Local Park Obs (F)

[Sneezles]

I took my children to a local park today for a picnic and took some of their friends along too as it's the School holidays. After we'd eaten our picnic the children all ran off to play in the play area so I gathered our things and made my way down to join them. (Oh and we ate sitting on a grassed area which gave me 4 separate sneezing fits - you'd think i'd have learnt by now )

As the children were all playing together and my youngest was asleep in her pram I settled down on a bench with my sunglasses on (so I could people watch!) and I just enjoyed the sun whilst gazing around.

I was watching a woman in her late 30s (attractive with shoulder length blonde hair, sunglasses holding her hair back, low cut black top on with loose fitting black trousers) playing around with a football with her daughters when the football escaped them and headed for a grassy hill. They all ran for the ball and I was watching them as my children were playing on the hill and I thought I could get my children to get the ball for them if it was needed. One of her daughters ran after the ball and the woman stood fairly near to me on the top of the grassed area. More or less straight away the expression changed on her face from a smile to a glazed expression and she said, "oh god i'm gonna sneeze". Her eyes half closed and her hands went up prayer style in front of her nose as her nostrils flared, she had a sharp intake of breath, cupped her hands over her nose and sneezed a fantastic, very powerful but feminine, loud sneeze HEHHRREESSHHEWW, she bent double as she sneezed. Her hands came down but her face glazed over again as she immediately bent double again with another HHEHHHREESSHHHHEWWW (slightly more violent than the first).

Her daughter started to walk back up with the football and they started walking away from the grass but I continued to watch and as the woman walked past me her hands quickly came up to her nose again and HHEEERRAAASSHHHOOOOO. They stepped back into the area where the football nets are and I heard her say, "I'm gonna sneeze again", she stood with a perfect pre-sneeze expression and then brought her hand up and started to wave it in front of her face (at this point I thought I was going to explode!!!), she hitched audibly and then bent double with two explosive sneezes, HEEHHREESSSHHEWWW, "oh god", HHEEERRAAASSHHHOOOOO. She then started to join in kicking the ball around but her face glazed over again, she waved her hand in front of her nose and she bent double as the itching in her nose just wouldn't stop, HHUUHHHRREESSSHHEWWW.

She was then tackling one of the girls for the football when her face went into pre-sneeze mode and she didn't even stop what she was doing this time as the sneeze built up. She brought her hands up over her nose in prayer style, stopped still and just exploded with the most violent, strong sneeze of them all which had a slight build up before she finally sneezed, HAAHEEHH-HEEHHHHRRAAAASSSHHHHOOOOOOO her body snapped forward as she sneezed.

I had a feeling from watching and hearing that last sneeze that that was going to be the last sneeze in the fit as it was so violent. I couldn't stop watching her after that fit (all from behind my sunglasses ) hoping for more sneezes but sadly no more followed right then. However, I could hear how sniffly she was after those sneezes and a little while later they moved right by me to use a big swing. As they were stood near me I felt my nose tickle like crazy and sneezed 9 times one after another and mid fit I pulled a tissue from my bag to catch my sneezes. She blessed me quite enthusiastically afterwards and said something about hayfever being bad this year, I laughed and agreed with her. I was about to put my bag away again under the pram when the woman said to me, "could I possibly have a couple of your tissues, I feel like i'm going to sneeze myself" (!!!!!!!) I quickly pulled two tissues from my bag and passed them to her as her face glazed over and she held the tissues in front of her face with her eyes squinting and mouth dropped open and with hitching breath said, "HEEHH damn HEEHHHayfever", her body flew forward into the tissues HHEEERREEHHSHHHEWWWWW, HEEHHHRRAASHHHOOOOO, HEEERREESSHHHEWWWWWWW. I blessed her as she blew her nose and she thanked me for the tissues and said she knew she was going to need them. She said to her daughters they were going to have to go as she wanted to get home before she sneezed anymore, she thanked me again and said she hoped I wasn't suffering too much and she left the park.

Suffering?!?!? Well yes my hayfever has been making me sneeze a lot today but she made me suffer in sooo many other ways

Excellent! Great situation, I love that she actually asked you for some tissues BEFORE she sneezed and that you both blessed each other

My dear, this was an amazing incident. (Of course, I don't need to tell you that.) I wish I could have been there with you, too. Between your sneezes and her sneezes, well, I'm not sure I would have survived. But I would have risked it.
