Ragweed season is here! (M)

My hubby has had allergies his whole life...seasonal allergies...FOUR seasons of allergies!!!! Needless to say, he sneezes year round. When the alarm rang this morning at the unGodly hour of 5:15am, I slugged it off the nightstand. I rolled over to wake my beloved, and he was in a deep sleep. I nudged him. I massaged his shoulder. I called his name. Finally, I yelled at him to get up. At 5:30am, he dragged his body from the bed. I turned the light on to see his nose was as pink as his eyes. As he rubbed the sleep out of his eyes, the show began. HUHRRRRRSHHHHHHHHH. HUHRRRRRSSSSHHHHHHH. HUHRRRRRSSSSHHHHHHHHH. Big, wet sneezes exploded from his body. He grabbed several tissues and blew his nose...and blew and blew and blew. There was an unlimited supply of congestion coming out. I brought him coffee and asked him how he felt. He mumbled, "I feel do deezy and itchy. Feel like I'b gonna sdeeze again." HURRRSHHHHHHHH. HUHRRRSSSSSHHH! HUH HUH HUH...HUUUU.... and it was stuck. He took his index finger and massaged his large, pink nostrils and you could visibly see him shudder. The loudest volley of over a dozen sneezes exploded from him. He sat back in bed and I got him more tissues. He filled seven tissues! On his eighth tissue, mid blow, he sneezes! HUH ISSSHHHOOOOOOOOO. HUH ISHHHHHHHHOOOOOOO. HUHRRRRSHOOOOOOO. HUHRRRRSHHHHOOOOOOO. "Oh by God. I can't sdob sdeezing." He looked so pathetic. Poor guy. We turn on the tv for the news and there's the weather man saying that ragweed season has begun. I look at the hubby and he says, "No kidding. HURRRRRRSHOOOOOOOOOOO."

There was torrential rain yesterday, so hubby felt some relief. Today, however, was another story.

Hubby has gone through five boxes of unscented kleenex tissues since the first observation. He is either sneezing, getting ready to sneeze, or just finishing up a sneezing fit. Poor guy is absolutely miserable. His nose is chapped and red. Just touching his finger or a tissue to his poor, tickly nose right now is enough to set him off on an endless sneeze fit. I decided to give him a hanky and see if that made him feel any better. Just watching him gear up with enormous hitching breaths and catching his sneezes in the hanky was almost more than I could take. (no, he STILL has no idea about my fetish).

He called me from work today and the second he said hello I knew he'd been sneezing a lot. I asked him how he was feeling and he said, "Oh babe...I'b so sdeezy. I just can't sdop sdeezing!" and with that he stifled a dozen sneezes in a row, all rapid fire up to the end. "CHT, CHT, CHT, CHT, CHT, CHT, CHT, CHT, CHT,CHT, CHT, CHT." Then it got bad. I said, "Hon, stifling only makes you have to sneeze worse..." HURRRRRRRRASSSSCHHHHOOOOOOOOO. RASSHHHHHHOOOOOOOO. RASSSSSSSSSSSSSHHHHHHHH. RASSSSCHHHHHOOOOOOOOOO!
