“Stop stifling! It’s bad for you.”

Kyle blushed but smiled at Jesse. The boys were lying on their respective beds in their dorm room, trying to finish their homework. It had been exactly 1 week since their first kiss and since Jesse had first asked Kyle out. Both boys had been high on life for the past week until yesterday when Kyle had caught a nasty cold, most likely from Julian.

“Haishoo! Haishoo! Hxxt!”

“Kyle, no more stifling.”

“Sorry Jesse.”

Kyle sniffled miserably and wiped his nose on his, by now, well-used tissue. Jesse smiled at his new boyfriend and got up, grabbing the tissue box as he walked to Kyle’s bed. Kyle smiled and allowed Jesse to pull him down and lay on his chest. Jesse kissed the top of Kyle’s head and rubbed his back as he felt Kyle’s breath hitch again.

“Haishoo! Haishoo! HAISHOO!”

“Bless you.”

Kyle groaned and rolled onto his side, burying his face in his hands and coughing. Jesse smiled and rolled over next to him, spooning up behind him. The boys lay in comfortable silence until Jesse let out a laugh. Kyle turned slightly to look at him.

“What?”

“You’re the little spoon.”

“Yeah? So?”

“That makes you the girl in this relationship.”

Kyle let out a small laugh and shook his head as he realized where this was going. Jesse smiled.

“You’re Jesse’s girl. Like the song.”

“Jesse?”

“Yeah babe?”

“Shut up.”

Prompt: All I Want For Christmas Is You (Mariah Carey)

Characters: Daniel/Julian (cold)

Julian sniffled in his room, wishing Daniel was here. They were in their junior year of college and they had gotten an apartment with Jesse and Kyle. All his friends had gone home for the holidays except Julian, who had nowhere to go. To top everything off, he had a bad cold on Christmas Eve. Julian jumped as he heard his phone ring. His caller ID revealed it was Daniel who was calling.

“Danny?”

“Hi baby. How are you?”

“Hshoo! Hshoo!”

“Babe, are you sick?”

“Yeah.”

“Oh Julian, I’m sorry you’re sick on Christmas.”

“It’s okay.”

“Why don’t you go make some soup and hot chocolate? That might make you feel better.”

Julian sniffled.

“I just wish you were here.”

It was at that moment that Julian heard the front door open. His attention shot back to the phone as he heard Daniel speaking through the phone again.

“Well, Christmas is a time when wishes come true.”

The door to Julian’s bedroom opened and in walked his gorgeous boyfriend.

“So Merry Christmas Julian.”

Julian dropped his phone and went to hug Daniel tightly. Daniel laughed and tilted Julian’s head up, kissing his lips.

“I’m sorry your sick sweetheart.”

Julian smiled before pitching forward.

“Hshoo! Hshoo! Hshoo! H…HASHOO!”

“Bless you Julian.”

Julian looked back up at Daniel and nuzzled his nose.

“Doesn’t matter. I got my Christmas wish. I got you.”

Cody walked into his room and smiled as he saw the chocolates on his bed. Andy had been giving him sweet little gifts all day for Valentine’s Day and Cody couldn’t keep the smile off his face. There was a soft knock on the door and Cody rapidly opened it, knowing it would be his boyfriend. His smile widened when he saw the bouquet of roses Andy had in his arm. Andy kissed Cody’s cheek.

“These are for you baby.”

Cody pulled Andy into a passionate kiss, thanking him silently. Andy smiled into the kiss and passed the roses to his boyfriend. Cody smiled until he felt his nose begin to tickle.

“Ashoo! Aishoo! Ishoo!”

“Bless you Cody.”

“Thanks babe.”

Cody put the flowers on his desk before pulling Andy into another kiss. Andy pulled Cody down onto the bed, slipping his hand under Cody’s shirt. Cody moaned into the kiss and began to pull Andy’s shirt off before he rapidly turned away.

“Aishoo! Hshoo! Ishht!”

Andy pulled himself further away from his boyfriend and looked Cody in the eye.

“Babe, are you allergic to roses?”

Cody shook his head.

