You'll never guess what I did...

Yeah, so...

I figured I'd try some, uh... Drawing?

Honestly, these are two of my 3 first actual, serious attempts to draw a person who isn't a stick figure. My actual first isn't sneezy, but it's in the same photobucket album if you care to look.

Yes, at the moment I can really only draw 3/4 angle heads. They're also all in pencil because I don't have any actual drawing materials, but I did my best to darken the lines well enough for them to show up in the scan. If there's anything you can't see, just let me know and I'll try to darken and rescan.

The first one's a little pre-sneeze of a randomly made-up character I have decided to call Pilot Girl until I think of an actual name for her. I hear she's a little androgynous, so if you don't like female sneezes, just ignore the (f) at the top and pretend she's a guy.

The second is some nose-rubbing from another randomly made-up character I also haven't named. Please ignore the hand below the first two fingers or so. It's some sort of mutant.

I totally want to draw more in the future, but all this was done over a weekend while my roommate was away, and I'm too nervous to try it with people around. It might be a while before I draw again, but I'll definitely stick with it!

And if anyone knows any tricks to not be embarrassed, please let me know!

Haha, these are great, Blah, really! I told you so already, but I'll say it again! Your understanding of the human head is a lot better than most people's when they first try to draw. So keep it up, you'll improve quickly!

As a matter of personal pride, and after getting various pieces of advice, I did a little editing on the second picture. Now, the open eye is in a slightly more detailed style that I started using after the original drawings, the stuck-out finger is more visible, and the hand is slightly less freakish.
