RoseFever
(On a quick note: I sneezed while writing this, I just love when that happens )So; I know we've had posts before on how most people have had the fetish since they were very young. But what did you do to get that 'funny' feeling most of the times? Did you already know what a .wav was? Did you not do anything? What? These are some of mine:-I use to look up words in the dictionary like 'sneeze' and 'cold' and other things pertaining to that in the dictionary that when no one was around.-I also went on youtube and watched the opening to Ozzy & Drix (I think I spelled it right) Over and over simply because a guy sneezes in it-On the other hand, when I was watching it with my family, I would IMMEDIATLY run into the bathroom or just far away. I dunno why I just felt awkward. xD-I would always dream of Ash and the others from pokemon catching a cold from the pokemon 'Sneasel' because apparently it was like a cold transmited by said pokemon or something, I dunno, strange kid logic dosen't have to make sense.-When I was REALLY young, I had an elephant toy, and during nap time, I would always hide under my covers and jolt its head, making it look like it was sneezing. You guys do anything strange like that? Galaxy
-I use to look up words in the dictionary like 'sneeze' and 'cold' and other things pertaining to that in the dictionary that when no one was around.This. And I still do to this day. Also, looking up "allergy" and "sneeze worth" are fun, though the latter is probably only found in larger dictionaries.Hmm, I would always ask my guy friends to play the Allergies Game with me. Whenever my girl friends wanted to play, I'd be like "NOOOOO!" That's all I can really think of. Great topic! Link to comment

retrofan191
Wow, you sound allot like young me. also when I was young I thought I was the only one this funny feeling happened too and that there was something wrong with me. wow, I was naive XD Link to comment
RoseFever
Galaxy: xDDDD THAT IS SMARTI remember once, when we were playing truth or dare at school, I told one of them to induce a sneeze, claiming 'Oh yeah, its fun, one of my friends told me how -explains how to induce'Such a liar I was Anything for sneezes I suppose, and they never suspected anything xD. And what does 'sneeze worth' mean : OReterofan, I dont ever really think I figured out it was sneezing that made me feel this way until I found the site and I classify it as a 'sneezing fetish'. When I was a kid, that funny feeling was euphoric to me though, it was lovely. So all I knew was when I watched someone sneeze that = good, that was like my law. And plus, I also liked the build ups and facial expressions that led up to it, so I guess I just never figured out it could be all classifyed into 'Sneezing'. Ohohoh, the things I would immagine that were ever so simple that pleasured me so. Like drawing a red dot on a picture of someone's nose. ; ; I have to try so much harder now sometimes. sneezeadorer
So many strange things!:* in Alice in Wonderland when Alice sneezes, if I was watching with anyone else, I would have to run out of the room for 20 minutes just to be sure it was over!* I'd watch the ending cartoons of Dumbo (the ones with loads of sneezing) over and over again.* When playing pretend with my friends, the toys would always be sick / hurt* I'd play princesses and princes by myself, and yup, you guessed it the prince would always be sick.* This one is actually very embarassing: once when my ballet teacher sneezed really loudly in class, I burst into tears!!! NameTaken
Oh dear. Well, about a year ago, I found a massive stack (I mean hundreds) of old pictures I drew when I was about 3 to 7 years old. Which my parents had organised for me at some point and put in a box. There were SO MANY drawings and little stories of people catching colds and sneezing all theatrically (you know, writing sneezes so big, with millions of letters so that they pretty much stretch off the page). I kind of regret it now (because hey, that was a bit of my childhood) but I threw away all fetish evidence. I also used to rewind all my disney videos with sneezing and run out the room when anyone else was there. Oh! And I tried to get my friends to play games where at least one of our stuffed animals was sick. God. Link to comment
polychrome
At least once I pretended to be a vet and wrote an illegible (because I was 4) prescription for my stuffed polar bear and his cold. Link to comment
kate
