you can meet him." Seconds later they heard a door creak open and footsteps coming down the hall. Travis emerged, his curly hair still in dissary, his huge bright blue eyes alight with curiousity.

"Ahh so this is Sonny." He said in a deep yet soft voice.

"Hi" Sonny said smiling shyly, "nice to meet you."

"You too, although withhow much Matt here talks about you, I feel like i already have." At this Sonny glanced at Matt, who was blushing a deep crimson color and looking down.

"Don't you have somewhere to be Trav?" He muttered. Travis then smacked his forehead dramatically.

"You know what? You are absolutely right! I have to go so you two can make out in peace. Silly me!"

"Ok Travis, time to get out, now!" Matt snarled and grabbed a plastic cup to heave at Travis. He jumped out of the way, laughing maliciously, and returned to his room.

"Sorry, just ignore him, he acts like a six year old." Matt said, his cheeks even redder than before.

"It's ok, don-heh, heh heishoo! Ishoo! hah itchew! Hhgnst! *sniff* don't worry."

"Bless you! Here, eat your soup, I think it's cooled down enough."

"Good to know something has!" Travis called from his room. And Sonny, not being able to resist, began giggling uncontrollably. Matt glared at him, and he clamped both hands tightly over his mouth to stifle his laughs.

"Sorry," he snickered, "I'll take my soup now." matt handed him the bowl and began to eat it quickly, ignoring Matts stare.

Sometime later, the doorbell rang, and Sonya Moore entered the apartment.

"Hey baby, how are you feeling?" Sonya hugged her son gently.

"I'm feeling better thanks to Matt here." He grinned at him and Sonya turned to him as well.

"Thank you so much Matt, I'm so glad you were there when he fainted, he's lucky to have you." Sonny's eyes widened at this statement, but he said nothing. Instead, the dull itch always lingering in his nose intensified at the smell of his moms perfume.

"Heichew, chew! Huh hutchoo! Hurishoo!" He then began to cough harshly again, and groaned in pain.

"Well, I did my best, but he's still not completely better. He's got a pretty terrible cold."

"Well that's what doctors are for, isn't it?" Sonya said and looked down at her son "You ready to go?"

"Yea, can Matt come too?" Sonny said hoarsly. Sonya smiled and said "If he wants to." At this Sonny looked up at Matt, and before he even got the works out, Matt agreed and soon they were in Sonya's luxurious Sentra on there way to the doctors office. They arrived and Matt went to sit with Sonny in the waiting room while Sonya signed him in.

"So, you have me huh?" Matt said in a teasing tone. Sonny's eyes widened innocently.

"Only if thats what you want."

"Of course it is." Matt kissed the tip of Sonnys sensitive nose, which he soon realized wasn't such a good idea when Sonny's breath began to hitch wildly. Matt grabbed a tissue and handed it to Sonny, who muffled his face into it.

"Huh heh ishoo! Hutchoo! Ggnkst! Hekgshhnt! ouch." Sonny grabbed his throat for the hunderedth time that day. Matt wrapped his arms around Sonny, urging him to lean his head on his shoulder. Sonny obliged, and matt whispered "Bless you" in his ear and brushed his lips softly against it. Sonny closed his eyes and relaxed against Matts warm solid body. He must have dozed off because several minutes later he was vaugely aware of Matt's voice in his ear.

"Come on Sonny, they've called your name." He helped Sonny stand, supporting him against his side, and the two of them walked back to the exam room, Sonya decided to wait for them and finish filling out the paperwork.

"Hello Sonny, how are you today?" said a pretty blonde nurse who was dressed in bright purple scubs and was wearing rectangle glasses that flattered her face. Sonny sneezed once "hhgnst!" then coughed several more times.

"Excuse me. Not so good" he whispered in a raspy voice.

"Bless you, I can see that." she jotted things on her clipboard. "That's ok though, Dr. Frank will get you fixed up." She then took his height and weight (5'3 and 122 lbs) and blood pressure.

"Ok Sonny, the doctor will be in to see you soon." the nurse smiled and left. Not long after, a tall man with dark hair and a stunning smile entered the room.

