rhombohedron Posted July 13, 2012 Posted July 13, 2012 I was out for drinks last night at an outdoor bar. The wind direction changed and I instantly became extremely itchy and congested. I rarely rub my nose, pre-sneeze face, or sniffle in public (weird version of the mental block) but last night I may have let a couple thick sniffles out. Still, it was a busy enough night at the bar that I thought even my SO wouldn't notice. He didn't, but the barman apparently did. I turned away from the bar with steeped hands covering a sudden, wet "huh-ISSSSHiuhhh..." and a few building gasps of the stuck second half of the double. My SO has noticed that I redden when he blesses me in public--unfortunately he hasn't realized that it's a good thing, not embarrassment--so he generally places his hand on the small of my back when I sneeze. I sniffled wetly and smiled at him, only to wrestle with the stuck sneeze one last time, just enough to make my eyes water a bit and my breath hitch once into the back of my hand. At this point, the bartender had been standing in front of me for a little bit of time, and he breathed a beautifully private "bless you". He turned to the other side of the bar and I thought that was that, only for him to turn back with a large wad of napkins in one hand for me. Mmmm, how sweet. Has anyone else experienced caretaking from a complete stranger? I'm not going to lie, in hindsight I enjoyed it much more than I ever might have expected.
smooshi Posted July 13, 2012 Posted July 13, 2012 Although I hate sneezing in public this seems very attractive.
elements Posted July 13, 2012 Posted July 13, 2012 yesss....if the person is someone I find attractive, I like it. If it is like...a mother figure...not so much. But this sounds hottt!