So many of the things already described...-Playing make believe games, where someone had a cold/allergies.-Looking up words like "sneeze", "cold", "hayfever" etc in the dictionary.-Re-reading books over and over if a character was sneezing in it. The top 2 being "The Behrenstein bears go to the doctor", and "Karen's school trip" from the babysitters club series (Karen gets the flu) are particular favourites. In fact...I couldn't bear to part with either book when I purged the rest of my childhood books recently...and will try to make out that they were just strays left behind by accident if anyone ever asks why I still have them lying around -Eventually making the jump from simply reading books that already had sneezing in them, to re-writing stories to make them more...well, fetishy. I remember one particular occasion, my friend and I were taking turns reading out chapters of a book, which we were recording to make an audio book on tape (yep, nerd alert). He just read out his chapters normally. Then, it would be my turn to read out a chapter, and suddenly my characters were sneezing up a storm...I remember silently praying he wouldn't read over my chapters and catch out what I'd been doing as I'd have no way of explaining myself, but I was in one of those "moods" where the risk was outweighed by the benefits, y'know? -Total love/hate relationship with movies or tv shows where a character is sneezing. Unlike books which could be enjoyed in private, having a shared attention on a tv show/movie felt totally humiliating, for reasons I (at the time) couldn't put my finger on. Especially if there were other adults in the room, and ESPECIALLY if they were adults in my own family. If I knew a character sneezed in a scene that was coming up, I would be sure not to be in the room if someone else was there at the same time. I remember once, an episode of "Teenage mutant ninja turtles" started with all 4 turtles having the flu, and there was a bit of sneezing along with general "sick talk". I had extended family visiting, and so there were about 5 family members sitting around the living room watching... I was so embarassed I crawled underneath the coffee table.-Always trying to hide it from my parents whenever I had a cold. It always seemed really, really embarrassing to me.-Trying to make myself sneeze by sniffing salt...I had just watched a cartoon where a character had sneezed from sniffing pepper, and being young enough that this idea seemed like a totally novel concept, I managed to get the 2 confused. It was fairly uncomfortable, and I wound up confessing what I'd done to my mum because I was worried about what might happen...who knows what she must have thought! Just as an aside, someone that struck me as I was writing all this is how nice it is to have such vivid memories of certain books/films/television shows/days at school/conversations with friends, etc, because there was some connection to sneezing (albeit, that's a weird/embarassing reason). I'll never forget that famous scene in Alice in Wonderland...the teacher who told us not to bring her flowers because she had hayfever...the episode of Mickey Mouse where the elephant starts sneezing from red pepper and blows the house down...the double page spread in the Behrenstein Bears book dedicated to a picture of Papa Bear sneezing...the wattle tree out the front of my house that I used to make friends walk past in the hope it might set off someone sneezing...and so many other things that are too embarassing to share, even here. You know, kids try so many weird stuff (my sister put the stone from a cherry up her nose and had to go to the hospital to get it out), and trying to sniff pepper; well, it's done in so many cartoons, how many kids just HAVE to try things they see on TV? Oh god that's awful looking back...I feel as though I wrote this ... ha ha! I did every single one of these things (except the last one). There is also a scene in the Lion King where baby Simba sneezes that I would play over and over too.I didn't find the forum until I was older (about 21 or so) so I had to find ways to "explore" the fetish before I even knew it was a fetish. A couple of things I did (all very embarrassing) ...~I read Moby Dick in high school and there is a chapter where a whale bone carver has a sneezing fit from the bone dust. I book marked that chapter and woud read it frequently.~I used to record my own sneezes experimenting with different sneeze styles on a tape recorder so I could play them back imagining they were somone else (again, this was before I found wavs. I don't EVER listen to my own wavs anymore. Too embarrassing)~When I heard a sneeze I liked I would write down how I would spell it so I wouldn't forget and could replay it over and over in my mind. Most of these things I did from the age of 16-21 so I guess I wasn't a "little" kid, but still they were weird quirks from before I found the forum. mrs_pheles
