Salon Sneezes

I almost didn’t post this because I feel like all my observations are self obs and I hate to come across like I’m shoving them down your throat, lol, but I decided it was kind of cute … so here it is:

Yesterday I went to the hair salon for a new do. While the stylist was cutting my hair I felt a tickle developing inside my nose. I pinched my nose and rubbed it gently, trying to shoo the urge to sneeze away. I definitely did not want to interrupt her cutting, as that could have had many ill effects for my hair. The tickle, however, had other plans and continued to build.

When I couldn't take it anymore I told her to stop cutting. She seemed very confused. The style I was getting was drastically different than what I had previously, so she had a clear look of concern on her face. My mouth dropped open and my eyes fluttered. The tickle was deep, but not coming! I waved my hand a few times in front of my face to coax it out, and finally I sneezed a single, "Heh eshieeew!!!" My stylist immediately started laughing and replied, "Bless you!" through laughter. I told her I didn't want to sneeze while she was cutting my hair. She said she was so relieved because she had thought I was freaking out about the style she was giving me.

I sneezed once more while paying. As I was pulling out my credit card I knew a sneeze was coming. As I was handing the girl my credit card, I lifted up my opposite elbow to my mouth/nose and waited with closed eyes and hitching breath. When the sneeze finally came I turned slightly further away from the register, sneezed into my elbow, sniffed and apologized. My stylist blessed me and said, "My, my, you're a sneezy gal today!" Fully embarrassed, I thanked her, blushed, signed and put my credit card away.

PS – My evening last night was spent with my bestie … and her cat! Even though she puts the cat away and cleans up before I come over I am always a mess when I am there. She is always so apologetic, but the night generally consists of series of sneezes and countless false starts. No specific obs to share … just generally sneeziness, although I guess it could be said that one lucky member of the forum was fortunate enough to witness these cat effects after I left my friend's house. Several sneezes and false starts made that conversation an interesting one ...

Aww that's completely adorable Lalena!

I loved how first you pinched your nose to STOP sneezing but later you had to wave your hand in front of your face to HELP sneezing. So cute!
