alpha_dog
Hi everyone! Sorry I haven't posted in a while, I've been busy and I hadn't had any good obs until now. I had a scratchy throat for a few days last week, but I dismissed it as allergies, seeing as it is spring now. I was very wrong. Today, I woke up congested with a headache and a slight fever. I felt awful, but I went to school anyway because I have a robotics competition tomorrow and Wednsday during school, so I can't really afford to miss a third day. Also, we kind of have to finish our robot by today. (procrastination much? ) While I was getting ready in the morning, I sneezed twice, both stifles, that sounded kind of like "heh-ngxt! ngxt!" I sneezed about 6 times up until eighth period, all of them somewhat girly, most of them were like "itshew!" or something. During ninth period I worked on the robot with my friends B and R so that it would be ready to be delivered to the college hosing the competition by 3:30. We sanded, painted, and rewired the circuit board by re soldering some wires. All of the sawdust made me sneeze so much, it was awful. Soldering was the worst though. For anyone who has ever had to inhale soldering fumes for more than a few minutes, you know how bad of a headache they can cause. That definitely didn't help me feel better. I actually had to step outside for a while and breathe some fresh air. The teacher in the woodshop room with us sent B out with me to make sure I didn't die or something. While I was outside, I sneezed seventeen times in a row with B RIGHT THERE I hate sneezing in front of people. I couldn't even stifle because my head hurt so bad I thought it would explode if I did. B was amazed at how much I sneezed and was like "... bless you..." and I answered him with a congested "thadks" and we walked back inside. Thank god I had tissues in my pocket, those were messy. Now I'm at home, and I have to go into the bathroom and blow my nose literally every ten minutes. I hope you enjoyed my cold obs for today; someone shoud enjoy this, because I'm definitely not. I'm going to bed now so that I can get up early to go to my robotics competition tomorrow, and maybe function while I'm there. Can someone please just put me out of my misery? I hope you enjoyed. Also, sorry if this isn't very coherent. Link to comment

alpha_dog
Thanks everyone I only sneezed twice today after my shift of robot operation. An operator after me accidentally ripped off a wire from the circuit board while turning a corner in a maze we had to navigate. Because I made the board, I had to fix it by re-soldering the wire. The smell of molten solder made me sneeze a double, "heh-eschew! ishew!" but that was it all day, which was surprising because my nose was so itchy. I was rubbing it constantly. At least our robot didn't explode Now I have to do all the work I missed today! I guess I'm not sleeping tonight. So much for resting. Link to comment
NoV
Wow - sneezing AND robots!? Somehow you have managed to combine two of the greatest things in life, all in one exquisite obs. Thanks for sharing this - watch out for that hot solder Link to comment
Honkytonklagoon
Seventeen Times in a Row!!??? Awesome. I'm sorry you felt like you wanted to die at that moment, but... And I'm glad you're feeling a bit better today. Link to comment

alpha_dog
Thank you for the blessings And don't worry NoV, I already learned my lesson about hot solder The second day of our competition was postponed until tomorrow, so i just had a regular day today. And by regular, i mean very sneezy. I probably sneezed forty-ish times today. For some specific obs, i sneezed four times in math today at the end of class. Everyone was talking, so no one really noticed. It sounded kind of like "ishew! huh-eschew! hhh... itshew! shew!" I got a bless you from the freshman sitting next to me, which was nice, but I hate sneezing in front of people. I sat outside during lunch today because it was warm out, which was probably a bad idea because the pollen count was like over 9000. I remember having a mini-fit of thirteen that consisted of girly-ish sneezes like pretty much all of my sneezes are. They're not obnoxiously feminine, but they are kind of high pitched. Lol, I just sneezed while typing! It was like "hetchoo!" and I didn't have a lot of time to cover, so I accidentally sprayed my keyboard a little. Oops Link to comment

StarryView
Get better! If I have to sneeze in front of people, I instinctively stifle it.. too embarrassing any other way! Link to comment
