gottasneeze1
Hi, there's something that I noticed that maybe you guys can help explain. When I stifle a sneeze, even though no air goes through my nose, the tickle still goes away after. Since whatever made me sneeze is still in my nose, why does a stifled sneeze make the tickle go away? Link to comment
VoOs
Just because no air is expelled through the nose doesn't mean that there is no air moving inside the nasal passages as you stifle. The irritant may still be there, but it was probably knocked loose into a less tickly position. Link to comment
Chanel_no5
I agree with VoOs, that's probably the reason. a less tickly position.I kind of liked that quote a lot. Link to comment

streetclub54
I don't know I would tend to think that it would help to stifle a sneeze and I have seen people where stifling does not help at all and they just keep on sneezing where in others some it helps more that letting the sneeze out. I would definitely say it something that vairyies form person to person but ad to why I am not sure ? Link to comment
