BananaTree
I'm not talking about sneeze fetishists that have turned pepper fetishists (if there is such a thing ) I mean the people that pile on the pepper on their plate like they're storing it for winter, and then of course sneeze uncontrollably all over everyone at the table. And these people always have big, loud, obnoxious, snot blasting sneezes. My dad is one of these. Loves the pepper and he sounds like he's shouting "AHHHHH-SHO!!" when he sneezes. Know anyone like this? Link to comment
Nicole
I don't know anyone like this, and I'm grateful... I think it would make me supremely uncomfortable. Must be something to do with the big, obnoxious, snot-blasting part. Link to comment
count tiszula
It all sounds absolutely wonderful; if only everyone did this. I can only remember one instance of anything as divinely erotic happening [but then, I don't really get asked to dine with other people]. But a housemate of mine had invited some woman round and for some obscure reason [probably some nonsense about making the food taste delicious] had placed a glass bowl of loose, ground pepper on the table. The guest lady soon started into a ludicrously impressive sneezing fit, although there were as I recall no signs of any appreciable spray or anything really good. It was definitely one of the best meals I've ever had, perhaps on a level with the one during which my own extremely sneezy cold appeared already to have infected another and far more attractive guest.... murphy dee
I've never known anyone so affected by ground pepper that they'd sneeze just by being around it! I, myself, am definitely a "pepper lover" though - I put in on scrambled eggs, mashed potatoes, in my ground beef before making burgers, lots of stuff. Link to comment
Rhomberg Rabbit
Same here I put it in my soup. Link to comment
Skiffy
I don't do that but I do like to play with the pepper. I pour some on the table then draw in it (yup, totally mature). Last week, the day I told my friend about my fetish (the only one IRL who knows) we ended up having a pub meal later with some guys we know. I started messing with a tiny patch of pepper but then my friend poured heaps out too. We could feel it in the air and a few of us coughed but- thank god- no extremely awkward sneezing fit ensued. Phew. Link to comment
Sawyer
I don't think I recall ever seeing someone sneeze from pepper, actually, but the thought of it does appeal to me a lot. It's just such a classic! I don't really like the taste of it so I don't put it on any of my food, but my boyfriend really seems to enjoy it. I remember when I first discovered those pepper grinders... the ones that they put at your table at restaurants so you can grind it yourself? God, I was so excited. Sometime, I will take my boyfriend to a place that has them and just go nuts with it. They are so entertaining. And I may even get a sneeze out of it, yeah? Link to comment
Raining Strawberry
I think I might have seen a couple of pepper-during-a-meal sneezes like this, but nothing too memorable. Although, I've gotta say... whenever I'm eating out with someone and they put pepper on their food, I get extremely nervous that they might start sneezing... because it's generally a family member or a friend; not the kinds of people who I want to see sneeze. And I think that pepper is a bit overrated as a sneeze tool? In cartoons it looks fantastic, but in real life I've never gotten it to work well, and in most online videos it seems to take forever. Oh well, I guess it's different for everybody. Link to comment
Just Older
I've never encountered anything like that before. I'd love to, though. Just maybe without the screaming/shouting sneezes. Link to comment

I for one would certainly attend more dinner parties if this were a regular occurence. Sadly, I have never witnessed a pepper induced sneezing fit that could compare to this... Love putting the stuff on my food though... Link to comment
BananaTree
Hmm, maybe it's just me but both my parents go nuts around pepper. (We use black pepper in a shaker) My mom can't eat it cuz she has a weak stomach but when she refills the shaker... And my dad piles it on and sneezes loud. Maybe I'm just lucky Link to comment
Chanel_no5
The only person I've ever come across who is really sensitive to pepper, is unfortunately my mother. She's like in the cartoons, and she's not even careful when she spices food. It's horrible. I've known a few others who says they can hardly use pepper when cooking because they sneeze so much from it, but I've never seen it from anyone else, and I don't do it myself. Love to eat peppery food though. Link to comment

Maybe I'm just lucky I think it may be the person who did the sneezing that made it uncomfortable, Ms. Monstro. The Count's version, on the other hand, sounded like fun. I'm not sure, though, that if I were eating with someone in a restaurant that I would want them to shout their sneeze. I kind of imagine all conversation stopping and everyone turning to us and staring. Link to comment
Demosthenes
Here's a certain pepper-induced sneezing incident that I had intended to post as an obs but never got around to it.I was eating dinner at a Wendy's with my girlfriend and some other friends after a movie. My girlfriend starts to complain that the fries are too salty and says, "I need some pepper!" My attention suddenly focuses on her and I pass her the pepper shaker on the table thinking, "It couldn't be, right?" Sure enough, she proceeds to COVER her fries with pepper. Soon after she puts the shaker down she hitches in the middle of a sentence, "Woah, I can smell the pepp--heh!" She twitches her nose and giggles. "Woah, it's like I'm getting high on pepper." "You're getting sneezy, that's what," I'm thinking the whole time. I think it was at the first moment that I took my eyes off her (not wanting to appear suspicious) when she ACTUALLY DID SNEEZE! Bummer. Needless to say, I could stop staring at her constantly for the rest of the night. Later that evening while we were watching TV on the couch at my place, she sneezed again and we shared a long smile. I haven't admitted to my fetish, but she is pretty observant and has picked up on the fact that I like watching her sneeze. Link to comment
