retrofan191
So while me and my friends were doing our podcast, I started to get a faint tickle in the back of my nose. this was a live episode so obviously this is NOT something I wanted to do. I squeezed my nose a little and the tickle subdued. however I could still feel it faintly lingering in the depths of my nasal cavity... a few minutes pass and I feel it start to creep its way back. at this point I'm altering my breathing while at the same time trying not to make it seem like somethings wrong. we are on the air after all. I start to feel as if I'm about to lose control. now keep in mind I cant stifle. it pops my ears and I cant hear correctly for several minutes. so I take my finger and put some pressure under my nose as kind of a last ditch effort. So I'm talking and the urge to sneeze cuts me off mid sentence, "im sorry, I gotta..." my words trail off and mix with an "ahh" sound. there are two desperate gasps and I just explode. the ironic thing? If I hadn't tried so hard to hold it back it probably would have been so powerful. my co-host blessed me and needless to say my face was beet red >< Link to comment
Anonymouse
Sorry you got embarrassed. I have to admit though I would have loved to be listening to the podcast at the time. What's it about? Link to comment

PaperThings
Aww I'm sorry you were embarrassed, but I'm sure some of your listeners probably appreciated it (or maybe I'm deluded in thinking that there are fetishists everywhere). I'm actually a fairly frequent podcast listener (sort of), so I wonder if I've heard of you guys. Link to comment
Honkytonklagoon
Well, I know it's something you would rather not have happened, and maybe something you'd like to forget, so meanwhile, thanks for sharing it with us anyway. Link to comment

atchoum
Very interesting self observations. I always think self observations are the best. I hope you were able to keep the recording. When the embarrassment wears off, you will probably be pleased to relive it all over again.I worked in educational radio for a couple of years and never in all that time sneezed during a broadcast or even recording a programme. I was anchor for some broadcasts too, and I remember particularly preparing one with a history professor who had come in with a raging cold, and who had sneezed twice during our preparation period (two juicy singles, completely uncovered) and I had high hopes he would sneeze during the broadcast… but not even a sniffle.!