“No, I’m allergic to dust and cats. You know that…that,,,Ishoo! Aishoo! Aishoo!”

Andy smiled and shook his head.

“Babe, I think you’re allergic to the roses.”

“I’m nnn…nnn…not.”

Andy pulled the roses to Cody’s face.

“Smell them.”

Cody rolled his eyes but inhaled and immediately felt his nose tingle.

“Aishoo! Ishoo! Issht! Issht! Ashoo! Aishoo! Hashoo! A….A….AISHOO! HSHOO! ISHOO! ISHOO! ISHOO! AISHOO! ISHOO!”

Cody sniffled and glanced up at Andy, embarrassed. Andy laughed and kissed Cody’s lips.

“Bless you my allergic baby. I’ll get rid of the roses when I leave.”

“Andy…”

“Yeah babe?”

“I love you. Aishoo!”

“I love you too. And bless you.”

Prompt: Growing Up The Hard Way (Foreigner)

Julian stared longingly at the photo of Daniel’s family on his boyfriend’s dresser. He was happy for his boyfriend, really he was. He was happy Daniel had a family he loved and trusted but it made him feel even worse about his family.

“Hshoo! Hshoo! Hshoo!”

“Bless you gorgeous.”

Julian turned around to see his boyfriend standing in the doorway. Julian smiled at Daniel and walked over to his boyfriend, hugging him. Daniel kissed Julian’s forehead.

“Allergies?”

Julian nodded and sniffled miserably. Daniel kissed his head again.

“Are you okay?”

“Yeah. Just thinking about how different our lives were growing up.”

Daniel sighed and wrapped his arms around Julian. Julian nuzzled his neck, causing his nose to twitch.

“Hshoo! Hshoo! Hshoo!”

“Bless you gorgeous.”

Julian sighed and curled up closer to Daniel. Daniel, sensing his boyfriend’s unease, pulled him over to his bed and sat down with the smaller boy in his lap.

“Julian?”

“Yeah.”

“Would you come home with me this summer? I want you to meet my family. I know you’ll love them and you could just move in for a few months.”

Julian smiled his beautiful smile and kissed Daniel’s nose.

“Thank you.”

“HASHOO! HASHOO! HASHOO!”

“Bless you Matty!”

Matt sniffled miserably as he continued to pack the box. Matt and his girlfriend Nikki were moving into their first apartment and, while they were packing up their boxes, they had kicked up a ton of dust, setting off Matt’s allergies.

“HASHOO! HASHOO!”

“Honey, did you take your allergy medication?”

“Yeah. There’s just too much du…du…HASHOO! HASHOO!”

Nikki smiled and walked over to her sniffly, allergic boyfriend and helped him stand up.

“Honey, why don’t you go take a walk outside? Maybe fresh air will do you good.”

“Yes, so I can start sneezing cause of the massive amount of pollen in the…HASHOO! HASHOO!”

Nikki smiled and kissed her boyfriend’s forehead.

“Bless you my sweet baby. What can I do for you?”

Matt sniffled and leaned his head against Nikki’s. Nikki sighed.

“I’m sorry you feel bad honey.”

“It’s okay. Let’s just finish packing and get out of here.”

Matt returned to packing, still sniffling. Nikki came up behind him and wrapped her arms around his waist.

“I love you Matty.”

Matt smiled and turned around to kiss his girlfriend.

“I love you too.”

Prompt: I Want To Hold Your Hand (The Beatles)

Characters: Rayna/Jaime (cold)

“Ishoo! Ishoo!”

“Bless you gorgeous.”

Jaime smiled at Rayna before returning to her paper. Rayna smiled back and passed her best friend a tissue. Jaime sniffled her thanks and blew her pink nose loudly. Rayna sighed. Jaime was obviously sick and feeling miserable but she had a paper due in 2 days. Jaime sniffled again and Rayna kissed her forehead. Rayna and Jaime weren’t together but it was very obvious that both girls liked each other and, when Jaime was sick, Rayna’s cuddle instinct grew a million times.

“Jaime?”

“What?”

“You’re really sick. You should go to sleep.”

“I’m not tired.”

