Too Good For Too Long

Maybe this is just a sickly kid thing, but does anyone ever feel like they've been healthy for too long? Like, 'it's been too long since I've been sick... Oh god is this gonna come back to bite me!?' Sort of thing?

I know I do. It's nearly Thanksgiving and I haven't had to go to the hospital yet. O.O I'm rather worried what the karma for that much good attendance and lack-of need for antibiotics will be...

Trust me, you don't want to jinx it. I was the same way for about two years, no actual cold. Just the sniffles from my allergies. Now, I've come down with the cold from hell. I'm super sneezy, sleepy, I have the chills. My stomach and head are a mess. It's no fun and I'm very miserable. Be glad you're healthly.

I'm not really sickly, but I'm really suspicious of my health right now. xD Usually I get a cold around the beginning of fall and spring, and my fall one never hit. I did get a cold in June, which was just as strange, but now I'm kind of waiting for something terrible to hit me. I really hope it doesn't end up like that. *crosses fingers*

This happened to me last month! I was thinking about how the whole band had been sick and I wasn't, and then my friend and I both came down with a cold and we were ultra miserable xD she had it worse, though. But I'm always worrying about this kind of thing! This also happened in the beginning of June, and I was freaking out. It was the first fever I had gotten in...basically 3 or 4 years.

Thank you. I'm improving a little, and found some ways to relieve some of the more painful symptoms.

I haven't had more than a mild sore throat or case of the sniffles for about three years. I'm typically a pretty healthy person, but I used to get at least two or three colds a year, and when I did they would be entire colds, not just fleeting symptoms. Part of this might be that my body has become more "adult" rather than "teenaged" during that time, so my immune system has matured...but I'm not old enough yet for it to decline.

Honestly, though, I'm not so much concerned about karma or that I'll have to get sick because I haven't been. I'm concerned that my immune system is too strong and I'm going to end up with an auto-immune disease--those run in my family. I'd rather have colds, kthnx. So far so good on the auto-immune front, lets hope it stays that way.

Yes, after a while I feel like I haven't gotten sick for some time and then I'm just waiting for it to happen >.<
