It does happen to me. Not only with sneezing.

"There are so many awesome people who I will never get to meet. There are so many beautiful places I will never get to see. There are so many brilliant books I will never get to read." etc.

It is normal to get mad about the things you aren't going to experience, but you can always try and experience as much as you possibly can!

When life offers you lemons, you make an orange juice. Or something like that.

Similar. I've found myself thinking:

"There are 6 billion people in the world,

2 billion of those would be awake right now

I's allergy season for 1 billion of them",

and so it goes, including estimates of hayfever, etc.,

until I get to, "So such and such a number of attractive people are having a prolonged sneezing attack RIGHT NOW".

Actually, I often think the other way around. "There is so much stuff out there, why is 99 % of it completely uninteresting to me?" and it doesn't just go for fetishy things, but everything. TV shows, movies, books, plays, songs, people...!

I mean really. Yep, I'm picky and my taste isn't very mainstream, but still. I often find myself wanting to make a few small changes; change the plot slightly in a movie, switch an actor for someone else, have a specific author write the plot in the book I just read and disliked because of the original author's writing style, and most of all, I always want to change the camera angles and the cut in almost every single movie I see.

(There are dramaturgical perfection out there though... Rebecca, Silence of the Lambs, and Mothman Prophecies. Sadly, I didn't like either the actors or the plots particularly, instead. )

But... the devil is in the details, right?
