James Potter's Allergies

James raised his fist high in the air, making most of the crowd beneath him cheer wildly in the stands. The golden snitch feebly fluttered its wings in his hand. It had been a difficult victory because of his HA-ISHHHOO) allergies. He flew down to the ground, where the rest of the team engulfed him. He could feel his nose itching, so he hurried to the locker room. Sirius, Gryffindor's Beater, met him near the showers.

"Good catch, mate." James couldn't reply.

He turned away from Sirius, his breath hitching. ITSCHOO! HETCHOO!

"Bless you. I noticed you sneezing throughout the whole game," said Sirius. James nodded sadly. By the time he had changed and made it back up to the castle, his allergies had gotten worse. Sirius took him up to the common room, where James sat on one of the couches, sneezing and sniffling. He glanced up when Lily walked into the room. James had gotten into a huge fight with Lily the day before, and she was not making eye contact with him.

He was gazing at her longingly, wishing that she would agree to go out with him, when he felt that familiar tickle. "Heh.. HISHUH. AH-I-SHOO."

Lily looked over at him. "Bless you," she said. James turned and looked at Sirius, smiling.

"She talked to me!" Sirius rolled his eyes at his best friend. Neither of them knew the feeling Lily got from James' allergic reaction

I love James <3. So glad someone's doing a fic on him. Interesting changes to the canon, making Sirius a part of Quidditch and making James a seeker rather than chaser.

I write regular (non fetish) hp fics often, and i've always pictured James as a Seeker. It just... Fits his character better. Besides, the books portray him playing with a snitch quite often

That's an interesting perspective on it, I guess. I just... I don't know, Harry and Draco are both seekers, and they don't have the same personality at all. In fact, I wouldn't say there's a personality default for Seekers at all - they just have to move quickly. James had a bigger build than Harry, didn't he? And James plays with the Snitch in the one chapter because he steals it and he's a show off . But I mean, it's fanfiction! One of the beauties of it is that you can change whatever details you like. It wasn't a criticism - I guess I was just wondering about your reasons for it. Awesome to find another regular HP fanfiction writer!

Anyway, I hope you continue this. The Marauders have always been my favorites.
