Cauldwell
Hello from the forum member who, about a month ago, was bemoaning her lack of sneeziness.Well I guess I should have realised the joke would be on me. I'm flying out for a working holiday in 4 days; on long-haul flights that I can't change, and of course I'm now sporting what is turning into an unpleasant cold.It started yesterday night with a scratchy throat and slight chills while I was watching le tour at my mother's house. This morning I was coughing dryly and worrying that I'd perhaps caught the dreaded high-fever flu. I spent most of the day in bed before getting up to drive back home where I slathered my chest in Vick's and treated myself to my fave sickkie meal (Heinz's tomato soup). Despite my malaise I had no intention of missing my homeboy beat the Schlecks In the last few hours I've stared to stifle a few sneezes and my nose is starting to run, requiring quite wet blows. I'm sitting here sipping tea and honey and thinking of how much I need to get done before I go I'll re-post when the sneezing inevitably kicks in Link to comment

EliGirl
Feel better! Why is it that you can never catch a cold when you want to (like before an exam or something) but the second you're on vacation you get the world's worst cold? 'cause it's really annoying sometimes... Link to comment

The last one muffled into the big comfy t-shirt I'm wearing.I tried inducing but my nose just ran Link to comment
Cauldwell
Well the sneezing has arrived.Where my left nostril was burning it's now tickling and running, inevitably setting off a sneeze. Currently I have plenty of warning to grab a tissue and carefully fold it before succumbing to a harsh, wet and loud single HIiiiSHEW!, then followed by an equally wet and gurgly blow. I have stifled a few when I've felt too lazy to get up, but as they're getting wetter I'm starting to carry the box about with me.I guess it would be nice if I was one of those fittish people, but I rather enjoy the relief of a good stout sneeze. Cauldwell
Thanks for the well-wishes guys. It's actually turned into the perfect cold; I'm sneezing every 5 minutes or so, followed by watery blows that soak through tissues, and fortunately only a slight cough. Also I can induce with absolutely no trouble, so it's basically sneezes on tap. Huh-chew!I'm thinking of doing some recording, actually... After 2 years of perfect health it's quite enjoyable, and mild enough that I should be mostly over it by wednesday. Well fingers crossed Link to comment
