Well Dayum… I haven’t posted any stories here as of late. I’m sorry for that. I made a post back in November asking you guys to give me any requests to draw or write any sickfic based on an animated movie, cartoon or male superhero only. I got many requests asking for the one and only Dick Grayson! (MY BABY!!) For those who don’t this gorgeous man/son/brother here’s some history… He’s is the first Robin and first ward of Bruce Wayne. He became Batman twice. He was the leader of Teen Titans He’s mostly known as Nightwing. He’s the best big brother to his younger adopted siblings, he‘s self giving... And he’s a Hugger!! He’s my favorite so I shall write him!

So this request is for those who wanted a sickfic with Dick as the victim. A special Shoutout to cakeface33 who wanted a Teen Titans fic with Dick Grayson and Starfire!

Starefire sometimes wondered what her life would be like had she not come across her new friends…what would her future without…

Robin…

At first, Starfire was unsure about the boy she came to know as Robin. Could she trust him or would he hurt her? She was happy to be wrong. She was happy the stories about humans and earth were wrong. Robin taught her so much, he taught her how to trust, how to live…how to fall in love. She loved the boy that was in bed, sick with a high fever. She loved the boy who she hoped loved her back. There was so much about her masked hero that the young teen didn’t know about. Starefire knew he was trained by Batman and that Robin left to be his own hero. That’s all she knew about his past. But over time, she got to know him more. He was kind, caring, he was protective and he was a child at heart.

So the young woman who wiped the feverish sweat from the brow of her friend’s forehead wondered how can one boy take on the burden’s of so many? How does he keep his emotions in tact? How can one man called Deathstroke or Slade cause her dearest friend to suffer so much to the point of obsession on both ends?

Starfire took Robin’s clammy hand in her soft warm ones rubbed her thumb over his. She sadly remembered Robin training everyday, every night to try and best his foe Slade. The others were just as worried about their friend but it was Starfire who expressed the most concerns. She didn’t care about this pride Robin had, it was costing him his health and sanity. It’s because of his neglect that he’s in bed right now. Starfire wiped a tear from her green eyes and prayed that her Robin would be ok. The young Tamarian took the rag and dipped it in the cool water to try and ease her love’s pain. While doing so, she began to sing a tune she remembered her mother singing to her when she fell ill. It wasn’t like her usual singing…it was more peaceful and soft. The cool sensation caused the young boy to stir in his feverish sleep. Even though he still wore his domino mask, Robin could vaguely hear someone singing to him. He didn’t realize it was Starfire at first as he felt a cool sensation on his face and someone rubbing his hand… He started to cough weakly and then felt a tickle in his nasal passages.

“Heh…itshioooo, Itshioooo!…ugh”

“B-Bless You Robin..” The young Tamarian spoke as she watched in deep concern as her friend sluggishly turned towards her. She helped the masked hero sit up and rubbed his back as he began coughing. Once the small fit was done, Starfire handed Robin a glass of cool water helping him take small sips. Starfire may not have ever had a human cold but from his red nose, to congested sneezes and painful coughs, she could tell he was miserable.

‘I’ll help you in anyway I can Robin…I hate seeing you all of people-’

Starfire’s thoughts were interrupted when the sick boy spoke in a scratchy and pained voice. It nearly made Starfire cry right then and there.

“S..Starfire? Whad are dou doing here?…itshioooo…itshiooooo! Ishoo!”

“Bless you. The others left to…hangout as you would say and I chose to be here with you. You caught “the cold” so I wanted…to…uh?

“Bake sure I was ok right? Dook, Star, I’b- I-I-”

As Robin’s breathing became more rapid, Starfire quickly ripped the tissue box open and held the fresh tissues to the sick boy’s runny nose. Starfire could tell these sneezes would be painful.

“Het’xchuuuuu! HEH..HEH….ESHIOOOOOO! HX’GHTTT….ishiooo.ishooooo……IISHOOOOOOOO!”

“R-Robin…? Are you alright?!”

‘DID I JUST ASK HIM THAT!? I am stupid….’ Starfire thought sadly as she watched her friend and secret love.

Robin’s only response was wet blow that sounded as equally painful as his sneezes and coughs. Starfire never seen this before. Robin could get hurt, break his arm, suffer a concussion or worst and bounce back as if nothing could touch him. But it seemed that this human ailment he suffers from, was the foe he couldn’t beat. Well Starfire would be his ally in this fight. Cyborg before leaving, told her that Robin would be fine so long as the stubborn kid took his medicine and rest properly(Which meant no training!)

‘If I didn’t get hurt by Slade…Robin would never trained this hard.’

