Handkerchief obsession?

If you have a handkerchief fetish, were you obsessed by handkerchiefs even when growing up? In what way? For example, watching people using them, rereading book passages where people used them, etc. There is a similar thread like this in the sneezing section right now.

This is interesting, now that I think about it, I pretty much was obsessed with handkerchiefs even when I was too young to realize it! I think I was about 10 years old when I would pack a hanky or 2 for a long car ride. We had a van with 3 rows, and I would sit in the way back row and duck down behind the seat to secretly wipe my nose if it was dripping! Also, I have always enjoyed watching people use handkerchiefs. Now that you mentioned it, I do like reading book passages that mention handkerchiefs! Haha! There was one kid's book I remember where the character blew their nose on a purple silk handkerchief... I read the sentence over and over!

Yes it is going back as far as I can remember. Having them with me, but also reading passages in books, rereading comics again and again, and watching people using them.

It is very related to my liking for sneezing and nose blowing.

My hankie obsession goes back to childhood as well. The first hankie I ever owned was a white hankie my parents bought to go in the breast pocket of my First Communion suit. After the event, I held on to that hankie and took it with me everywhere, although I was reluctant to actually use it because I didn't know how to wash it (I was only 7 or 8 years old at the time). A few years later I started taking hankies from my father's dresser, using them when I was away from home, and then discreetly placing them in the laundry. I bought my own set of hankie's when I went to college, and have been using them ever since.

I was also fascinated by hankie users. I've already mentioned my father, but my grandparents, male teachers, and even some of the nuns in elementary school used hankies, and I would love to watch them sneeze or blow their nose. The nuns in particular fascinated me, because they used large, white, mens' hankies.

I still use hankies today, and have a large dresser draw filled with them. I still buy more, however, because I find them irresistible. I get a thrill out of selecting a packet of hankies and taking them to the sales clerk. For this reason, I never buy hankies on-line, because that ruins part of the fun!

I can remember once one of my sisters freinds ( i had a crush on) came around and left a patterned pink and white hankie behind, i picked it up and could smell her on it!

I kept it for a long time, wish i had it now!

yes, anything to do with hankies and seeeing girls at school with them when younger I had a fascination for.

i think i became obsessed with hankies because both parents use them, and after being at primary school a while i thought tissues were much less yuck, but for a long time my parents wouldnt buy me them because they thought it was a waste of money so i stole handkerchiefs from my dads drawer whenever i got sick
