All the world's a stage...

Despite the fact I'm paraphrasing As you like it, this obs comes from being in the audience of Hamlet at the Globe last night. Which, if you're in London, you should go see. Now.

Firstly, the obligatory obnoxious Germans in the queue; four of them, looked 20ish, quite pretty. One gave a very pretty double sneeze into her chest, sounding like "ehh-tish!". Her friend blessed her in English and they had a quick joke in English before swapping back to something like a Hamburg dialect. Later, another of the group fanned her face quickly before sneezing twice. Her first sneeze was into two cupped hands, quiet and like the first girl. The second, a moment later, went uncovered as she laughed about the first sneeze. This was very much more an "ISHeoo!" and she maintained an sneezy expression for a moment or two before what I think was a complaint about the pollen in England. Maybe. She continued rubbing her largish nose for quite some time, but I stopped very unsubtly watching because an English woman in front stifled a large sneeze between her fingers, startling me. Her nose was one of those that twitches all the time, which I adore, and thus I was pretty happy when she ended up in view of me when we got in.

Now, when you're at the Globe, you damn well stand and you get as close to the centre front stage as you can. This is a phenomenal way to see Shakespeare at the globe but it sucks for observation. Thus, the cacophony of sneezes, mostly female, was largely heard only. However, one was in view, a single that was essentially a cough (meh) from a girl who looked about 18.

One other was seen, or rather felt. Pretty Spanish woman, 25 ish, standing right behind me in the second half. She audibly hitched before sneezing on my back. We all laughed and I blessed in what think was Spanish. She was mortified( which was cute.

Sadly then I became enraged at some Americans who a) gasped loudly when Gertrude drank the poison and b ) laughed when Hamlet died. Grr.

Hopefully not boring to read
