allergic insanity

yesterday i had some things to do so i was out pretty much all day. as soon as i stepped outside i knew my allergies were going to kill me. i'll save all the preliminary stuff and get right down to it.

late that afternoon i went to the gym to run to burn off some stress. when i stepped out of the gym to go to my car i got this really prickly, burning sensation deep in my sinuses. it was so far back it was making one of my eyes twitch and wanna close. i sniffed really hard to try to subside it but all that did was make the other side just as prickly and burny.

i tried to ignore it as i was driving home, but it couldn't be ignored. i started single sneezing...big, build-upy wet sneezes. i would sneeze then after the release would immediately begin the long build up to another wet sneeze. but the more i sneezed the less i felt relief. it just made me have to sneeze more and more.

i pulled into a parking lot because i was now sneezing in mass multiples and there was no way i could drive. a friend called while i was in the middle of this huge fit and he got to hear...well, not the whole thing, but he heard a lot of sneezes from me. my steering wheel, my dashboard, and my arm were wet with my sneezes. as much as i tried to cover them they were too explosive and frequent and uncontrollable to do anything about.

i tried holding them back but that wasn't happening. i would just groan and hitch and they would explode out of me in fits of 4, 5, or 6 at a time. i tried stifling, but that didn't work either.

i was close to home so i told my friend i had to go home and take a shower so i carefully drove home, sneezing the whole time.

i took a shower, sneezing in the shower the whole time. it seemed like anything i smelled would trigger another sneezing fit. i took meds and they helped some but i spent the whole night with a box of tissues by my side, a wad of tissues in my hand and a constant sneezy feeling in my nose.

i woke myself up a few times sneezing but i guess my body was worn out bc i slept like a baby aside from that.

but since i woke up my nose has that familiar prickly, burning sensation.

i guess i'll have to wait and see if i have more insane allergic fits.
