EliGirl
Today I took my dog out to run around for a while in a dog park near my house, and there was another (good-looking!) guy there with his dog. He looked about 17 or 18. He was sitting on the bench, red-nosed, sniffling and looking absolutely miserable. We talked for a bit about our dogs and then I ask him why he looks like he's dying. He smiles wryly and says that he just moved here and he thinks he's allergic to some kind of plant here that didn't grow where he came from. We sit there for a while, watching our dogs play. He keeps sniffing. I eventually remember that I have tissues in my purse, so I offer him some. He accepts gratefully.By now you can probably guess that I'm waiting for a sneeze out of him, and eventually my wish is fulfilled.I notice his breathing become more erratic than it already is (he's probably given up breathing normally a long time ago, and is settling for just breathing at all). Suddenly he he bends forward for a forceful sneeze into one of the tissues I gave him. "hah-ch'hoo!" Unfortunately for him, that was his last one, so he catches the next one in the crook of his elbow. "Ha-CHMPH!" He then sneezes another six sneezes with no pause in between them. After that he continues sneezing regularly about once or twice a minute until he gets up to leave. I have to help him catch his dog because he's having a hard time what with the watery eyes and the aforementioned breathing issues. As he leaves he thanks me for the help and the tissues, and I give him the number for our family's allergist (who I like except that after going to see her my brothers sneeze a lot less).I really enjoyed it because he was good looking and he was just so ALLERGIC! *melts* Link to comment