"Hello Sonny, I'm Dr. Frank." He was looking over the clipboard the nurse had left in the door. "It seems you're not feelng too well today."

"No, I think I-heh...haa..heitchoo! Ishew! ugh, I'm sorry." Sonny looked down, his cheeks slightly flushed.

"Bless you, and don't apologize. I'm pretty used to that kind of thing." He flipped through the notes slowly, then examined Sonny's eyes, nose, throat and ears. He asked him a fewquestions about his diet and sleeping habits, activites he's involved in, and then after jotting a few more notes said "Well Sonny it seems this is nothing more than a nasty cold. I have a shot I can give you and some pills as well that will have you feeling better in two or three days. I'll be right back with that." He left the room and Sonny gulped. He had always hated shots, ever since hewas little. Matt looked at him and seemed to read his mind.

"Don't worry, it will just be a little pinch, and I'll squeeze your hand so tightly you won't even feel it, ok?"

"Sure, just don't break it." Sonny grinned.

"I'll try my best." Matt grinned back for a moment, until Sonny broke off and turned his head to the side. His breath hitching yet again, he pressed his face into the crook of his arm.

"hhgnnstchoo! Ehchoo! Hurishoo!" Sonny closed his eyes and leaned his head against the wall, sighing deeply. he looked completely exausted "This is getting old."

"Bless you, I guess you're not too much better off today then you were yesterday huh?" Sonny leaned his head against Matt's solid chest, eyes still closed, and sighed again, this time in contentment. "Well I did have a pretty good caretaker, so I'd say I'm better." As if his body was trying to prove him wrong, he went into another fit of raspy coughs.

"You sure have me convinced" Matt chuckled. "It's ok, you'll be better in a couple of days. and you still have that pretty good caretaker, that is if you want me to stick around."

"Mmm, course I do Matty. I wanna go to bed though, 'm so tired." Matt kissed the top of his head tenderly and rubbed his back.

You can soon, don't worry love." Just then, the door opened and the nurse stepped inside with a tray in her hands. Sonny whimpered as he caught sight of the small syringe with the orange cap, but as promised, Matt squeezed his hand as she stuck the needle in and slowly pushed down the plunger. Within 10 minutes they were back in the backseat of Sonya's car, Sonny sound asleep with his head on Matt's shoulder. They ran by the pharmacy to get the perscription filled, then Sonya dropped the boys back off at Travis's apartment at Sonny's request.

"Just make sure he takes his medicine and gets plenty of rest, ok?"

"I promise I will, don't worry." Sonya seemed to feel perfectly at ease leaving her son with Matt, because she drove off with a smile and a wave. Matt half carried Sonny across the parking lot, led him through the door and over to the fouton, where he carefully helped him lay down. Sonny's breath began to hitch weakly, and Matt wasn't sure he even had the energy to sneeze. It seemed his nose was leaving him no choice though, and he didn't even move his head or try to cover his face.

"Huh hishoo! Huitchew! Ignnxt! huhchoo!" Once he was finished, his head flopped onto the pillow like a lead weight.

"Bless you! Do you need to blow?" Sonny nodded weakly, and Matt held a tissue to his nose as he blew tiredly. Matt didn't bother to remove the tissue when he was done, for he could tell Sonny was about to sneeze again.

"Hehchew! Chew! heh....heh..Hurishoo!" The last one was quite loud, and his head had shot forward at the force of it. Matt got a clean tissue and wiped his nose for him, then grabbed the blanket off the floor and wrapped it around him. Sonny turned on his side and curled up in a ball, and within seconds the only sound in the room was his soft even snoring. Matt layed on the other end and watched his love sleep for a bit, then curled up next to him. not really tired himself, but he found it a very comfortable place to be at the moment. He had soon drifted off in spite of himself. Little did they know this peaceful scene would soon be shattered like a delicate glass veil.

I'm sure your ideas aren't stupid! It's hard to say where you should go, since it's your story, and I don't know the details/backgrounds of the characters/ I'm certain whatever you decide to write will be interesting.