“Jaime, it’s 1 am.”

“Ishoo! Ishoo! I…Ishoo!”

Rayna frowned in sympathy as Jaime let out a wet blow into her tissue in an attempt to clear out her stuffy nose. Finally, Jaime sighed.

“Fine, you’re right. I’m exhausted and I feel like shit. But I have a 15 page paper due and…”

“Jaime, just go to bed.”

Jaime pouted but crawled under her covers, pulling them up over her head. Rayna kissed Jaime’s forehead before getting up and beginning to walk out the door. As she was about to leave, Jaime cleared her throat.

“Rayna? Will you stay?”

“Sure Jaime.”

Rayna crawled into bed next to Jaime and gave her a quick hug. Jaime curled up and began to fall asleep. Rayna’s smile grew even wider as Jaime took hold of her hand. Rayna kissed Jaime’s head again and nuzzled her forehead.

“Sleep well gorgeous.”

“Love you…Ishoo! Ishoo!”

“Love you too sickie.”

Cody kissed Andy’s cheek as his boyfriend let out a small sniffle.

“You okay Andy?”

Andy nodded, turning his head to face Cody.

“Yeah. I just have a little cold babe, nothing to worry about. Achoo! Achoo!”

“Bless you babe.”

Andy smiled at Cody. Cody placed his hand on Andy’s forehead, checking his temperature. Andy laughed.

“I don’t have a fever babe. I don’t feel all that sick, just sneezy.”

Cody nodded and kissed Andy’s neck, hard enough to leave a hickey. Andy moaned and pulled Cody down to straddle his lap.

“I love you Cody.”

Cody pulled away immediately, just as Andy shot forward.

“Achoo! Achoo! ACHOO!”

“Bless you.”

The boys sat in awkward silence for a moment, Cody still straddling Andy’s lap. Finally, Andy sighed.

“Did I say that I love you thing out loud?”

Cody smiled slightly and nodded. Andy dropped his head, embarrassed.

“Achoo! Achoo! Achoo!”

“Bless you baby. And, if it means anything, I love you too.”

Andy looked up at Cody and smiled before catching his lips for a quick kiss. Cody pulled away and kissed Andy’s head before pulling him by the hand and leading him to his bed.

“You’re sneezy and sick. I think the only thing you should be doing right now is curling up in bed and resting, preferably with me there with you.”

Andy nodded and decided to follow his boyfriend’s orders.

Rayna got up off her bed and ran to open her door. Daniel was standing outside, eyes red rimmed and nose pink.

“Dan? You okay?”

“Issht! Issht!”

“Bless you. Come on in! What’s going on?”

“I was in the music room and I was helping to clean up and I got a huge pile of dust accidentally blown in my face. Issht! Isshht! I was…was…was….Issht! Issht! Issht! going to go back to my room and get my allergy meds but Issht! Issht! Issht! Ishoo! ISHOO! Julian isn’t in there and I left my key in the room..Ishht! Issht!”

Rayna laughed but ushered Daniel in and sat him down on her bed.

“Don’t worry sneezy, you can borrow some of my allergy medicine.”

“Thanks…ISHOO! You’re an amazing friend. What would I do without you?”

Rayna smiled and kissed Daniel’s head.

“Honey, without me, you’d have died a long time ago.”

Daniel, through his sneezing and sniffling, managed to yank his shoe off and toss it at Rayna as she went to go find her allergy meds, smiling the whole time.

Daniel looked up at the sound of his sniffling boyfriend entering the room.

“Baby, are you okay?”

Julian sniffled and leaned down on the bed, covering his head with a pillow.

“I feel like absolute crap.”

Daniel sat down on Julian’s bed and rubbed his back. Julian sniffled, still buried under the pillow. Daniel frowned as Julian brought his legs to his chest and curled into the corner, back turned towards Daniel.

“Julian, sweetie, can you look at me?”

“No…Hshoo! Hshoo!”

“Bless you sweetheart. Come on, let me see your beautiful face.”

Julian sniffled but turned around, pulling the pillow up and looking at Daniel. When Julian turned to look at him, it became obvious that he had been crying.

