I'll stand by you

* Okay so this was just like a dabble that I thought of during class last week so hopefully you like it. Also, I know he doesn't have an older sister but in my story he does *

It was an unusually cold December day in Los Angeles, California. It was raining outside which gave the day a gloomy, depressing feeling.

" Hetschooo!"

Jaden Smith sneezed into his long sleeve shirt.

" How are you feeling?"

His older sister Abby sat on the arm rest of the couch that his head was resting on. She twisted her fingers through his dark curly hair, waiting for a response.

" Hatschooo!"

He answered her by sneezing into the crook of his arm. He sniffed loudly and Abby handed him a tissue. A chill ran up his spine, causing him to pull the blue fleece blanket tighter around his body, trying to retain the heat that was quickly escaping his body. Abby took note of him shivering and got up and wondered to the hall closet. She shifted through the various items until she came across an old gray comforter. She grabbed the comforter out of the closet and headed back into the living room. She unfolded the blanket and wrapped it around Jaden. He tried to thank her, but his stuffy nose had other ideas.

" Hehtschooo! Hatscheww!"

He grabbed a tissue to try and decongest himself but his sensitive nose didn't like that.

" Huhtschoo! Hehtschoo!"

He moaned and buried his face in the pillow he was laying on.

Part 2

" I feel like I got hit by a truck." Jaden muttered into his pillow.

" I'm sorry." Abby said sympathetically. There was a moment of awkward silence until Jaden's sneeze echoed throughout the room.

" Hahtschooo!"

" Hey Abby, I have to run to the store for a bit. Can you Watch Jaden for me?" Their mom asked.

" Sure. Abby replied with a smile. Their mom walked over and kissed Jaden on the forehead.

" Feel better." She grabbed her purse and walked out the door.

" Huhstschooo! Hahtschooo!"

Jaden sneezed into the crook of his arm and Abby looked at him with concern. She handed him a tissue and he blew his nose fiercely. Jaden hated being sick. he hated having to be taken care of. he hated being stuck inside all day. But most of all he hated sneezing so much.

" Hehtschoo! Hahtschooo! HAhtschooo!"

He groaned and blew his red, sore nose.

" Is there anything I can do for you?"

" No." Jaden coughed. Abby sat down on the edge of the couch. She turned on the TV and turned on Spongebob, on of Jaden's favorite show. Abby placed her hand on Jaden's forehead and winced at the radiation coming from it.

" I think your fever went up." She grabbed a thermometer and stuck it in Jaden's mouth. It beeped and Abby looked at it and sighed.

" 102.4." She got up and got the bottle of NyQuil and a wet washcloth. She poured some of the medicine into the cap and handed it to Jaden.

" Take it." he hesitated for a moment before handing it back to Abby and quickly grabbing a tissue.

" What are you-"" Hehtschooo! Hahtschooo!"

He blew his nose and took the medicine out of Abby's hand and swallowed it. He coughed a little before snuggling under the covers. Abby put the washcloth on Jaden's forehead and stroked his rosy red cheek until she saw his eyes flutter closed.
