Ali Marie
I'm a very busy Teenager working in show business. I'm a leading character in a musical called Carnival! Not to mention the only Voice Coach, Magician & Juggler that the cast of Carnival! has. As you can imagine; I get to bed VERY late! I get at least 4 hours of sleep every night. Latley my allergies have been worse than usual. Particularly very early in the Morning. Could it possibly be a new allergy? Link to comment
Pearlised
What do you mean new allergy? Lack of sleep can't be an allergy as an allergy is you're body's response to an irritant. The lack of sleep will lower you're immune system leading to your allergies worsening slightly. Hope that helped Link to comment
NoV
Allergies can get worse, get better or you can develop a new allergy at any time during your life, so it could be something new. Don't think amount of sleep would affect it though Link to comment
Trillium
Lack of sleep can affect one's immune system and/or cause stress, making allergies worse. Or it could be the stress of all the roles you're carrying in the production.Or, it could just be the pollen count.Or PMS.Or . . . . a number of different factors.BTW, allergies are always worse in the morning. Has to do with the body's circadian rhythym. Link to comment
Chanel_no5
Or PMS.*nods* I sometimes get allergic symptoms when I have PMS. And I've done several blood tests that shows that I don't have any allergies at all. Weird, but, well, hormones... Link to comment

r
Interesting. We could always tell when my ex's period would be starting (usually about 72 hours after the sneezes began) because she got uncharacteristically sneezy (for her) at that time of her cycle. Link to comment

Sometimes it feels as if I'm about to go down in the flames of the worst flu ever, and then a few days later, I'm fine. Apart from other things, of course. But yes. PMS can definitely cause allergic-like symptoms. Link to comment
