Multiple Sneezers?

So recently I've noticed that I have a friend who always, without fail, sneezes multiple times. In fact, I have never seen him only sneeze once. It's always in two's, three's or even more.

I know he doesnt have allergies or hay fever.. he's just a multiple sneezer! And I was wondering.. is there a reason some people are multiple sneezers?

I know you sneeze multiple times when your nose has failed to expel the irritant completely, but what I wan't to know is- is there a reason certain people can't get all these irritants out first try? Which is why they have to ALWAYS sneeze more than once?

It's something that I've been curious about for a while now. Also, I really enjoy talk on multiple sneezes, because I really, reeeeeeeally like them smile.png

I'm also a huge fan of multiple sneezes. Two, three, and four are my favorites... and I like when there's at least enough space to breathe between them.

I'm not sure, it may actually be out of habit. By the time you're a teenager/adult I feel like your sneezing pattern would be pretty much set from whatever you did when you were younger. I could be wrong though.

Whatever the cause, I'm glad consistent multiple sneezers exist.

I am also a HUGE fan of multiples! In fact, I love it when the sneezes are spaced out just enough with little tiny breaks in between! The sneeziest person I ever knew generally sneezed in twos and threes, except when he had a cold and then he would sneeze in singles, which was interesting. And I now have a friend, who apparently always sneezes anywhere from ten to fifteen times a crack. Dying to see that, but guess I'm stuck waiting because he also has a killer mental block, which is killing me!!!!

And I have always myself been curious about sneezing patterns and why some people sneeze in multiples and some don't. Did anyone Google it? I'm too lazy!!! LOL

Count me in as another fan of multi-sneezes! I especially love it when someone has those rapid-fire multiple fits. Sadly I currently don't know anyone who does either of those :( But I do remember an old teacher from High School who always used to sneeze in fits, he never ever sneezed just once. It was always fun to watch when it happened.

I'm a multiple sneezer. Mostly I sneeze 3-4 or more, but sometimes I give only single. I don't know why. My nose tickles even after some sneezing and I just have to let out sneezing more and more. It's automatically.

Just hazarding a guess as to the cause of multiples, but it may have something to do with neurology and reflex-time. My estimation is that If you sneeze before your mind realizes you've sneezed, you may have to sneeze again. Likewise, if it takes you long enough to sneeze that your mind re-registers the need to sneeze before you've done it, you may also have to sneeze more than once.

My boyfriend is a multipler sneezer. He usually sneezes in fits of 4 or 5 sneezes, the first two are always without breathing between them... something like HESH-HESH!! and then he goes on with these really harsh HEERSHH!!! sharp inhale HEEERSHHH!! sharp inhale HEEERSHHTT!! exhausted and watery eyes. Aww gotta love his multiples :D

I add myself to the list of multiples lovers! I just can't resist rapid fits with no breathing in between. I remember a high school mate who sneezed always at least in quadruple! I stared at him every time :) He included both stifled and out sneezes in varied combinations. Too bad currently I know nobody who has fits like those...

Multiples are yummy, though naturally I don't think I've sneezed more than 5 times in a row. I'd actually say probably three but you never know. Throw in some allergens, and I'm a multiple though.
