Public accidents

It seems most of us are able to resist our sneezes while in public. but, have you ever had an embarrassing moment where you just couldn't help it?

Um... all the time? But I don't usually try not to. Does that disqualify me from this question ?

We were doing a group project and I was calling one of the girls in my group. She didn't answer so I was leaving a message, and I sneezed. That was so awkward. Especially since I didn't really know her that well.

Yup. I was in the store with a bunch of friends and I realized I was going to sneeze so I hung back and tried to stifle it. I couldn't and it made this loud embarrassment squelching sound and everybody turned to look at me. One of them asked what that was. I told them it was a sneeze. Then they proceeded to make fun of it and much embarrassing sneeze chatter ensued.

I don't remember any really mortifying accidents EXCEPT one thing when I was about 11 years old. My parents and I were on vacation down by the coast for a weekend, and I think I had a cold or was getting a cold or something, and I felt the urge to sneeze. I have not sneezed in front of my parents (apart from this one time) since I was about 6 years old and just did NOT want to sneeze then.

And very strangely, I just could not hold it in or make it go away, and it came out, as a sort of half stifle / half sneeze like "Huh-emmfhschh!" and both my parents looked at me and made a big fuss, which I HATE, and...it was so, so bad. I wanted to drop through the floor right then and there.
