hankyhonk
Hi allThis is very boring I know but I tried an experiment this week.I decided to give up using hankies for a week and switch to tissues to see if I preferred it. I use tissues at home sometimes and bought pocket pack tissues for when I'm out and about.I like the fact that you can chuck a tissue away if you've had a wet blow. The thing is though I still prefer hankies, there's something comforting about them somehow and if you just want a quick blow for a slight irritation it seems a waste to use a fresh tissues but using one you've used before seems nasty (ironic I know coming from someone who uses a hanky all day).Anyway that's my experiment over, back to hankies.I always use tissues if I've got bad hayfever or cold though.Anyone else changed from one to the other recently?Enough ramblingSorry for boring you all!HH Link to comment

Kleeny
I am glad you tried your experiment, and that you decided to keep with the hankies. I carry both when outside. A handkerchief in my trouser pocket and a packet of tissues in my coat or rucksack, for the heavier blows, or to offer to cute snotty guys. Link to comment
cjblo
Hi HH,Well, not very surprising. We're not very rational about this exact subject, so it is unlikely that any rationally motivated change would have the desired effect. A bit like trying a shoe fetish for a week, or trying to be straight .Anyhoo, happy you found yourself again. Be proud!!CJ. Link to comment