Iv'e done most of the stuff discussed here aready!-I also loved to read "Karen's School Trip" as a child.-About four years ago I convinced my friend to play a game with me where both of us were sick and sneezing. Looking back on it, I can't believe I actually did that who knows what she must have thought. -I also get really embarrassed when Im watching a tv show with sneezing in it around family members and Ill leave the room until the sneezing part is over. I did it when I was watching FMA with my brother (I had already watched it) And went in the kitchen the part with Ed sneezing came up.-And I used to look up sneeze related terms in the dictionary. It's nice to know there are other people who went through the same thing Link to comment
stevie_sloth
Oh WOW, I'd forgotten about a lot of the stuff I did as a kid until now. It is SO nice to read others' childhood experiences and memories and have them be so, so similar to my own.- Again, I used to look up "sneeze", "cold", "hay fever", "allergies", "nose", etc terms in the dictionary. I remember a few nights one particular Summer. I was so young I was in bed before it was dark outside...and I was reading the dictionary under the covers in bed.- Often when I was home sick from school, I'd stay at my grandparents' house during the day while my parents were at work. In the spare room where I was in bed, there was a medical encyclopaedia. I would read this every time, just to read about colds and nose issues and respiratory illnesses. I never got bored of this.- A few times I would try and tickle my cat's nose to make him sneeze. I remember breaking off the end of a plastic plant (one of the small, slightly pointy leaves) and trying to put a tiny bit of it up his nose...my poor cat. It never worked. lol.- APPARENTLY (though I honestly don't remember this), I used to go around the school yard asking my friends to pretend to sneeze. A friend I hardly see anymore mentioned this a few years ago, and I was like NO I DIDN'T! I NEVER DID THAT! lol. I honestly didn't remember, and still don't, but how embarrassing to me now to know I did that.- I once asked 4 friends (not the one mentioned above) to fill in this table I'd made (nerd alert here too) that listed 5 of my favourite celebrities across the top, and then had the words "burp", "cough", "cry", "sneeze" and "hiccup" down the side. I put "sneeze" down the list so it wouldn't seem too obvious. I asked them to fill in whether they'd ever seen any of those celebrities do any of those actions. Oh my god. lol. That wasn't very satisfactory...I think someone said they'd seen one of them sneeze but I'm not sure if that was true, and someone else had seen one of them burp...but I had no interest in THAT of course.- I used to go into supermarkets and toy stores and sort of loiter in a deserted aisle, kneel down low, stick the end of one of my shoelaces (attached to my shoes that I was wearing) up my nose and make myself sneeze. It made me feel...good...to know someone would hear me but not see me.- I used to sometimes induce privately at home, in the rare instances that nobody was home...I would get SO...well, turned on is the word I NOW use cause I know what the fetish is, but back then I just knew it felt amazing.- I would LIVE for the times on Sesame Street when they'd show the segment with Count von Count sneezing 7 times after counting and sniffing 7 flowers.- In the Alice in Wonderland movie (not the cartoon, the Disney one), I'd rewind repeatedly the part where Alice sneezed...(I think there were even 2 times she sneezed, and I rewound both of them. I think there were 2 times...maybe)...but this was only if I was alone in the room and was comfortable that nobody would notice. If someone else was watching, I didn't have to leave the room when the sneezes happened, but I'd talk over it loudly so nobody would notice the sneezes and if they did, nobody would notice I was particularly interested in them.- I wrote stories about sneezing...many of them. Short stories with characters from real life or existing stories / books I had...- Sometimes in bed I would fake sneeze...I remember doing this a few times...kind of throwing my head forward...actually, one time I made this tall tower of pillows on top of my bed, sat on top of them, and then fake sneezed several times...I ended up falling off the tower and onto the floor. My parents came in and wondered what I'd been doing. How embarrassing. I remember wondering if they'd heard the sneezes. They weren't very loud and sounded VERY fake.Childhood is embarrassing. lol Link to comment
Galaxy
And what does 'sneeze worth' mean : OSorry! I misspelled it, it's actually sneezewort, no h at the end. But here's the glorious definition:sneeze·wortnoun /ˈsnēzwərt/  /-wôrt/sneezeworts, plural 1. A Eurasian yarrow, naturalized in North America, whose dried leaves induce sneezing I wonder where I could buy these...? Link to comment
RoseFever
