colorado198219
After six months of having this roomie he has all the sudden started sneezing like crazy! I moved in this guy in September as a roomie situation. He is 34 yrs old, 5'8, dark hair, 160 lbs and does construction. When I moved in I was sort of wondering what the sneeze he had was like, but I wasnt falling over just to here him sneeze but wouldnt have minded hearing it. October, November, Decemer, January, February and I did not hear one sneeze. He said he was never sick and I thought that maybe that meant he rarely sneezed. Even though sickness and allergies are completely seperate in my opinion. About two weeks ago I was laying in bed and hear this "eeeee---yeeeesshhh". I thought maybe it was a neighbor in the apt building. .The next morning I hear the roomie at 530am and he was rubbing his nose. But I did not hear a sneeze. About three days later I hear "eeee--yeeeshhhh", "eeeee---yeeeessshhh" every 30 minutes for about 2 hours later coming from the guys room. That cycle repeated itself for the next few morning. Then a gap, when the weather turned cold and it rainedSaturday was a warm day and I assume his windows were open as there is no a/c. About noon, I hear a very dramatic "eeeee----yeeeessssh" "eEEEEEE----YEEEEESSSHHH" "HHHHHHAAAAAA-yeeeeesshhhh". I actually opened my door real quick and he decided he open his. I asked him if he heard that sneezing and then he told me that the tree right outside the window is making him sneeze. Earlier this evening about 9pm just after he closed his door, I hear "Haaaa-Yeeeshh" "Haaaaa-Yeeessssh" "Haaaa-yeeeessshh". About 11pm I heard another "HAAAaaaa-yeeeeshh" "Haaaaa-Yeeessshh".They are getting more and more desperate, he only seems to have this issue with this tree outside his window as I did not hear him sneeze for 5 months. I still havent seen him sneeze, but he has been wiping his nose alot in front of me.I wonder how a guy this allergic to certain trees, can work construction. Sounds sort of not nice, but I hope his allergy situation goes downhill!! Edited April 5, 2011 by colorado198219 Link to comment
Trillium
I wonder how a guy this allergic to certain trees, can work construction.Do you mean, how can he comfortably work and be outside when tree pollen is out? Or are you thinking he'd be allergic to wood (there's no pollen in wood)?I can see that there would be a danger in sneezing all the time when you're working with situations and tools that could be dangerous if you didn't pay sufficient attention. Why not ask him? I'd be interested in his response. . . . .In any event, what a nice treat for you and a reliable source of observations, at least for this spring. Link to comment
