blackfour
Ok, I have a friend called David...I've got a thing for him, but...well, he doesn't feel the same, less said the better...anyway, he's 18, blonde, with his hair untidy and unfashionable. He's a cyclist, and thin with it, so clothes just hang off him...he's also got a fairly adorable way of speaking, replacing all his Rs with Ws, which annoys him, but just...well, endears him to me. Anyway, David suffers with hayfever. Badly. And in the best possible way.Yesterday, we were at the railway station, talking about...some nonsense, like as not. Throughout the conversation, I could see him getting sneezier and sneezier...his eyes started tearing a little, and reddening, and his nostrils kept flaring a bit, with much sniffing. Finally, his nose overloaded on pollen, and he took a step back, stopped talking, and paused, a pre-sneeze look frozen on his face, for about ten seconds...then he tipped forwards and, in typical David fashion, bellowed out an "ah-CHOO!". Then he sniffed, complained about his hayfever, and we carried on talking...with me doing mental flips of joy.The best bit is, there's another six weeks of hayfever to go! I love summer! blackfour
I'm sure I'll see much more, he's usually really reliable...if he wasn't so adorable with it, it'd not be special, but...just...yeah. He is. Damn him. Link to comment
Mr. Black Cherry Berry Tea
Gotta say, I really liked this obs. "Overloaded on pollen" is a very nice turn of phrase. Thanks for sharing. Link to comment
blackfour
I know, it just works so well...thing is, he does look overloaded, it's hard to describe...but if you watch him, he just seems to get more and more stuffy until he can't contain it anymore...which is why it's so good to watch! atchoum
Thanks for a wonderful obs!I like the way he is not at all embarrassed by his sneeze, as some hayfever sufferers are. Perhaps because he sneezes singles rather than multiples...? Link to comment
