People making comments about you using handkerchiefs

Over the years of carrying hankies, I have only had a few people comment either on the practice itself, or the type of hankie I was using.

I've had a couple of people complimenting me on the pattern/colour of my hankie, or one person said my hankie looked like a tea-towel.

I've had one or two comments about the fact that I shouldn't be using them and tissues are better.

Anyone else get comments, and what is your response?

occasionally when i use them around my girlfriend, she says that i should use a tissue instead (only with a cold), but when im not sick she doesnt care

I have had a few people make fun of me! However I'm not bothered because I love using them, do what ever they say I'm not bothered hanky user and proud

Only three people have ever commented. One of them actually uses them herself (Because of me) & she says that it makes us look very mature. My other 2 friends simply say that it's vintage & kinda cool. I've never really heard anything negative. With the exception of someone calling it a Snot Rag, but that was a joke.

They've seen me use a handkerchief plenty of times, I'm sure if they wanted to, they would've by now.