“Oh Julian, baby, talk to me. What’s wrong?”

“Hshoo! Hshoo!”

“Bless you babe.”

“I just feel so sick and miserable. I can’t remember the last time I felt this sick. My head hurts, my nose is stuffed up, my throat hurts and my tummy hurts. I just want it to stop.”

Daniel’s heart melted at Julian’s words but, when Julian started to audibly cry, Daniel lay down next to him, wrapping an arm around him.

“Hey, hey, baby, what can I do?”

Julian sniffled again but rolled over and buried himself in Daniel’s chest. Daniel wrapped his arms around his sick, sobbing boyfriend and kissed his head.

“Baby…”

“Hshoo! Hshoo! H…HSHOO!”

“What can I do sweetheart?”

“Just keep me warm?”

Daniel pulled the comforter up over them and pulled Julian close, nuzzling his neck.

“Anything you need sweetheart.”

Prompt: Body Language (Queen)

Characters: Stephen/Mark (cold)

“Mark, can you pass me the pot stickers?”

Mark sniffled and passed his boyfriend the warm plate. Mark and Stephen were on their dorm room floor, studying for a history test and eating the Chinese food they had ordered. Stephen smiled at Mark and kissed his cheek, prompting Mark to blush. The boys had been dating for almost a year and Mark was still shy around his boyfriend. Many people would be annoyed by Mark’s shyness but Stephen just found it endearing and lovable.

“Mark, I don’t understand any of this chapter. Can you help me out here?”

“Aishoo!”

“Bless you Mark.”

“Thanks.”

Mark sniffled and wiped his nose on his sleeve. When Mark was still sniffling a few minutes later, Stephen glanced at Mark and began to really pay attention to how his boyfriend looked. Mark’s eyes were glassy and his cheeks and nose were tinged pink. He also had a thin layer of sweat coating his body and, when Stephen looked closer, he noticed that Mark would shiver every few minutes.

“Mark, baby, are you sick?”

Mark blushed and turned away, wiping his nose on his sleeve again.

“No, just allergies.”

Stephen rolled his eyes and, while Mark was still looking away, put his wrist against Mark’s forehead.

“Of course. Because allergies always give you fevers.”

Mark blushed an even deeper shade of red and pulled away from Stephen’s touch.

“I didn’t want you to have to worry about me…Aishoo! Aishoo!”

Stephen smiled and scooted closer to his boyfriend, wrapping an arm around him.

“Mark, I want to take care of you. It’s what you do for the people you love. And that goes double if you’re my boyfriend.”

Mark smiled hesitantly at Stephen and, upon receiving a smile in return, dropped his head on Stephen’s shoulder and sniffled. Stephen kissed Mark’s head and hugged him close.

“How about we continue this study session curled up in bed where it’s warm?”

Mark nodded and Stephen motioned for him to get in pajamas and climb into bed as he put the food away. When the food was taken care of, Stephen climbed into bed next to his yawning boyfriend. Stephen smiled.

“On second thought, how about you just go to sleep? The test isn’t for another 2 days. You’ll still have time to study.”

Mark smiled and lay down, pulling Stephen down with him.

“I love you Mark.”

“I love you too…Aishoo! Aishoo! A…Aishoo!”

“Bless you. Try to go to sleep. Hopefully, you’ll feel better in the morning.”

And with that, Stephen felt Mark relax for the first time all day and curl up against Stephen’s chest. Stephen smiled and wrapped his arms protectively around his sweet beautiful boyfriend and rocked him to sleep.

“Aishoo! Aishoo! Aishoo!”

“Bless you babe.”

Mark sniffled and blew his nose. Stephen sat down on the bed next to his sick, sniffly boyfriend. Mark curled up with his head on Stephen’s lap, prompting Stephen to start petting Mark’s hair. Mark felt warm so Stephen lovingly touched his forehead, checking his temperature.

“I think you have a fever angel.”

Mark sniffled and rubbed his nose on Stephen’s thigh. Stephen smiled and pushed Mark up.

“Babe, let me go get the thermometer. I want to take your temperature.”

