SneezySal Posted November 28, 2012 Posted November 28, 2012 I used to try pepper alone to make myself sneeze. I usualy found that, after getting nowhere for five minutes, I would give up and give my nose a good thorough blow, then a few minutes later I would have a fit of a few sneezes.Next, I found washing powder often accidently caused a sneeze, but seldom more than one.So then I tried equal parts of pepper and washing powder and found it much more potent, producing a fit that would last over a minute. Now I use the recipe of equal parts pepper, washing powder, cinnamon and talcum powder (the last of which sort of tricks my nose into believing the mixture is something friendly). I mix it thoroughly and take a good sniff. Usually that brings a fit instantly. But if nothing happens I'll then tickle that sweet spot in my nose with a bristle, and suddenly it's "everybody run for cover, she's gonna blow!"Using this cocktail I've found not only the most reliable method for sneezing, but it produces the longest fits I've ever experienced.Does anyone else use a mixture of ingredients? If so, please share your recipe. I'd love to try it.I would also be very interested to hear any feedback from anyone who gives my recipe a try!!!
Nixie81 Posted November 28, 2012 Posted November 28, 2012 If I had talcum powder, I would try you recipe right now! I've never experimented with mixing things. That's pretty much just baby powder, right?

party_girl077 Posted December 5, 2012 Posted December 5, 2012 Very interesting! Is it safe to use washing powder?
zneeze Posted December 5, 2012 Posted December 5, 2012 (edited) But if nothing happens I'll then tickle that sweet spot in my nose with a bristle, and suddenly it's "everybody run for cover, she's gonna blow!"If I were watching you induce, I wouldn't be running anywhere! This sounds really interesting. I'm not in a position to try it right now, but I'm definitely gonna get around to it someday soon! Thanks for sharing SneezySal! Edited December 5, 2012 by zneeze
SneezySal Posted December 7, 2012 Author Posted December 7, 2012 I think the tiny amount of washing powder makes it safe, since I don't mix this very often. The other key thing is that I sniff a really small amount, like a tiny pinch.