Starfire looked down at her bandaged arm unaware that Robin was looking at her behind his domino mask. The two teens remembered a week ago when Slade attacked them. Slade was faster then Robin and quickly knocked him down. He was aiming to kill when Starfire flew in front of him and Slade shot her instead. Lucky for them it wasn’t life threatening but there was blood.

And Robin saw red that day. Starfire never seen Robin loose his cool like that. Thank God Beastboy and Raven dealt with Slade who got away while Cyborg dealt with her and Robin. Once they returned, Robin looked at Starfire with such guilt, everyone felt it. She to this day never blamed him for her injury. She would do it again if she had too.

“I wad weak…thad’s why dour still hurdt. He didn’t look at her but her bandaged arm..”

Robin I-”

“I’b sorry Star… I-I heh…shoul…should h-have…”

Robin tried to starve off the sneezes as best he could. He cared so much for the young woman sitting with him. But because of his neglect to be stronger….because of his weak training…Slade hurt the person who he cared for.

What would he think…? What would Bruce think?

Robin rubbed at his nose feverishly. He didn’t want to be all disgusting in front of the woman he cared for. What would she think? Robin hated being sick. He hated the sneezing,the coughing, and more importantly feeling weak. While he was in bed, the others were hanging out. He could do that or at least be training. Robin’s breathing stopped as he felt a soothing material over his chapped nose. The whites of his mask widened a bit as he turned to Starfire who smiled at him as she held the tissues on his nose. Robin was so surprised that he let go of whatever breath he had and as a result, he sneezed very painful sneezes… Starfire never let moved the tissues from his nose, feeling and catching his sneezes.

“Het’xchuuuuu! HEH..HEH….ESHIOOOOOO! HX’GHTTT….ishiooo.ishooooo……IISHOOOOOOOO! itshioooo…itshiooooo! Ishoo! I…ishuu…I hade d’this.”

“It will be alright Robin…I won’t leave you…and with the record…I do not think you weak at all. I’m…f-f-fond of you. You are one of the most strongest people I know. You will beat Slade…but for now, rest…Please.”

Starfire gently spoke as Robin weakly blew his nose in the tissues Starfire held from him. His cheeks became redder to match the fever he had but this was from embarrassment of having his crush do this much for him.

“Star..the sayin’g is for the record.”

Starfire and Robin laughed a bit and this started the sick teen to start coughing. This reminded Starfire to give him the medicine that Cyborg mention would help the sick teen sleep. Reading the instructions carefully, the young girl gave Robin the medicine and some water. When finished, she helped him under the warm covers and kissed him on the forehead. Starfire gasped as she realized what she did…

‘He’s sick. Fevers cause memory loss…he won’t remember any of this…’ Starfire thought sadly as she got up to fix food for herself and Robin. Before leaving, she felt a warm hand wrap into her cool one. Starfire sat back down as she saw Robin reach for her. In a sleepy voice, Robin spoke…

“P-Please…stay…Don’t leave be.”

"B-b-but Robin I-”

“I want to..to say I care for dou…I c-care for dou so buch Star. I-I love dou.. And it’d dot the fever talking..”

“Robin…I-I love you too…I always have ever since I met you I felt safe with you. I feel the butterflies in my stomach and while that’s a weird saying humans have, I understand and-”

Starfire stopped ranting when she heard heavy breathing beside her. Robin actually fell asleep. Starfire fondly kissed his forehead and placed the cloth back in the cool water rinsed it, and gently placed it on Robin’s forehead. Satisfied that Robin was ok, Starfire gathered the used tissues threw them out and grabbed the bowl of warm water to replace it with cool water. Starfire kissed Robin’s cheek and silently prayed for his health to return. As Starfire was about to leave the room to make Robin something, she heard him whisper to her softly.

“I love you…Starfire…”

Starfire smiled as turned off the lights in room and before leaving, the room she gently spoke back.

“As do I robin, as do I.”

As her love slept, Starfire walked down the hall as she sang the tune that her mother sang to her. She smiled as she thought of her mother and now her love.

As you lay your head down,

your mind wanders round and round.

Am I weak, am I strong?

Can I hold my own on unsteady Ground?

Sometimes I can’t answer these questions.

But isn’t that the main lessons?

The lesson is this…You are loved.

The answer is simple I know…

I will be strong for you

I will be the steady ground

I will be the person you need

The answer was simple, yes I know.

Woah this is something. Very descriptive on how Robin and Starfire(?) feel. I like it very much. Awh not trying to show weakness and a tad bit of m/f love, usually I'm not one for reading about straight couples(idk LGBT is cooler.. Too me. ) but this story makes me like this kinda relashinship c3