Mark sat up and let his boyfriend run to the first aid box and grab the thermometer. Stephen returned to the bed and stuck the thermometer in his boyfriend’s mouth before kissing his cheek. Mark’s breath hitched and, no matter how hard he tried to hold back his oncoming sneeze, he couldn’t manage it.

“Aishoo! Aishoo! Aishoo! Aishoo! A…AISHOO!”

Mark blushed a deep shade of red as he spit out the thermometer due to his loud sneezes.

“I’m sorry Stephen.”

Stephen smiled and kissed his boyfriend’s head.

“It’s okay baby. We’ll just do it again.”

Stephen picked up the thermometer and put it back under Mark’s tongue. Mark leaned his head against Stephen’s shoulder. Stephen kissed Mark’s forehead and pushed his hair back. When the thermometer beeped, Stephen checked the dial.

“101.2.”

Mark groaned and burrowed further into Stephen’s neck. Stephen kissed Mark’s warm forehead and pulled him so he was lying down with his back to Stephen’s chest. Stephen began to rub gentle but firm circles into his boyfriend’s back until he felt Mark’s breath even out, signaling he had fallen asleep. Stephen smiled and got up off the bed and went to turn off the overhead light. He then made his way to his desk and turned his small lamp on before sitting in his chair and beginning his homework and, every few minutes, glancing over at his sleeping boyfriend, watching over him.

Jaime smiled as she opened her bedroom door, revealing her best friend Rayna. Rayna smiled at Jaime and kissed her cheek before letting out a small sniffle. Jaime ushered her best friend in and offered her a tissue, knowing she had a cold. Rayna blew her nose and sat down on Jaime’s bed and pinched her nose shut.

“Hichoo! Hichoo!”

“Bless you gorgeous.”

Rayna smiled and patted the bed next to her. Jaime sat down and leaned against Rayna, kissing her cheek lovingly. Rayna, in a moment of bravery, tilted her head and caught Jaime’s lips with hers. The girls shared their first kiss for a moment before Rayna pulled back.

“Hichoo! Hichoo! Hichoo! Hichoo!”

Jaime laughed and dropped her forehead against Rayna’s. Rayna sniffled, embarrassed, but still smiling. Jaime leaned forward and kissed Rayna’s lips again.

“Love you.”

Rayna smiled and nuzzled Jaime’s nose.

“Love you too.”

Cody sniffled and pulled the blanket further around him. He was sick and alone, watching TV in his dorm room at the very end of winter break and Andrew hadn’t gotten back to campus yet.

“Aishoo! Issht! Ishht!”

There was a knock on his door and, suddenly, Cody he couldn’t help smiling.

“Andy?”

“Yeah babe. It’s me.”

“Come in.”

Andrew opened the door and ran to Cody’s bed, pulling him into a huge hug.

“Missed you sweetie.”

“Missed you too…Aishoo! Aishoo!”

Andrew nuzzled Cody’s neck.

“You okay baby? Allergies?”

Cody sniffled miserably.

“No. I have a cold.”

Andrew smiled and pulled Cody to his chest.

“I’m sorry you’re sick baby. Anything I can do?”

Cody sniffled again and let out a small cough.

“I feel funky and gross. I’m all funked up.”

Andrew kissed Cody’s neck.

“I’ll help you feel better babe.”

“Thank you darling.”

Kyle smiled at his gorgeous boyfriend and kissed his cheek. Jesse wrapped an arm around Kyle and nuzzled his neck.

“Bad allergies?”

“Tis the season…Haishoo! Haishoo! HAISHOO! HAISHOO!”

Jesse kissed Kyle’s lips tenderly and pushed his hair back.

“Sorry. Anything you can do to make it better? Did you take your allergy medication?”

Kyle nodded and sniffled wetly.

“Ugh, I fucking hate allergies!”

Jesse smiled and nibbled his boyfriend’s earlobe gently, sending a shiver down Kyle’s spine.

“I love you Kyle baby. I love you so much.”

Kyle smiled and turned his head, wrapping his arms around Jesse’s neck and catching his lips.

“Love you too sweetheart.”
