"Let it Snow" (Erik & Theresa fic- written for Cake) <3

I Really, Really, Really hope that you like it. It isn't an *official" Secret Santa or anything- but I wanted to write something for you.

And I even wrote the "s word" just for you. Several times in fact.

**Author's Note: This is prior to "Revelations". Just some holiday fluff.

Let it Snow

The weather was horrid- driving winds, chilling cold, and lots of snow. I was surprised that Erik had made it over. He brushed snow from his hair and wiped off his glasses. We had a lovely dinner ordered in from a local Italian place that thankfully was still delivering that night. Thankfully they came while Erik was in the bathroom so that I could actually pay. Such a “guy” sometimes. I made sure to tip generously.

Later on, sitting by the fire snuggled up with Erik and drinking hot cocoa, I thought that I hadn’t ever had such a lovely Christmas Eve. Suddenly I reached for a tissue as my breathing caught, “iShoo...heh… eh.. EiShoo” Well, almost perfect.

Erik sleepily murmured, “Bless you. You have enough blanket sweetheart?”

“I’m fine. Is your head any better? Are you alright with some music?”

He nodded and stretched. “I’m… sorry about this. Our first Christmas as a couple, and th… ei… EiShuh… EiiiTchuh uh… *sniff* this. ‘Cuse me.”

I shook my head, “Bless. I already told you, it wasn’t you. Getting sick the day after means that it was from another source or sources. Silly.” I said, lightly ruffling his chestnut hair. Besides, it contributes to lovely evening. Not that I’d say that, but…

I turned on the radio to the local “Christmas” station, and went back to the sofa.

Oh the weather outside is frightful,

But the fire is so delightful,

And since we’ve no place to go,

Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow.

He smiled, and pulled me close. “How did you manage to pick such a perfect song?”

“Magic.” I responded with an answering grin. “You know… there is a perk to both of us being sick at the same time.”

“Hmmm?”

“Well… “ I held up a finger, and he quickly handed me a tissue. “eiitChoo… oh sorry… well it means that you aren’t allowed to be scared to kiss me.” I finished with a wink.

“Oh…. I see. Is that a request?” he said, cupping my face with his hands.

“Maybe.”

“Well… I wouldn’t want to deny you a wish on Christmas Eve.” He came in closer, “But as long as you love me so, let it snow, let it snow, let it snow.” He sang close to my ear, his voice congested and a little rough but still lovely. Alright, my opinion may not be entirely unbiased, however…

I turned and kissed him. I had never really appreciated that song before. But somehow tonight it felt right. Warm and cozy. It was miserable out there, and I might be a bit of a mess, and he might feel a little embarrassed, but all in all it truly was perfect.

“Merry Chri.. Chr..eii” he quickly pulled out a handkerchief and muffled four harsh sneezes into it, and then sighed.

“Bless”

He nodded. “I’ll try again. Merry Christmas, Theresa.” He kissed me gently on the lips.

“Merry Christmas sweetheart. What do you say to turning on the lights to the tree, turning off the rest of the lights, and just snuggling until we fall asleep?”

“That sounds like a brilliant idea.” We got things set, and left the radio on, turning it down slightly. We lay there wrapped in each other’s arms bathed in the small glow of the tree. As I drifted off to sleep, the last thing I remember was hearing the strains of Silent Night.

Love it but did I miss something . I've been looking and looking for an update to do you? Just want to make sure I didn't somehow miss it

No... I have the ideas for where I'm going to go with that but... was having a bit of writer's block. So was doing a couple shorter things to hopefully "bust out" of that. I think that I may be back on a roll. *fingers crossed*

Aww, that was really sweet. I love the hugginess, and the songs were just adorable. I've always wanted to write a story like this with a little singing in it. It's just so cute.
