I'd like to make bella sneeze in Twilight. What about you guys? What movies or books would you like to add sneezing to?

i think i'd have to make phoebe sneeze in high noon. not the tv show, they made a movie called that too.

The Scarpetta novels. I always thought the good doctor could use a touch of hayfever.

Ever since reading The Great Gatsby, I've had a crush on poor ol' Jay Gatsby. There's even a scene where he shows up at Nick's house, soaked to the bone from the rain and totally miserable.

[Daisy] turned her head as there was a light dignified knocking at the front door. I went out and opened it. Gatsby, pale as death, with his hands plunged like weights in his coat pockets, was standing in a puddle of water glaring tragically into my eyes.

*melt*

All of them? No? Too greedy? Okay.

Hmmm...

Well, more TV show than movie or book (though there have been versions of both), but I always really wished that the X-Files had involved some sneezing. There were so many wonderful opportunities for sneezy Mulder and yet nothing.

Hmm...

Movies: every single movie on earth would be a lot more enjoyable with a cold-ridden man Napapiirin sankarit (Lapland Odyssey) could have that one man getting sick when they are trapped half-naked in a snow storm (yes, I'm well aware that you don't catch a cold that way but you know, nice situation there...), Käsky (the book does even have that one man thinking that he might be getting a fever so why not...)... and Jasper Hale from the Twilight saga (goes for the books as well!). Jasper... I just wish to see him sick... A sick vampire

Books: Vampire Hunter D -books and the sneezer being D himself~ There's some yummy situations in those books that lead to nice things in my head, but of course there's a huge difference between "reality" and "my imagination", Trinity Blood would get even nicer if any of the male characters (preferably Abel, Cain, Isaac or Leon) got sick... It's sad how I can't come up with more books right now... D:

(TV-shows: all oh well, I need to say Supernatural here, because I'd die to see Castiel miserable in the good way... other shows would be Criminal Minds (Reid), Virta (the man on the right)... Californication (who else than Hank Moody! <3)... Would be a long list...)

Agreed 1000%!!! Although, truth be told, I'd rather go for Scully sneezing :boom:. I'd just die. I know there's an episode later on in the series where you can tell GA was sick because she sounded all stuffy. I'd rather it have been Scully and a planned part of the story!

Beyond that, pretty much every single one of my huge fandoms (mostly television) I wish there'd be sneezing. Or at least "sick" episodes. Just my luck that when there is sneezing, it's a one off character or character I'm not interested in.

Not a book or a movie, but L from Death Note. The man eats nothing but cake and hardly ever sleeps, the fact that his immune system holds sturdy throughout the whole series is wildly unrealistic. Besides, in the Japanese version of the anime, he sounds congested the whole time. They should have given him a good cold.

How about any movie Zac Efron is in? LOL Seriously, though, I'd love to have seen any of his characters sneeze at some point.

Twilight, all of the male characters. He he he.

There are so many movies and books I wish had sneezing in them, but I just can't think of all of them at the moment. He he he.

You KNOW I'm still wondering how he sneezes when he's sick and if it's anything like everything Brighid ever wrote! Not to mention, since I doubt even the truly anal team of RSL and Hugh Laurie are really worried about sneeze continuity (not to mention at least one of them--probably Hugh Laurie--would probably come up with the "but allergy sneezes are different" argument), it would give us another chance to hear about RSL running around trying to make himself sneeze!:D:twisted:

tma - I am in agreement about Luke from the Shopaholic series!

Also Johnny Depp in Sleepy Hollow and Dean in Supernatural

As much as I love L from Deathnote, I'm more fond of a sneezy Light. There's just SOMETHING about a sneezy mass-murderer! (Not that I would've objected to L of course.)

I think Harry Potter series could've used more sneezes! There's just so many wasted but perfect-fanfiction opportunities!

Can I go along with the EVERYTHING vote?

I think there should've been some female sneezing (Janeway and B'Elanna) in Star Trek: Voyager. :( Because one good old obsession never dies.

This is totally not my latest obsession talking...

Fullmetal Alchemist. Riza Hawkeye and Olivier Mira Armstrong.

Winry can go chew on her automail. She's got nothing on the military ladies.

^Yes please.

