Fictional Characters...

Now, this is a thread for us to compare our fantasies from then to now. What I mean is, compare what fictional characters you used to want to see sneeze, and who you do now? "Then" being within the last 3-10 years or so, and "Now" being...now.

For example.

Then: Wilt from Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends (don't judge me. ), Cosmo from The Fairly Odd Parents, Sasuke from Naruto, Sanji from One Piece, Nergal from The Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy, Numbuh 2 from KND (Hey, I was, like, seven. )...I'm sure there's PLENTY more, but these are all just from the top of my head.

Now: Barney from How I Met Your Mother (I've seen two episodes where he sneezes, one of those episodes involving him catching a horrible cold, but I want more. ), Stan Smith from American Dad, Reid from Criminal Minds, Draco Malfoy (because that boy is MADE of sex), Frank Iero from My Chemical Romance, and...once again, I'm sure there's more, but these are all just at the top of my head.

What about you lot? What are your "Then and Now"'s?

Oh wow... I don't think there is "then" and "now" with my wants. Although there are some that are more relevant at the moment than they were before, but...

Scully from "X-files", Janeway from "Star Trek:Voyager", Madeline from "North and South", Patsy from "Absolutely Fabulous", and a few comic characters/Disney characters have always been there.

Nowadays, I'm actually more into "real people" than characters. But well, I'd love a good allergy fit from the book character Scarpetta, for example.

I was literally thinking about this one the other day.

Back when I was a kid I was actually scared of my favorite characters sneezing. Whenever there was a sick episode I would get so anxious until the end because I was afraid my favorites would sneeze. Not totally sure why.

Currently, though, I have to agree with Reid from Criminal Minds, definitely.

Oooh, I agree with this. I only started watching Metalocalypse a few weeks ago (I'm easing myself into it...it KINDA terrifies me. ), but I totally LOVE Skwis and Toki. Sneezes would be AWESOME.

I dunno about EVERY character, though. Murderface would prolly make me vomit.

Well... see, I read the Harry Potter books when I was five, about the time when I first had any thoughts at all about sneezing (and back then they were a mix of good and bad), and so they were definitely involved in my very first sneeze fantasies. And... they still are . I kind of like that fact, actually.

But I mean, as a kid, when I watched PBS Kids shows, say, those were some of my favorites to fantasize about (Slider from Cyberchase? The Prince from Mr. Rogers, who I now realize is really creepy?), and now it's just... whatever book/movie/TV show I'm currently enthralled with.

I guess my answer is that I am very obsessive by nature, and my fictional sneezer of interest is always just someone from whatever I'm currently obsessed with, and with the exception of Harry Potter, that is always changing anyway.

I didn't really care who sneezed, I just always hoped for sneezes in all my TV shows. I was less picky back then.

NOW:

- Damon Salvatore from Vampire Diaries.

- Remus Lupin from Harry Potter (Not the actor who plays him, that would be horrifying. I want to see who I've casted in my head).

- Ted Mosby from How I Met Your Mother

- Tate from American Horror Story

By the way Galaxy, Barney sneezes in four episodes of How I Met Your Mother. In Season 2 Episode 11: "How Lily Stole Christmas," he sneezes multiple times from a cold. At the end of Season 5 Episode 18: "Say Cheese," he sneezes once from cilantro, but it is more of a silly sneeze. There is a decent buildup though. In Season 6 Episode 18: "A Change of Heart," Barney catches a cold again and sneezes twice. Finally, in Season 7 Episode 3: "The Ducky Tie," Barney sneezes 6 times throughout the episode, and they are amazing. His sneezes in this episode are the best I've ever seen on television. I watch them again and again. I <3 Barney!
