My "Sneeze Spot"

Grr, this will be the 2nd time I'm writing this, as my browser decided it was going to close unexpectedly right as I was finishing my story. (Impatience setting in :-)

Ok, so over time, I've noticed that I have a "Sneeze Spot." I'm not talking about a certain place in my nose or anything like that. I'm talking about a geographic location that every time I drive thru/past here, I get bombarded by the sudden onslaught of 3 or more powerful sneezes. Now, I have never been terribly successful at holding back my sneezes, but with these there is NO CHANCE!! I'm done. Game over- I lose. What makes this worse is that not only do I make this particular drive several times a week, but that there is a lot of slow oncoming traffic not to mention lots of pedestrians. I can't take my eyes off the road for a second. Usually I'm pretty decent at not calling too much attention to myself when I sneeze other than the blesses. In this scenario I do not posess that ability. So in this little mile long stretch, people have seen me make some of my stupidest and most desperate looking sneezes not 10 feet away from them. I even get the occasional sneeze that ain't so dry and leaves some "evidence" behind. This is all pretty damn embarrassing but I figured the people on the forum would get a kick out of reading this, as I would probably think it was funny if it wasnt happening to me.

OMG!!! I had a sneeze spot too! (In fact, there is an obs burried somewhere deep in the archieves about it) When I was working in Maryland I had a spot, also on my way to work, that everytime I drove through it I sneezed a triple. Triples are rare for me, unless I'm suffering from allergies, which is how it was first noticeable. It lasted for a few months, but was fun while it lasted!

That is so crazy that you are experiencing it too! I wonder what it could be?

I wonder if it becomes a psychological issue. You sneeze in the same place a couple of times, and then when you approach the same place a 3rd time, you sneeze because you are expecting to sneeze.

I don't know, just an idle thought.

Ha! I'm glad I'm not the only one who's experienced this, but it's only happened to me a few times in the same place.

I love the idea of people watching it happen. Embarrassing for you though.

Could be, but in this case, it was the complete opposite. Maybe I had performance anxiety?

Not a particular spot for me, but eveytime i seem to approach a busy round -about in my car i sneeze! Is that simular? lol
