How to unstick a stuck sneeze?

I have a kinda sensitive nose and generally sneeze a couple times a say. However there are many more tingles and 'I'm gonna sneeze' moments that come to nothing. It is sooooo frustrating.

So does anyone have any tips to make sure the damn thing actually converts to a proper sneeze?

Any ideas gratefully received.

Well, I would probably suggest inducing with a tissue or paper towel, whatever is more comfortable for you. If that's not really your speed and with your nose being sensitive, a strong scent may do the trick.

Or if you'd like a less subtle approach, there's always a good ol' fashioned nose rub. I've seen that work for several people if not to get rid of the itch. Hope that helps! Good luck!

I always sniffle slowly and look at the sun if I can.

Providing I still have that sneezy feeling or I've just missed a sneeze this often works for me. I just look up towards the sun or something else bright and take one big sniff. This usually just keeps going as a kind of massive build up, and then I sneeze! :P

It doesn't always work in 1, so I keep at it until it works or the sneezy feeling goes away at which point I grab a tissue and force the damn thing out!

Thanks guys. Great advice as always. DH has caught a big cold so might not have the stuck problem too much in a couple of days!

to be honest, my sneezes don't get stuck that often, when they do, pinching my nose up high, or twitching it really fast sometimes helps. also, if your with someone whos willing when the sneeze gets stuck, have them blow on your nose, that works sometimes, too.
