As sneezing is rare for me, thought I'd type this up though I'm sure it's a rather unremarkable occurrence for all of you major sneezers out there...

So I was in choir rehearsal tonight (we're preparing Dvorak's Stabat Mater for a concert in October), and freaking out because my mezzo-soprano self finally moved on over to the alto section where she belongs after ten years of singing soprano exclusively. Suddenly, about halfway through rehearsal, I felt a tickle building in my nose. I stopped and waited, enjoying the feel of the building sneeze. Maybe two or three seconds passed, though it felt longer to me. Then, abruptly, my head snapped forward and I bent full-over at the waist with a powerful, tickly tchIEW!

It was just the one, but it was extremely satisfying and left me a little weak at the knees from the force of it. My nose, as usual, was desperately tickly in the aftermath, but I knew from long years of experience that that was the end of it, so I settled for rubbing the irritation away over the next several minutes.
