BelieveInRollins
If you have told anyone about your fetish, who did you tell (a friend, family member, internet friend, etc), how did you tell them? And why did you feel the need to tell them? And when you did tell them, how did they react?I been thinking very heavily about telling one of my best friends and our online friend about my fetish...im not sure why i just really trust this friend and our online friend is all the way in the UK. She already thinks im weird so why not add to it lol I don't know...I just know if i do ever tell them it's just going to be like leads like a subject about being sick or allergies will come up i don't know how it would but yeah im just afraid..lol Link to comment
Skiffy
I told my best friend. We've known each other for years and I talk to her about everything, so it felt really strange and unnatural for me to keep this from her. She was really lovely about it, didn't think it was a big deal. Apart from the day I told her, it hasn't come up again. There have been a few awkward moments for me, but everything is fine. I have also told one other person, an ex-boyfriend. We're pretty good friends. We just tend to get drunk together and joke about filthy things. He already knew I had a fetish but I didn't want to tell him any specifics. One drunken night, I let it slip and I wish I hadn't. He doesn't think any less of me but he jokes about it sometimes. I'm not sure if he really appreciates how mortified I would be if he ever tells any mutual friends about it. So, my advice: only tell someone you really trust, not a flirty ex-boyfriend with a nice bottle of honey mead. Link to comment

I definatly know not to tell anyone i don't trust..bad things will happen to good people >_> Link to comment
retrofan191
I have one friend IRL who knows. He mentioned having a fetish so it was an "ill tell if you tell" kinda thing. Link to comment
Sawyer
I've only told my boyfriend. I trust him immensely, and I love both him and his sneezes... and it's lead to some nice sneezy discussions which I wouldn't have had otherwise, and a closer bond that comes from him knowing my deepest secret (one that, before meeting him, I had planned to keep a secret from everyone forever). Stimuli
I've told my best female friend about it, the situation I brought it up was this; She told me about her fetish and asked if I had any kind of fetish she took it very well, we've joked around with it a little Link to comment
smooshi
I've told my best friend, not because I planed it. She is a tiny litlle stubborn and we were talking about YouTube and somehow we came to to that topic... I said one wrong word and she forced me to say everything! I wasn't sorry, she actually found that sweet. She is honest to me, so, why not? Link to comment
retrofan191
I've told LOTS of people by now.... The first time I told anyone WAS really really hard though. I didn't even admit it to myself until I found this forum. I told my sister, her girlfriend at the time, our two mutual friends during a conversation about sexual fetishes over lunch. The reaction I got from everyone except my sister was 'OMG really??' but my sister's reaction was more like 'oooohhhhh. THAT makes sense.' I later told my little bro and he was like 'well that makes sense' too. Of COURSE my sister and brother tease me about it, but they're also very curious about it and my sister draws me fetish-y things from time to time . Since then, I've told many friends, Some friends, after I told them, have reported to me not being able to sneeze around me anymore, like a mental block of sorts. Ugghhh... this makes me feel kinda bad, but this seems to go away. So yeah... I'd be careful about how close you are to the person you tell? I've told my current boyfriend, who at first was like 'sneezing...? for serious?' but was soon like 'oh, well I love sneezing! it makes my body feel awesome! I can see why you like it!'. I was like... erm, no I don't think you're QUITE getting what I mean, but hey... you like to sneeze . He's pretty interested in it though, I think he's beginning to understand exactly what's going on and we've done some...experimenting. So yeah, I'm glad I told him, but its always sorta scary telling a S.O...I've recently told my mother, who proceeded to tell me a long list of things I used to do when I was a kid that showed I liked sneezes. It was rather embarrassing, but she quickly forgot . I think it made her feel closer to me though...? Dunno.I've come to terms with the fact I'm weird and that most people won't really understand what I mean by 'sneeze fetish'. I've also embraced the fact I love sneezes and germs and irritations of the nose and desperation and vulnerability etc. I'm not ashamed anymore and it feels great Wow, that's actually... pretty inspiring. RoseFever
All of my friends know, I'm very open about it (I just wont ever tell my parents > . <)They reacted very well. But then again, we're all very weird in my little group. One of my friend often indulges me with her character making mine sneeze <3 Little labors of love I suppose. Link to comment
sarahsneees
Just my husband (and that took 5 years of marriage) his reaction apart from the nervous laughter and surprise has been favourable I really can't imagine ever being close enough to anyone else to tell them, but I have huge trust issues Link to comment
TheCakeIsAlive
My partner, because I didn't want to have secrets from him. He reacted sort of "ah, okay..." and for years never really mentioned it. More recent has come some teasing about it but good-humoured. A friend, because we always used to exchange everything we wrote and well... I only had sneezefic to show one time. I showed her the forum and she reacted like "ah, okay... and exactly what's the big deal?" and then I let her read some of the fics I had written and she liked them. So also a positive reaction. Apart from that I haven't told anybody because.... frankly it's none of their business. Link to comment
nolongeractive
I told my sister and three close online friends. I've never said it in person, I actually waited til my sister left for college before typing it over Skype. xD One of them I had to tell because I accidentally wrote something fetish-related in the chat instead of a different one. THAT was dumb, I'm a lot more careful about that now. It kind of sucked to have to tell them, but at least they took it well. xD; Link to comment
LovelyLinda
I told only one person in my whole life.I sent him a story I've written (with sneezes involved o.o) and didn't think too much about it because I didn't even knowthat having a fetish was weird at that time. And while I was all "Aww, it's soooo cute how they're sneezy and cuddly and..."And he was like, "Uh? Where's the plot? They're not doing anything else but...sneezing."And then I felt like I had to confess.I was SO terrible nervous that I was shivering, stuttering and blushing even though I told him on the phone. He was kind of relieved when I told him and said it was kinda cute It made me feel A LOT better because I didn't think anymore that having the fetish would be something bad.Now he kinda shows interest in it, I almost think I have turned him into one of us x)It's hilarious. We're kinda close though, so I'd only recommend telling someone if you are sure that he won't give your secret away.It can be a lot of fun, he's always teasing me now."Uhh, I've been vacuuming my room. It was soooo dusty..." Link to comment
