AmeliePoulain
This was in the "Modern Love" section of the New York Times recently. I thought it was very well done, and very relevant to a lot of us. Not sneezing, but it's interesting to note the similarities in experiences (e.g. looking things up in the dictionary, lol). Yay for this kind of thing being accepted in popular media!http://www.nytimes.com/2012/11/11/fashion/modern-love-a-spanking-fetish-is-not-revealed-easily.html?pagewanted=all Link to comment

MyOwnPrivateSFC
That's fantastic. Good for her (to write it, I mean) and fascinating and relatable to me. Link to comment
RoseFever
Oh my god that was soooo cute ;-;. Link to comment
NameTaken
Makes me want to cry. I so wish I could be that brave. Even though I feel like I can relate to what she's saying- literally could have been written by one of us- I still feel like coming out about a sneezing fetish seems even more inexplicable than spanking.Ah well. Thanks so much for posting, this was adorable Link to comment
Bruyere
Definitely relate to what she wrote, especially about ti being both sexual and asexual. Great article, thanks for linking to it! Link to comment
Always
Brilliant article! Someday if I'm lucky, I hope I can be as brave as her. Link to comment
Bluebird
I wish I could be as brave as that. Especially since I'm desperately trying to come out about mine. Link to comment
count tiszula
Mmm.....yummy spanking...........though personally I'd prefer to watch. But seriously, so many similarities to our own dear interest, including the dictionary use. And I agree, it seems very odd that spanking is somehow more generally acceptable than sneezing. At least as a sexual interest, that is. Obviously for normal people sneezing is so ordinary as to be instantly forgettable, while paradoxically spanking is often disapproved of in everyday life............ Link to comment
happybunny
oh goodness! That was beautifull. ;______;Thanks soo much for sharing. When I find my love I wonder if i will be as brave as she. This was so beautifll thanks or sharing. It's just so beautifull!! >.> Link to comment
Lalena
What a wonderful article! The parallels I see between my own experiences and the author's are amazing. Thanks so much for posting this. It was a lovely read. Link to comment
alias
That is so interesting how much we can all relate to that. The part that I related to the most was how her fetish is both sexual and asexual. She hit the nail on the head there for me. Link to comment
Pearlised
It's adorable!!!I also think it's quite cute how she explains everything as though spanking is the only fetish that do certain things, like the dictionary reading or the term 'vanilla'.I also think it's a difficult thing to stand back and be able to analyse your own behavour, so props to her!! Anonymouse
What a great article! I agree with what she said about finding a community, except I feel completely supported and understood by everyone here, not just "almost." I might have to share this with my boyfriend. He's very supportive of my fetish, has known about it for almost three years now and indulges me often, but I still feel like she explained what it's like to have a fetish better than I could. zneeze
That's incredible. Great find, Amelie. I'm a writer too but I don't think I'd ever be brave enough to tell the world as she has done. Still, brilliant. Link to comment
Smokey
This is a lovely article- can very much relate to her, she's very brave i must say, i could never come out about our fetish ( for anyone who has though i have complete admiration for you )Thank you so much for posting this Link to comment

•.*°•☆. Q .☆•°*.•
Wow. So much of that was relative to me, as well. Especially the parts about trying to be honest with yourself, and how a fetish can be even more than sex, and about feeling "almost"s. Wow wow. Thanks for posting this. Link to comment
Lookatthelight
Sorry for the absurdly late reply but aw what a cute story! So many parallels. I do slightly think though that it may be a bit easier for someone with a spanking fetish these days than a sneezing one, just as S&M has been glamourized in the media, whereas most people haven't even heard of ours.
