mild sneezeless allergy attack (M)

My family had a very small family reunion like get together, and an older cousin was there who I know had allergies. I could tell they were bothering him. When he got out of the car he was rubbing his nose violently and rapidly from side to side. As the evening went on I noticed his rubbing technique changed and he began to push up on the nose to rub it. I also heard him sniffling and snorting quite a bit outside. They were not wet sniffles but you could hear that his nasal passages were iritated and inflamed and begining to swell. He went inside still rubbing and he was in the house for sometime while I sat on the porch. He came out again later to socialize again and i noticed that the rim of his nostrils had become red, and he was breathing with his mouth open. As he walked around talking to people he continued to push his nose up and rub, and itch it. In many instances he made very pre sneeze looking faces, and i think he may have had a couple false starts but he always started talking before a sneeze could come out and they ended up going away. He looked way to itchy to not be sneezing so Im guessing he probably let off a couple while he was inside.