Other movies? Anything with (a 35+) Robert Downey Jr. :(

As for books, I would have loved to see some sneezing added to Patrick Süskind's Perfume, which is almost maddingly sexy as it is, with all its teasing focus on noses, and scent, and allergy-friendly situations, and characters depending almost entirely on their sense of smell... *daydreams*

Oh yes, the Sherlock movie with him in it could certainly have been improved with the inclusion of some nice sneezy Downy Jr. as Holmes. Omnomnom. And Iron Man, and... I'll just stop while I'm ahead...

VoOs nailed it:

This, exactly. Especially considering the tease of Pepper's cold (was there meant to be a point to that? One assumes it wans't written just to tease us here) in Iron Man 2.

Also, speaking of RDJ's Sherlock Holmes (well, Ouroboros was!): I think "The Holiday" needed some sneezy Jude Law in it. Preferably from a cold, even though that would have lengthened the movie considerably (considering the whole thing takes place over, like, two weeks or something like that).

And, because it's sort of on the same topic (thanks, Ouroboros!), I've always thought that the original Sherlock Holmes stories needed sneezing. Especially from Holmes or Watson. Especially especially considering the occasional teases in the canon (Holmes deducing that Watson has just recoved from a summer cold in "The Stock-Broker's Clerk" and Holmes asking Watson if he's caugh cold in "The Hound of the Baskervilles" both come to mind, though there may be others). Yeah...

*wanders away on a cloud of sneezy Holmes-ish daydreams*

Edited to add that this list is by no means exclusive: in particular, should the gods writers of the new BBC Sherlock series see fit to give us sneezy!Sherlock or sneezy!John, I would worship them even harder than I already do. :D

I'm pretty sure there's at least one suggestion of the possibility that Holmes might not be in the best of health, if not specific references to him having or having had a cold.

Christ, that was fast! (Yeah, I know, "That's what she said!" :D) I do remember several reference to Holmes' health, but all of them--IIRC, which is never a bet I'd take--were more of a general "wearing himself out" type of thing...not that any or all of them wouldn't be a perfect place to insert a cold!

(Which, of course, makes me think of my current non-RDJ/Sherlock Holmes obsession: the show White Collar, where there's a scene that--except for the fact that you know it's a scam--just begs to be rewritten from a sneeze-fetish, h/c perspective!)

B) I have no life and so spend my time forum stalking, thus speedy replies!

I'm also having trouble remembering what actually occurred in the original canon versus what was added to adaptations. I know there's a couple of sneezes in one of the Basil Rathbone adaptations, but it's Holmes faking for strategic reasons rather than anything genuine. And the entire first half of the Jeremy Brett adaptation of Musgrave Manor is full of fetishy suggestion. And then of course there's a story late on in the series of books when Holmes appears to be terribly ill, but is in fact faking in order to lure in his enemy. Can't remember the name of the story off the top of my head...

Wait, does that mean there was an episode where Wilson faked sick? Interest piquing !!!!! Being the (generally) girl-sneeze fan I am, I'm dying for some Cuddy!! Too bad her only allergy turned out to be to antibiotics... aka the non-sneeze kind! Still, Wilson is ADORABLE. I could totally go for him sneezing :D.

Also someone mentioned Pepper Potts. Gods, yes! I only recently saw Iron Man 2 (I'm so slow with these things) and when that happened I was instantly glued to the movie for the rest of the time. WHAT A TEASE! And her ~name is even Pepper~! No fair.

I've heard that, but never noticed it. (I'm probably unreasonably angry at the Rathbone movies for making me think Watson was a moron, which "fact" made me think the books must be bad, because why would Holmes spend all his time with such an idiot? Answer: he wouldn't!") Are they any good, at least? Because the movies are on TV here on occasion.

And the entire first half of the Jeremy Brett adaptation of Musgrave Manor is full of fetishy suggestion.

Yes, yes it is! :D Though, I must admit, I'd enjoy it more were "The Musgrave Ritual" not one of the few Brett eps they completely changed from the canon. (Especially since Holmes with that cold in their rooms might have been even more enjoyable!)

And then of course there's a story late on in the series of books when Holmes appears to be terribly ill, but is in fact faking in order to lure in his enemy. Can't remember the name of the story off the top of my head...

"The Dying Detective" (or, well, "The Adventure of the Dying Detective"). One of my favorite Holmes stories due to my (admittedly odd) interest in non-fetishy disease, though it does present his feelings about Watson and/or his own understanding of human emotions in a somewhat very poor light. But, as you said, it is all for show AND not at all fetishy (except for my fever-fetish, but that's a separate thing).

(In case you can't tell, I have no life, either, and so spend all my time obsessing about Sherlock Holmes!)