*gasp* @ sneezeadorer, No, I had a simmilar occurance back in Preschool. We were reading books on health and the body. With things like how to prevent catching colds, and how cutting your hair dosent hurt and little things like that. Just like a little cute kid book, right?I RAN OUT OF THE ROOM INTO THE STREET CRYING once they mentioned sneezing xDDDDD;;; Oh my god I was like scared or something. Little kid fetishests can be so weird. I never told why though. But I do remember during naptime, I would take said book and look at the pictures of the people sneezing once everyone else was asleep.I also think I know how I developed the fetish, now that I started thinking about itI would sit in my older sister's lap and when I wanted to go away to do soemthing else, she would threaten me (I know; great sister, right? ) But I distinctly remember once she said 'Don't move or I will sneeze on you' and I was PETRIFIED. My mom would also hold up a fake flower, and when I brought it to her nose, she would fake sneeze. Maybe once during one of those I 'associated' sneezing and that good feeling. Makes me wonder if my parents already know I have the fetish > >...@Galaxy. If you find any, send some to me, k bro? xD Infact I bet everyone on the fourms would be interested in some of that. Sneesee
My list is gonna be long! I am also one of the "fossils" around here, so when I speak of things I did as a child, it was before the Internet, Tivo, and DVR. ~I used to always make my barbies, and any other toy I was playing with sick somehow. Always. Ken always had a cold, Barbie was always taking care of him. I had a ton of Breyer horses, and all of them were constantly sick, and always sneezing.~I would video tape episodes of shows I loved with sneezing in them. MacGyver, The Monkees (huge Peter Tork fan, had every episode he ever sneezed in on VHS at one point), you name it, I had it somewhere on video so I could rewind it and play it again.~My favorite book as a child? "Stand Back!" Said the Elephant. "I'm Going To Sneeze!" In fact, I still have that book.~I would watch whichever show had sneezing in it that I wanted to, and then disappear to my room for hours to b alone.~I created an amazing mental block, to where I hardly ever sneeze in front of other people. I was afraid that when I was younger, people would figure out how I felt about sneezing if I sneezed in front of them. ~I used to write down in a spiral how many times whichever guy I liked would sneeze in front of me. I had tally/hash marks for each guy I liked.~I used to, and still do, write some sort of sneeze into every story/manuscript I write.~When I finally did have internet, I didn't even dare put the word "sneeze" into any kind of search engine, for fear of being found out. It wasn't until I finally found this place, and came to terms with this fetish, that I was okay with doing so. Link to comment
BelieveInRollins
Ever since i discovered that me liking sneezing was a fetish i have always looked back at my childhood and was like "So THAT'S why i reacted that way" kind of memories.-As a kid when i still played with toys, I would make my toys get colds and spread it to the other toys lol-I also remember either changing the channel, walking away or just distracting my parents with whatever if we were watching something that i knew a sneeze was going to happen. ( i still do that and im 19 xD)-Ever since i could remember, i always felt awkward watching someone sneeze. (just hearing it works for me) but also getting EXTREMELY unconfortable when someone said "I have to sneeze"-It would also explain why i never like to say "bless you" (it also gets on my nerves when someone like forces you to say bless you to them...)-This would explain why one of my many favorite pokemon is sneasel ( i have a plush of sneasel in my room xD)-I remember once in 6th grade, i wished that i had allergies for a day so i could sneeze all day. lolMy whole childhood just makes sense now because of the fetish xD Link to comment
iheartsneezn
Yeah I did the looking up stuff in the dictionary which is kinda hilarious when you think about it. I also watched every animated movie with sneezing in it that i could find and rewound the sneezing scenes and watched them in slow mo, which yes is possible to do on a VCR if you just press pause continuously LOL. I also went crazy when ever a cartoon came on which involved sneezing or snot or something so you can imagine how much i loved ren and stimpy and similar shows, and ofcourse my favorite character from the kids next door was the common cold ofcourse. I also remember begging my mom for a toy called gooie louie, its a game where you basically pull rubber boogers out of the toys nose until he sneezes and then his head pops off basically.LOL Link to comment
